Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Caldwell County

I surprised my wife with a weekend birthday trip to the mountains. Sherries place was perfect. It was beautiful and spacious. It’s close to everything but you still feel secluded. We enjoyed it very much and really like to use it again in the near future.

Absolutely perfect spot for a ski getaway. We had a blast at Beech Mtn and loved being able to snuggle up next to a real fire after a wonderful day of skiing

We were not able to stay on our dates as our daughter woke up extremely sick. I called Randy and he was willing to move the dates for a future date. I really appreciate him working with us and was unfortunate we had to cancel the morning of. We look forward to staying there soon.

We always enjoy staying here! It’s our go-to place on Beech Mountain. Super-comfortable beds. We love sitting on the balcony and watching the deer while we have coffee in the morning. Michelle is a gracious host and an excellent communicator. Thanks again for another great stay!

Quick stay for a wedding at the Overlook Barn just up the road. The apartment is just as advertised, and Ryan was a very communicative and helpful host. The location is fantastic if you're doing anything in Beech Mountain or Banner Elk. Everything was very clean and ready to go when I arrived. I would highly recommend Ryan's place.

We had a great stay!! Everything was just as described! Perfect distance to sugar and beech for skiing! We hope to be back soon!

The condo is beautifully decorated, spotless and feels like home. If you want a great view of the mountains, this is it, directly facing Grandfather Mountain! Jason was a very responsive, proactive and helpful host. Grateful for such a wonderful experience in this place.

A great location if you are doing activities at Beech Mountian resort, very walkable. They were very responsive and provide very good info for dining and activities.

Stephanie's home was very comfortable, with plenty of space, great amenities, and incredible views. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay at Sugar Mountain.

We absolutely loved the condo. It was super cute, the hosts left snacks for us to enjoy. super close to allot or fun activities. can't wait to visit again.

Great 1 bedroom condo at Sugar Ski. Host was excellent unit had everything you would need and recently renovated. If you are looking for a 1 BR unit at Sugar Ski I would stay here. I always stay at Sugar Ski when coming to Sugar Mountain. Nice indoor pool area and you can’t beat the close proximity to the ski resort in the winter. You can walk out your door and start skiing right down the mountain.

We had another great stay at Retreat on the Ridge! Everything was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. The view is unbeatable and always our favorite part of our stay!

This was the first time we have stayed at this Sugar Top location and with Michelle as host and i sincerely hope to stay again! Michelle was a great communicator and very patient with all my questions. The unit was lovey, updated, comfortable, and welcoming. The beds were COMFY! There were lots of extra blankets and pillows, which was so nice to have. The space was perfect for our little family! The staff at the property were all so friendly and helpful. We genuinely felt welcomed from beginning of our stay until we checked out. 10 out of 10 recommend Michelle and her property!

We really loved our stay! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Great views of Hawksnest snow tubing (which was a fun activity). The house had everything we needed — comfortable beds, plenty of blankets, fireplace and fire pit, a stocked coffee bar, and plenty of parking. The kids loved the bunk room and game room. The balcony has a lot of comfortable seating as well. The hosts were incredibly gracious and kind, as well as available if we needed them. Thanks for the wonderful stay!!

The cabin was everything we needed this weekend! The screen porch was a perfect place to wind down in the evening. The kids were excited to pick from the DVD collection and game shelf. The community center was perfect for fishing and paddle boats with the kids. We also were close enough to the creeks to splash around in the mornings like I did growing up. We will be back!

We booked this house last minute, on the drive up, after our previous booking was damaged in a storm. Check in was easy and the place was ready to go. The house itself was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the workout area, hot tub and tons of games as well as a 3 minute drive to the ski resort. It was everything we were looking for.

I loved this house and location. It was great for an extended stay with family. There was space for everyone and things to do around the house to keep you busy. The sheds with the game room and workout room were great! The view and yard was beautiful! I loved that they had cleaning products and detergent and dishwasher tabs for us to use without limiting that. We had two things that needed to be fixed during our stay, but the response time and respect of privacy was great!! Given we were there for 2 weeks I was sad to leave! I would return.

Great Location Great view clear instructions. Nice for 2 families vacation. Condo was very good clean and so many games for kids. Aimee cohost is always responsive for any questions. Good for vacation. I will go again if i will plan for Beach mountains.

Our family loved staying at Jared’s home. Lovely space, quiet but easy to get to Boone and Blowing Rock. Plenty of room for a family of five and we will certainly try to stay here again next time we are in the area.

Our stay at the mountain was great with lots of snow! The house was clean and comfortable. Only 8mins to Beech Mtn. just an FYI, the driveway is steep and could be tricky in the winter without AWD. Also lots of stairs as stated. all in all we had a great stay and would go back on a heartbeat.
