This beautiful 19th-century villa, recently renovated by its owner, overlooks the charming Gulf of Porto Azzurro with its crystal-clear waters. From mid-summer 2021, a stunning private swimming pool with a beach-style area and sun terrace has been available. The pool is located approximately 60 metres from the villa, in a position that enjoys sunshine throughout the day. For safety and privacy reasons, the pool and its garden are fully enclosed by fencing. The pool, which is for the exclusive use of Villa Bacci guests, is perfectly integrated into its surroundings through traditional dry-stone walls inspired by the original 19th-century structures on the property. It features a sun terrace paved with split stone from Puglia. The pool area is fully equipped for relaxation, including professional sun loungers, parasols, a chestnut-wood gazebo with reed covering, as well as teak tables and chairs. Villa Bacci comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests in seven double bedrooms, tastefully furnished and enriched with antique furniture and prints. The property, extending over approximately 2 hectares, is surrounded by olive trees, lemon trees, centuries-old pines and palms, and features a large garden with beautiful flowering plants on the southern side, as well as a cool private woodland area to the north. The villa offers all the amenities needed to enjoy outdoor living, including chairs, tables, deck chairs, and a convenient gas barbecue, which each summer is used to grill large quantities of meat and vegetables purchased from nearby local farms. Villa Bacci, which is protected by the Tuscany Region as a building of historical and architectural interest, is characterised by terracotta floors, ceilings with terracotta vaults, and a spectacular elliptical staircase in pietra serena, specially brought from Florence in the mid-19th century. The garden features a charming wrought-iron pergola leading to the covered parking area, the vineyard, and a road said to have been commissioned by Napoleon, which leads to Porto Azzurro. Thanks to its privileged location, guests can enjoy breathtaking views, perhaps while savouring a delightful aperitif accompanied by fresh white wine produced from the estate’s own vineyard. The house is highly appreciated by guests for the high level of comfort it offers. It is an excellent base from which to explore the Island of Elba, while relaxing in a peaceful and welcoming environment with family or friends.
