Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cayuga Lake

Drift away was a wonderful cottage right on the lake. Place was extremely comfortable. Beautiful views. We didn’t have the greatest weather which would have made the trip so much better, so we hope to plan a trip back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Evan's house. The location is great - secluded but not isolated, and not too far from shopping (Wegmans – 15 minutes) and colleges (Ithaca College – 18 minutes). The house was very spacious and tastefully done. For people that like to cook, there is oil, salt, pepper, ketchup and mustard in the kitchen so there's no need to buy or bring them. There were many thoughtful touches, including flashlights by the outside doors, labels by the lights and temperature controls, phone chargers by the beds, and an outside poop bag garbage bin. Our dog really liked running around the property. Evan was super responsive and always got back to me right away.

Easily now one of our favorite places to stay! Absolutely spotless and in a peaceful locale (we even saw a woodpecker!) Drivable to both Seneca and Cayuga and to Ithaca. Major kudos to Diane and Glen for not only creating a charming and welcoming space with so much thought and care, but ALSO for making it affordable! I have had some terrible, terrible experiences with AirBnB hosts cancelling my reservations to gauge me for more money when they realize it's commencement for one of the colleges, even if that's not remotely the reason for our visit. Finding this listing was fate! I will definitely try to book again in the future. And hopefully the weather will be nicer!

This was a great house in a great location. Communication from owners was excellent, and house was well set up for guests. Would definitely stay here again.

This space is absolutely incredible. Exceeded all of my expectations for comfort and tranquility. Spacious and stunningly curated. I will be booking my next stay immediately! Cannot recommend enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—everything about this place was perfect! The decor was beautifully done, with high-end finishes that made it feel special. The bed was incredibly comfortable—truly the best sleep we've ever had on vacation. The location was convenient, and the home had everything we needed. We’re already planning to rebook for our next trip!

Everything was wonderful and we had a great time. The house was perfect and the road was virtually free of traffic and noise. We would absolutely come back. Seneca Falls is such a cute little town with lots to do within an hours drive.

When we walked in the airbnb, I though someone was playing piano next door, but there was a soothing piano playlist on the TV. The heat and air was already on and set at a comfortable temperature, as well, which was lovely because it was cold and rainy. There were books with suggestions on what to do around the area. We had everything we needed here, and we were very thankful that bottled water was provided! We actually ran into Christopher and he is such a friendly man.

Jerry’s place is my absolute favorite Airbnb ever…and I have stayed in quite a few! It is extremely comfortable, super clean, great area and has everything you can think of. I brought my mom with me on this trip and she loved it! I don’t know when was the last time I have seen my mom napping so peacefully. Everytime I go to Cortland I base my trips on the availability dates for Jerry’s place! Book now, I promise you won’t regret it!

We stayed at George's place on a quick overnight and arrive late. So sad we didn't have more time to stay here. The apartmement is on the top floor so there are stairs to climb but it is just adorable and so charming! The view or Ithaca Falls from the living room windows and the sound of the falls in the morning was spectacular. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay and at Glenn and Diana’s place couldn’t have been better - from the beautiful spacious loft with an awesome lake view to the location which was close to brewers, wineries, and the parks/trails we wanted to see. Not to mention how responsive, welcoming, and friendly Diana and Glenn were. They made us feel right at home. We look forward to another stay with them in the future.

Scott was very responsive and helpful, before and during the stay. His friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable to ask questions. The place was exactly as listed with beautiful views and Scott left great recommendations for places to go nearby. While the weather wasn’t as accommodating during my stay, I would love to come back when it is so I could enjoy all the amenities offered. Overall my friends and I had a great stay!

Our stay in Auburn was fantastic! Beautiful older home that was comfortably renovated and well kept. Unbeatable location right near downtown.

Comfortable quiet apt. with great view of valley, close to central Ithaca. Snacks, bagels very appreciated. Mike is very personable. Taking his advice about what park to visit made our day.

Rachel’s place was phenomenal! It was clean and cozy, and perfect for a quick escape from NYC. It was also close enough to be right in downtown Ithaca within minutes. I will definitely be back again!

Clean, fairly easy to find, comfortable and a great location right in the heart of Armory Square.

This was a repeat visit and another great experience! The apartment was perfect, super convenient to our events and we again appreciated the convenience and excellent fare of the Rye and the Garage restaurants. THE place to stay in Elmira!

Liz was a phenomenal host! She provided thorough instructions on navigating the area and locating the property as well as the garage and was very responsible prior to the start of the booking. Her home was just as pictured and it was a perfect home away from home.

Great stay! Wonderful visit with 3 adults, we gave my mom the larger room and my sister and I stayed in the room with the trundle bed. The living room area was so nice to spend time planning our day or visiting together at the end of the day. Great walking to breakfast and dinner spots. The location will be even better when the renovations are done by the water. Parking was easy and a great home-base for visiting the manyFinger Lakes locations. My mom said the pillows were so comfortable! Great that there was a hair dryer and even a steamer if someone needed it! Many coffee and tea options in the kitchen.

The apartment was adorable and well decorated. It seems as if they had thought of everything! Shalisa was also extremely responsive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend her place.

This was a great stay for us! Super easy to walk to anything downtown, and parking wasn’t too difficult to come by. Highly recommend, especially for anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway!

Diane’s lakeside retreat has definitely earned all these five star reviews! It’s even better than the photos. The view is spectacular, the place is spotless, the bed and furnishings so comfortable. Full of thoughtful touches. Perfect for two people. Believe the hype!
