Holiday rentals with lake access in Central Manitoulin

Christopher’s place is absolutely beautiful. Overlooking Mindemoya Lake, it’s nestled among tall trees and a serene landscape. The entire family are great hosts—very warm and helpful. Aside from the regular hosting essentials, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Greg was especially kind in teaching us how to start a fire for the fire pit, even providing some of their own firewood and fire-starting equipment. They also shared some excellent local recommendations and Sandra gifted our group a lovely children’s book written by Christopher’s wife, which was a thoughtful touch for the kids. One of the unexpected highlights was how incredible the place was at night—perfect for stargazing and astral photography. With minimal light pollution and a clear view of the sky, captured some unforgettable night shots and spent hours just watching the stars. I highly recommend their place as the first one to check if you’re planning a trip to Manitoulin Island.

This Airbnb was absolutely amazing! The space was beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was exceptionally well maintained and spotless. One of the highlights for me was the generous supply of fresh towels more than enough for a comfortable stay. The added bonus of a bidet was such a pleasant surprise and added a touch of luxury. Overall, a fantastic experience, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay.

Serenity on the lake was absolutely beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. Hillary was very quick to respond and the home and property was clean and stunning! You have all you will need there. We made some beautiful memories with our family and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to rent this place for the weekend!

We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s lakefront cottage! The view was absolutely stunning, perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, both indoors and outdoors. We especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ, cozy campfire area, and kayaking right from the shore. Inside, the entertainment options kept us just as happy, and the kitchen was a real highlight with modern appliances and even a water filter (such a thoughtful touch). This place truly has it all. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic, comfortable, and well-equipped getaway!

We loved Sam’s cottage. The location was great. We enjoyed BBQ at the waterfront. We would definitely come back.

This air bnb was so amazing I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s super clean which is such a plus when staying in an air bnb. They also thought of all the little details. There was sunscreen in the bathrooms, bug spray in the living room, extra chairs, wood and kindling by the fire pit. Don’t even get me started on the location. Absolutely gorgeous. The views are amazing and the water is so nice. If you’re able to, get the loft. It’s beautiful and has another bathroom and full kitchen. If you’re thinking if you should stay here, you should. It’s worth the drive up north questions asked. Thank you for having us!

My and I stayed 3-nights at the Mutchmor Lofts - "The Cabin" during the 2nd week of September. The premise is spotless and well-appointed. The cabin is less than a stone-throw away from a beautiful & pristine sandy beach; and because it's the shoulder season, the beach is peaceful and that's exactly what my wife and I are looking for. We were given to understand by the locals that Providence Bay has the best sandy beach for swimming in Manitoulin Island and we agree. The area has an elevated boardwalk to protect the vegetation and the sand dunes; it's well-maintained. While you are taking a leisure stroll on the boardwalk, turn left for a short distance toward a small bridge where the Mindemoya River from Lake Mindenmoya drains into the mouth of bay and, fortunate for us, because September is the salmon spawning season, we came to witness an amazing scene of salmon gathering. We enjoyed our stay at Mutchmor, and we would like to thank Matthew for being just a great host.

We were two retired couples who rented the apartment for 3 nights. Very pleased. Walk-able location in Little Current, on the main street. Great views of waterway, bridge, and sunrise from the comfortable balcony. The apartment was as shown in pictures and as described. Chris was very helpful. Instructions for parking, entrance, and use were clear. With central location and over businesses, over night noise could be an issue. Sound generators were provided in the bedrooms. Beds and linens/blankets were comfortable as were living room furnishings. Loft bedroom wasn't used, note that ceiling height is limited beyond the centre of the room, as in the pictures. Bathroom very nicely renovated, hot water and towels great. Kitchen was well equipped for utensils and pots and pans. Bring you own condiments, spices, and tea/coffee for the kettle and basket coffee maker provided. Note that access stairs are steep and internet was slow. TV not 4K and sometimes had to wait to spool the feed.

Great spot to stay to explore Manitoulin. The location is very central so it's quick to drive to the top spots. Fire pit and beach access at the location is a great perk. Nano is a very friendly and responsive host, helped us with some small issues during our stay.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a spot to stay. Alexandra and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. I would recommend her Airbnb. Thanks again Alex!

The house was amazing. Bigger than we expected. We had lots of room. The kitchen was very well equipped. We did some cooking and some bbqing. The deck was nice to sit out on. It had a very nice view of the water. The location was perfect. Close to the grocery store, the lcbo and the town. We will recommend to anyone travelling in that area. Would stay again if we get back that way👍👍

The cabin and property are beautiful, exactly as described. There was plenty of space for our family, with comfortable shared areas. My younger son loved the upstairs loft room, which was so thoughtfully decorated with kids in mind. We enjoyed lots of campfires with the provided wood, and playing football in the large private driveway. We weren't able to take advantage of the kayaks since it would not be possible to walk that far carrying kayaks (you'd need a truck or something to transport them). Oh, and we did spot a black bear walking down the path in front of the house!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was absolutely beautiful and spotless — very clean and well-maintained. The views were stunning and made the experience even more special. Everything was just as described, if not better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

The cottage was comfortable, in a good location, and included all the things we needed. We’re a family of four with a teenager and young child. Our youngest was thrilled to find a box of toys to play with, and our eldest loved the lake frontage. I found the kitchen was well-equipped, beds were comfy, and as the summer heat hadn’t yet arrived, Gencay left space heaters for the bedrooms, which kept us plenty warm. Great, relaxing stay overall. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Our families loved our stay here. I would certainly come back to this spot.

Pam's place on Miller lake is a wonderful spot to unwind for a few days or a week. The kitchen is well equipped and the barbq sits right outside on deck...and a very nice fire pit in the back of the property. Miller Lake is a nice lake and you can sit on the deck , overlook the lake and relax after your daily excursions. You are situated halfway between Tobermory and Lions Head, so close to many hiking trails and attractions at less than 30 minutes drive. The space is clean and very comfortable, this was our second year staying here and I hope to come back.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Richard's cottage near Kagawong. It is a large, open space with lots of seating, beds and amenities. The home has been beautifully renovated with lots of great art and furnishings. Although the weather wasnt great during our stay, we still enjoyed the beach, which is easily accessible. There are plenty of heating and cooling options to customize the temp in bedrooms and common spaces. Richard ensured there were plenty of supplies so it was easy to cook and stay in his beautiful home, even with young children. The cottage is about 15 minutes to Kagawong in a quiet neighbourhood. Honestly, the pictures don't do the view justice. We hope to be back soon!!

Absolutely loved our stay! Mark was a very responsive host and the place was full of amenities. We actually modified our plans to spend more time at the Airbnb because of how good it was. Appreciated the thought put into the Happy Birthday sign and complimentary firewood!
