Holiday rentals with a kayak in Central Manitoulin

This is an amazing place if you want to take a break from everything and enjoy some beautiful, peaceful days. Mark and Victoria are fantastic hosts—thoughtful, welcoming, and well-organized. They even left some toys in the house, which made our son incredibly happy while playing. Although we were unlucky with the weather and couldn’t enjoy activities like canoeing or kayaking due to the wind, we still had a wonderful time. The house is very clean and cozy, and to be honest, it looks even better in person than in the pictures! Thank you, Victoria and Mark, for being such incredible hosts. We truly appreciated everything!

A lovely place to stay in Manitoulin. A spacious cottage with lots of room in the kitchen for cooking, a comfortable living room and a nice large TV. The patio was so inviting with comfy furniture and a beautiful view of the lake. We especially loved swimming in the lake! A sandy bottom and shallow, like a lot of the beaches on Lake Huron. There are amazing hikes close by with lots of options for places to eat and buy food. We would stay here again in our next visit to Manitoulin for sure.

I felt at home from the time we entered the property. The cottage was very spacious and had a lot of natural light coming in. The sunroom/ living room was my favorite. You felt even when you were inside, you were still connected to the outside with all the windows. Outside it had a large deck, with a covered portion, and step down you could sunbath. The lake side was amazing, having crystal clear water and paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe. If that wasn’t enough, there was an amazing sauna that also had windows that allowed you to see the kids swimming in the lake. Bridal veil falls and the cup and saucer trails are really close by, which makes this property amazing. I will definitely book this property again.

This home was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was truly an oasis. Super well stocked, with everything we needed. The home was clean and spacious and in an amazing location.

Amazing place! Could be a little more flexible with check in, we requested only a fifteen minute earlier check in and couldn’t Very pretty setting well kept property and as usual Lake Huron does not disappoint! Very responsive host Overall a beautiful place, we are thinking about visiting in the winter if the unit is available! You’ll not be disappointed with this place!!!

Ryan & Sara are AMAZING hosts! They were so helpful and Ryan responded to any questions we had within minutes! We absolutely loved their vacation home! It was clean, spacious, well-stocked, and the amenities were incredible! We used the waterfront, the sauna, the hot tub, the fire pit, and the paddle boards & kayaks! This place has it all! Best weekend ever!!

This air bnb was so amazing I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s super clean which is such a plus when staying in an air bnb. They also thought of all the little details. There was sunscreen in the bathrooms, bug spray in the living room, extra chairs, wood and kindling by the fire pit. Don’t even get me started on the location. Absolutely gorgeous. The views are amazing and the water is so nice. If you’re able to, get the loft. It’s beautiful and has another bathroom and full kitchen. If you’re thinking if you should stay here, you should. It’s worth the drive up north questions asked. Thank you for having us!

Steph and Al are wonderful hosts. They are always quick to respond and have tons of information for those new to the island. Their cottage is stunning and incredible. It’s peaceful and exactly as described and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay there. We hope to return next year!

We had a lovelytwo night stay at Carolyn's place. It was so peaceful and set in the most beautiful surroundings looking over the lake. Carolyn and Daryl were so welcoming and friendly and left us some delicious cakes that were very welcome after a long drive to get to Kilarney. They were incredibly helpful too when we had an issue with our car. Carolyn gave us some good recommendations for walks and we'd definitely recommend the 5 mile walk to The Crack. Really enjoyed our stay.

My family had a lovely relaxing couple of nights at Aneta’s cottage. The location directly on the lake is very peaceful and the cottage itself was very comfortable. Although in a very quiet and serene area, all the amenities you may require are available appropriately 10 minutes drive in Espanola which is very convenient.

It was a perfect spot with plenty of room for our guests. The cabins had a nice rustic feel and the main camp has all the cooking amenities we needed.

Our families loved our stay here. I would certainly come back to this spot.

Fantastic place. Cassandra has set up a little private paradise. She sent a super helpful welcome pack, the place was easy to find and easy to enter. The house itself was very clean and had alot of amenities to use. Beautiful views. Firepits, sauna, hot tub, kayaks & bbq! Everything you could want in a quiet get away. Very very impressive! 5/5! Id give 6/5 stars if I could. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely want to stay here again if we come back to Manitoulin

Lovely spot on the water to spend a few days near my hometown, visiting with family and friends. Enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL sunset the first night of our stay that set the mood for a relaxing and quiet few days. Super cozy bed up in the loft, kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed our coffee on the back deck overlooking the lake every morning.

Our family was here for a few days on our road trip. It’s definitely a more rustic cabin. But has amazing views and we definitely enjoyed kayaking and the beach. One thing that I didn’t realize before booking is this house is on land where other family is. We didn’t run into anyone (other than the step dad showing us around when we got there) but I feel it’s worth noting. The beach is on their property too. The house also had a lot of family photos and personal belongings. Which made it almost feel like you were staying in someone’s house. All and all, it was a good stay, just feel like these would be things that people may want to know.

We just got home from a wonderful week stay at Courtney’s place on MacGregor Bay. We can’t say enough great things about this place. Having a whole island to ourselves with a trail to hike, paddle boards to use, and all the amenities of home was exactly what we needed! The off grid living with a warm outdoor shower was a highlight…and the constant breeze off the bay will be missed! Our family of four all slept very comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were pleasantly surprised to find a blender and a salad spinner! 😉 We feel very lucky to have found this gem and hope to return again soon. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

The cottage was beautiful and has a great set up for whatever you have planned! Deck was perfect, and firepit was the best spot on the property, perfectly secluded to hang out and have a great bonfire!! just make sure you have bug spray, it is Tobermory and has alot of foliage around so make sure you are prepared! Had a phenomenal weekend would gladly go back if we're in the area again!

This was the best air bnb we have ever stayed at. The privacy and views are absolutely elite. Our toddler and dog had an even better time than us somehow and we are already plotting our return back. This is a must stay! Thank you and please keep this place up forever lol

Granary Lake Retreat is an amazing vacation spot for families with lots to do, and a easy going atmosphere. The hosts went above and beyond and the landscape is truly breathtaking. We'll be back.

We had never been to this area of Ontario before and always wanted to. Finding this location on the Bay met our requirements for cozy, rugged beautiful surroundings and some fishing. This location is a must visit if you are wanting a peaceful time away. Word of caution, if you are trying to get here on your own an electronic navigation device with charts is a must. I used my phone and the navionics app and we also had a good device on the boat so it was a breeze for us getting in and finding the island even with some misty rain on the way in. Sitting on the west side of the island looking down into west bay at the sunset with a drink was a highlight. Also catching a 20 pound pike was another highlight. Really appreciate this place meeting expectations. Plan on returning next fall for a similar adventure.
