Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Carate Urio

We stayed as a group or 5 including two children. Large place with two bathrooms (second is accessible from the outside). Very well equipped kitchen, good heating throughout, (we visited during a cold week) and a great view. The host is very helpful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful! The view is extraordinary and the Airbnb is clean with good utensils in the kitchen. Davide and Kerry also gave really fast answers. Amazing!

We spent three nights in the April home - the perfect spot on the lake to enjoy the surroundings (e.g. a hike to Montepiatto with the hilarious view over the lake … or a boat trip to Como or to Lenno or to any place on the lake … or enjoy an Italian breakfast in the Bar Italia in the pittoresk Marina … or have a first class dinner on the lake in the Vapore restaurant … or or or. That is what we did during our three days ) Everything is in walking distance, so: Italian dolce vita at its best. We definitely recommend.

Such a historic, peaceful and walkable place. Market, 3restaurants and boat dock close for boat tours. Eros and Daniel were some of most helpful and responsive hosts I have seen. They live a block away. Will always cherish sitting on lawn at dusk watching lake Como lights come on

This home is in an outstanding location overlooking the lake and Lugano. We were blown away by the view from every window. The location was very peaceful, and the home was extremely well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony or the covered deck every day (depending on how hot it was!). The home is located a quick drive to downtown Lugano, and a short drive to the top of Monte Bre (highly recommend!) and to Gandria (also highly recommend). We fell in love with Lugano and the surrounding area thanks in part to this house…we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the stay! Gandria is a picturesque, small village and despite the quiet, tranquil location, there are several restaurants and cafes where you can stop. Louise's apartment has been designed with great care and has everything you need for a few relaxing days.

Emanuele is a great host that communicates promptly and clearly. the penthouse has, as advertised, the greatest views of lake Como. We spent 3 out of the 4 evenings of our stay, at the veranda, with food and a bottle of wine, completely absorbed by the views. the drive from Como to Brunate and back is through (at times) a narrow road but even SUVs and the public bus service manage to go up and down. parking is easy as the house lies at a secluded cul de sac with amazing views over the lake. all in all we had a great stay and we lived the place. Our stay at Claudia’s was nothing short of fabulous - her home was a highlight of our two days in Como. We were so eager to enjoy her patio and view of the city / lake we opted to eat dinner at home both nights of our stay. The home was spacious, beautifully decorated, and Claudia gave us great recommendations to make our time the best possible.

Staying in Torno away from the crowds of Bellagio was a really good choice for us - a true taste of Italian life. I had an incredible experience at this Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, everything was exactly as described – if not better. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a dream house . The highlight, though, was the window view – absolutely stunning! Whether it was sunrise or sunset, the scenery was breathtaking and made every moment even more special. The host was responsive, kind, and made sure everything went smoothly. For the quality, comfort, and experience, this place is absolutely worth the money. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway.

This place was perfect for our friend group’s trip! The location was perfect with gorgeous views and the hosts were extremely hospitable even giving us homemade baked goods as a parting gift.

Beautiful home, very easy steps to get into the property. Quick responses, helpful owners who are very accommodating. Amazing location int he heart of Como. Not far from the train station. The cleaner is also very lovely and was so kind to our dog, she couldn’t whip out the bed and water soon enough. Would definitely return and 100% recommend 10/10 ♥️

Had a great time in Palanzo! Quiet environment with lots of privacy, beautiful views and good coffee less than a minute's walk from the accommodation. As far as I'm concerned, the loungers on the terrace are worn out. Furthermore, there could be a little more coffee and tea, and the pillows are on the thin side (personal). Host Donatella is super friendly and helpful and personally welcomed us and explained everything neatly. As far as we are concerned, we recommend staying here for a few days.

We had a wonderful stay in Bellagio and couldn’t have asked for a better host. Alessia was incredibly kind, responsive, and so helpful in planning our visit. She offered great recommendations and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views, thoughtful touches, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was how she even came to meet us at the ferry and helped with our luggage, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. We felt so well taken care of and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting!

It was a clean and very nice place to stay with view of lake Como

Was immediately drawn to the charm of this place! Loved the location by the waterfall, bridge and boat landing. Loved the walk past the boat landing that had incredible views of the lake, the flavor and history of the town…I walked on the cobblestones all the way to the church. I recommend taking the hosts instructions on taking the bus from the train station to his place in Nesso. It was definitely fun to walk from the train station into Como downtown and eat lunch, but getting the bus from there to his place is very hectic and crazy. The buses fill up fast from there with all the Lakeside people! You will save time by walking back to the train station and getting the bus from there. We happened to be there on a holiday weekend the end of May and the buses were not reliable. And the lines were long. I recommend the boats, they are more reliable. But hint… when we went to Bellagio, they said to get in line a half an hour before your boat takes off..you need more time! At least 45.

I must say this place is one of the Airbnbs makes you regret if you book only a couple of days. With a stunning view in every part of the house, this place has so much charm to show what the local life in Como is like. Only a one minute away from the bus stop, it couldn't be more easier to access from/to Bellagio, Como and many other spots along the lake. Our another unique highlight was a swimming in the lido which requires a bit of hike back (don't recommend for who has knee issue) and having dinner around the lido. We didn't want to leave this place.

We spent 4 nights in an absolutely ideal place to rest. The setting is very quiet, with a magnificent view of the lake, perfect for disconnecting. We had an accommodation with an outdoor kitchen, which was really nice to fully enjoy the environment. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The place is also perfectly suited for a stay with a small child: there is a sandbox, a swing, some toys on site, a high chair, a baby bed... even board games for family evenings. The owners are lovely, with lots of little touches that make the difference: on our arrival, fresh fruits, yogurts, beers... And for those who like their peace, don't worry, we hardly saw them The only small point of improvement in my opinion would be the addition of a small pool, it would really be the icing on the cake. But otherwise, everything was great, a real little corner of paradise
