Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Cavan

Kevin is a fantastic host—warm, communicative, and very accommodating. The location is superb; we had our boat with us, and Kevin kindly arranged a parking spot for it. The house itself is cosy, well-equipped, and made for a comfortable stay. Just a tip: it's best to do your shopping on the way, as the nearest village is Belturbet. We’re already looking forward to returning!

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed our stay at Mary and Ray's home. Each of our 4 rooms had an ensuite bathroom, and the home was equipped with heated floors on the lower level, as well as a wood stove, gas fireplace, and dimmable lights for a cozy evening ambiance. The home has many personal touches like motion sensor night lights in the entrance, staircase, and bedrooms, as well as a display of various family members' drawings and paintings. The view of the lake is amazing. There are many lovely restaurants in the area, including a reservation-only prix-fixe restaurant serving venison and partridge. This is a European home, and we were surprised to see a few added luxuries like a few screened windows as well as a tumble dryer (to soften line-dried clothes). Mary and Ray were incredibly responsive and hospitable to us throughout our stay.

we'd a great stay in the cottage. Claire was amazing! so quick to reply and even purchased a new BBQ free I inquired if there was 1!!! now that's service. place looks exactly like the photos. beds were comfy. only noise was the birds and the lambs ☺️. 10 minutes walk to the local pub and shop. 10 minutes in Longford town. thanks again for everything Claire. look forward to visiting again

I came and stayed with a group of 6 for two nights. The place is absolutely beautiful, Paula was very friendly, helpful and responsive. I think we were all in agreement that we'd love to come back again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Barncharm, it looked even better than the photos. Rosina was always so nice to talk to+responded really quickly to any queries I had! The house itself was like a haven nestled in the gorgeous countryside, inside the house was so cosy+the owner had things for all eventualities. Our little boy loved the house +the gardens outside, he spent ages running around+cycling on his balance bike. He also loved the dogs that were staying in the cottage beside us. Another highlight was the Riverbank pub that was just a 5 minute walk down the road, the staff were lovely there, as was the food.I would'nt hesitate to recommend Barncharm and would have loved to stay longer. Adam's property is in a fantastic location with a beautiful and soothing view over the lake below. A gated estate makes it so peaceful and private. All the amenities in the house that we needed were present and they were of a high standard. We found the property warm and comfortable, and we stayed in winter so that was great. The instructions to the property and how to enter were clear and easy to follow. Adam was very responsive and quick when we asked questions and provided all the information we asked for. He was flexible with our arrival and leaving times which really helped our logistics. We would definitely recommend the property and if we are looking for somewhere in this area again this would be top of our list. Watching the the sun come up on a frosty morning was so lovely!!.

Stayed here for a wedding at Virginia Park lodge, location was perfect and just a 5 min walk. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Check in was really clear and Joanne accommodated us with an early check in which was very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again Thanks Joanne!

We had a wonderful stay and rented the full space—perfect for our family. Michael and Nicola are everything Airbnb was meant to be: warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Unlike many hosts these days who are remote owners, they live on-site and truly care about their guests. They greeted us with enthusiasm and gave great tips on local sights. Our 6-year-old daughter had an amazing time playing with their daughter (also 6). The property is very family-friendly with a zip line, tennis court, playhouse, trampoline, and two friendly dogs who acted as our guides on peaceful walks. The private suite was quiet and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. This was a personal, memorable experience—highly recommended!

Irish cottage dream!! ... that is how I would describe Toddy's. I stayed in the Hideaway in the back and it was just like the pictures. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. A very comfortable bed, kitchenette and everything you need. The location is close enough to drive to Ballinagh (or a long walk) and Cavan Town, and private and peaceful. You wake up in the morning to gorgeous views and sheep in the next field. I also had a peek into the cottage as it wasn't booked and would love to stay there next time! Aishling was VERY responsive and proactive and appeared within the minute when I needed some help. Great job Aishling!

Immaculate place to stay in the countryside! Beautifully kept rooms and all the modern conveniences provided. Nicola and Michael are very warm and welcoming! They had great tips for dinners out, provided us with wellies for walking about their land, and made sure we were comfortable. The setting is serene and relaxing!! It was a great “home base” for doing genealogy work in neighboring counties, and is well situated for great day trips. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. Thanks!!

Norbert place is beautiful so clean and everything you need and more. The makings for breakfast is just a beautiful touch so thoughtful. Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. Corbett is so friendly and helpful

We had a fantastic experience and Sharon’s hospitality went way beyond our expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend taking the opportunity to spend time at the cottage. Sharon and her whole family are very welcoming, helpful and generous with their time and the nice extras including lovely fresh flowers, welcome pack etc.

We had a lovely stay at the Rose Cottage! It was such a beautiful flat with all the listed amenities. Jamie was very responsive with great suggestion for the area!

Had a brilliant stay here, really lovely apartment. Really clean and private. I had my dogs with me and the garden was fenced in and had no issues. Joe was a great host and made the experience easy and comfortable. Would defiently recommend

Stay at Ally’s B&B for 2 nights, the room was very clean & comfortable with everything you need. Alison is lovely, very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat & go. Would definitely recommend this place to family for when they need somewhere to stay while visiting Cavan.

Lovely air b n b in a beautiful area. Very clean and has all you need for a few days break. Plenty to do locally, we particularly liked leebeen park, scenic walk and great playground for kids. Would recommend staying at Megan’s air b n b.

Gerry and Josephine were the most fabulous hosts! Gerry stayed in contact in the lead up to our visit and kept me updated with things we needed to know. He greeted us (with his lovely dogs) on arrival and gave some really helpful recommendations on restaurants and taxis. The place was spotless and we had everything we needed. We had the best stay and will definitely be back!
