Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cape Charles

Absolutely perfect vacation spot for a coastal getaway! We brought our dog and had a blast walking around town, to the beach, and enjoying the beautiful weather of Cape Charles. The neighborhood was quiet and in walking distance to everything in the historic downtown. The park across the street was beautiful and our pup enjoyed sniffing around! We will definitely be back.

While somewhat spare in furniture and niceties, the place was clean and well-situated for all that you’d want from the lovely Cape Charles area. The property is wonderful, wooded and quiet. And having a full laundry set-up was very nice.

Cute and cozy, this house has unique and unusual features because of its age that make it an interesting place to stay. Loved the frog song from the wetlands in the neighborhood and the proximity to various waterways and scenic views.

Rachel’s place was wonderful. She provided clear instructions and the house was so clean and welcoming. Only complaint is her bathrooms only had 3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - if you plan on staying I’d advise to bring your own toiletries. Other than that everything was wonderful!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful, brand-new home in Cape Charles! The space was spotless, thoughtfully furnished, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It’s clear the host put a lot of care into making guests feel welcome—the check-in process was smooth, communication was prompt and helpful, and the attention to detail really stood out. This was easily one of our best stays in Cape Charles yet. The location was perfect, and the comfort of the home made it hard to leave. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, modern, and well-managed place to stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay at Sundrop was amazing! Even before I made our reservation, Johanna and Danny were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Once booked, their friendly and helpful assistance continued throughout our stay. The house was perfect for our family of four. We spent the majority of our time at the beach, and felt so fortunate that the shed out back was already stocked with beach chairs, an umbrella, sand toys, boogie boards, floaties, and coolers. We rented a golf cart, and it made getting to/from the beach and restaurants a snap! We were first timers at Cape Charles, but will definitely be coming back soon!

The place was immaculate, and everything was in working order. The property is beautiful. I will stay there again next time I come to town.

Wonderful hosts. Thought it might be weird staying in someone’s guest home with them right next door but was not at all. Would definitely return and stay here again. Place was very convenient to restaurant and was in a quiet neighborhood.

We had an excellent stay at the Fish House- right on the water with beautiful views and peaceful morning cups of coffee on the deck. Michelle was very responsive and provided great recommendations on everything from restaurants to kayaking spots. While the marina is a working business we did not find that it negatively impacted our stay and in fact it enhanced it since the employees there were very kind and courteous. We can't say enough about Michelle's hospitality- she has a true gift! We wanted to have direct access to abundant kayaking and this was for sure the spot to be. While we paddled the creek/inlet area we also found the Oyster Point paddling trail (just a few minutes down the road) to be a great excursion. We will be planning to return!

Good place, nice and clean, well maintained as Airbnb type, freshly colored, several things to make place beautiful. Everything was there as described no surprises. I didn’t have to ask for anything during my stay, that made stay so much smooth.

we had a very good stay! The place was very close to a few museums and within a 15 min drive to great restaurants and other attractions. The two bedrooms were perfect for a family traveling with children and the extra small child amenities were excellent!5/There were a few issues during the stay (WiFi went out and a small sink problem in the bathroom) but the host got them fixed immediately! I'd definitely book this property again!

Anne's place was just spectacular! Perfect for 2 couples as our home-base to explore Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. The high end furnishings are beautiful. The patio, yard and lake view were wonderful. We enjoyed the theater room each night. Thank you for a great vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Carla & Shannon’s place. Everything was neat and in order. The check in was super easy & flexible. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and walked around the town. They’re both very quick to reply back & we had a chance to talk with Shannon in person & she was super sweet.

Gorgeous ocean views, great location, the balcony was the favorite spot the entire stay! Comfortable furniture, nice little cozy condo! Highly recommend the stay if you’re in the area!

Clean and Spacious for Four people. Great kitchen Space. But could use a better couch Seating in living room. Bedrooms. And beds were great. Would rent again.

What an amazing stay! I've never been satisfied with an Airbnb, the photos always are so much nicer than the reality - but Big Blue was actually even better than advertised! Merlyn's communication prior to arrival made things very easy. Accessing the unit was simple, and I felt safe with the self-locking doors. The unit was clean and so comfortable, with many personal touches - I instantly felt at home. I was overjoyed when I arrived and toured the unit. Really exceeded my expectations which was such a different feeling than all the other Airbnb I've rented over the years. The beach access was tidy and pretty, the gym and beach gear a nice touch, and the foot wash station was appreciated after my morning walks with the dog. I really can't say enough great things about my stay here. Hosts were friendly and helpful every step of the way. We mostly spent our time traveling around the area from VA Beach to OBX so I can't speak much about Norfolk/Ocean View. I would def rent Big Blue again.

This is truly a hidden gem in Cape Charles! We recently stayed for the long holiday weekend and loved every minute of our trip. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and the location couldn't be better. We enjoyed having the ability to walk around town and have stores and restaurants so close by. The host was friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again!
