Holiday rentals with lake access in Cascais

The location of the apartment is exactly as I had hoped - in a peaceful, quiet area and within a walkable distance to local supermarkets (including Aldi & Lidl). There were a couple of incidents (one of which was totally unforeseeable), but both of these were dealt with immediately by ‘Victoria’ who manages the property for Julien. Victoria was excellent. The only slight negative, as I’m a very light sleeper, was the thinness of the dividing walls. You can hear the neighbours moving around. They are extremely quiet after about 8:00pm, but when the family gets up at 6:45am to get the kids to school, the noise starts. It does, however, go quiet again about an hour later. If you sleep like a log, this won’t be an issue for you. Other than that, the surrounding area is stunning. Access to the North to places such as Lisbon, Nazaré, Peniche is easy (with a hire car). The same applies to Setubal and Sesimbra to the South.

The house is beautiful, everything works perfectly well. We had only one problem, on the last day the hot water failed and it did not return until we left. Unfortunately on this day the host did not respond promptly as usual and the solution presented did not work. However, I considered this problem to be something punctual, since the house was wonderful and everything worked very well. So I think it was an isolated situation and I didn't let it influence mew review in general. I recommend the house and would return peacefully. Everything was very well presented, the house is modern, super clean, excellent bathroom, perfect shower, my passengers loved it.

Very functional accommodation, we have enough space in the living room to move around. Please note, the ceiling is quite low (I would say 1m80 no more), this accommodation is not suitable for tall people. Carla is adorable, always available and responsive whether through Airbnb or by message. She gives us clear and precise instructions with videos to make it easier. The bedding is comfortable and the accommodation clean overall (if I want to be picky, I would say that the cleaning deserves to be done a little more in the bathroom). As for the neighborhood, it is quite quiet because the accommodation is in a small courtyard. Please note that the Alfama district is very steep and has a lot of stairs, so it is quite a climb. To access the accommodation, there are about thirty sloping steps to climb, it is doable by taking your time. I had a pleasant stay at Carla's and recommend you to stay there as well.

Jaques' apartment is just like the photos, everything is new and you don't lack anything... Jaques left some gifts and we saw him at our entrance, apart from the fact that you don't lack anything. She left salt, oil, sugar, basic items that, many times, in other apartments, they leave you nothing! The apartment was super clean, the bed is very comfortable, the location is very quiet... for those of you who want to rest, it's the right apartment. To go to Lisbon, we went by car and parked there, so we can't comment on the ferry or bus that takes you to Lisbon... we liked it a lot, we hope to repeat! :)

I cannot express how lovely Antonio and Maria are! They were so accommodating to our late flight. They gave us a warm welcome. When we arrived, they directed us to a restaurant because we were all so hungry and hadn’t eaten due to getting in late. The place was beautiful and fully equipped. It had everything!! They left toys for my kids. There was plenty of space for my family and I! The surroundings were gorgeous and the beach that was a 2 minute drive was stunning. Maria and Antonio came to fix the dishwasher when it wasn’t working and they went above and beyond for me. I would absolutely stay here again. And it wasn’t far from Lisbon or Sesimbra (which was also gorgeous). Thank you for such a wonderful stay and being so accommodating xxxx

Anthony's accomodation was extremely beautiful and spacious. For everyone of us privacy is extremely important and we had it there all the time. House was clean and marvellous. Swimming pools was great. Anthony was a great host and was answering our questions very quickly. We would strongly reccomend this place to individuals or families and friends who want to relax and have a lovely time.

We had a great stay at Patrick's villa. Communication was excellent; he responded quickly to any queries, even printing off Latin revision homework for our granddaughter and dropping it at the house, which she really appreciated. As a mixed generations group it worked perfectly as a house, with 2 suites downstairs and 2 upstairs, all with full bathrooms. At night shutters could be lowered automatically which gave added security when travelling with 2 little girls and also ensured a good night's sleep without early morning sun waking us. Air conditioning was good with individual controls The kitchen was well equipped, everything provided. The pool was lovely, a good size and pleasantly warm, although as a minor point softer sunbeds would be a bonus. We made full use of the table tennis and pool tables, as well as using the bbq which is at the rear of the garden. The beaches are vast, a very peaceful area without the commercialism of the Algarve. I'm amazed for Carlos accommodation fully fully occupied flat nice and clean next to the beach lot of bars and restaurants and it has history architecture neighbourhood. Carlos was helpful for the general guide of lisbon and he was responsive quickly. I will definitely stay again Carlos property. thanks Carlos

Great place highly recommend. Host’s were very responsive with clear communication always checking in to see if everything was ok and even check in was flexible with easy digital lock-system aswell as keylock. Clean, has all amenities, cute room

Sofia is the best host I have ever had! So kind, helpful, flexible, and accommodating! The location is perfect, within steps from the water, but quiet and private. The entire flat is cool, comfortable, and cozy. I loved it! I will come back!

The appartement and the room looked exactly how it was in the pictures. The room was very lovely especially with the little balcony. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very quick to respond if there was anything. The location was fine, but the downside is that you have to take the public transport everyday to go to the city cause there is nothing in Amadora. Overall i would recommend this place and i think it’s worth what you pay for.

A cosy place in an amazing location! It took us 2 minutes walk to get to the beach, 15 min by train to get to the heart of Lisbon,direct line to Cascais too. And we were surprised to also find a hiking trail right next to the house, which leads to an astonishing view point. Ana was a great host too, very accommodating and a lovely person! The only bad thing...we had a too short stay for such a great place :)

Super clean and close to everything

Amazing place. Looks exactly like the pictures. The host was very friendly and supportive. Totally worth it.

Great stay. Attentive and helpful host. Sparkling clean. The common areas were cleaned and tidied daily. Public transport nearby. Less than 5 minutes to the bus and train (Comboios) boarding point with connection to the metro lines. Facilities in kitchen, bathroom and room are excellent.
