Lake house holiday rentals in Cheat Lake

This was an entire family vacation for us. Every one of us loved this home and the location. We were blessed with great weather on our stay and were able to take advantage of tubing on the river. We only left the house once during our week stay. That’s how much we enjoyed it. The home and decor was beautiful. I am very picky on cleanliness and this home met my standards. (Hard to do). I had a few questions over the weeks that lead up to our stay and Jesse was always quick with a response. Thank you for everything!

Great way to spend a few days winding down. The lake was close to the house. Our dogs enjoyed a morning swim and a nice long walk on the trails to dry off and release some energy.

Excellent accommodations. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers, an infant and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the spacious first floor for their magna-tile and lego projects and the adults were happy at the large dining table. The outdoors were quiet, spacious and plenty of opportunities for the kids to run around. We used this location as a central point for the high peaks hike in MD and WV, an excellent location. Also visited Blackwater Falls and Seneca Rocks - amazing natural wonders. Would definitely rent again if in the area.

10/10 visit! We had an amazing weekend here and would absolutely love to come back. It was the perfect spot with much to do and lots of fun to be had both inside and outside of the house. David was also very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process.

What a treat! The lake house was so spacious, clean, and well appointed. The three floors allowed for lots of together, small group, and alone time options. Our family - three generations including teens and an octogenarian - had a great time cooking together, playing billiards, soaking in the hot tub, playing air hockey, watching movies, and seeing wildlife. Our hosts had great recommendations for restaurants and boat rentals. Wonderful memories were made, and we highly recommend! Thanks for your gracious hospitality, Idalia and Dennys.

Beautiful setting. Spacious home. We were short a sheet and comforter, Nicole responded and was at the house in under 10 minutes.

Had a wonderful time. Enjoyed reading about the family history of the home, loved the decks, chairs by the fire pit, hanging out on the dock, fishing and watching the ducks, chipmunks and deer. Enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. My 95 year old dad came with us and the home was very accessible and he didn’t have any problems navigating the terrain with an escort. Hope we can come back again!

We had a great visit. Found some very nice places to eat in Confluence. Liked how we were close enough to Ohiopyle State Park and Fallingwater, and at the same time away from the crowds. Miriam was a great and very responsive host.

Cozy and clean stay with a good layout for our group of 5. Loved the lakefront location, deck with the hot tub, and proximity to boating and amenities in town!

We rent a lot of homes, but this one is probably the best we ever stayed in - modern, stylish, squeaky clean. This house has amazing views, private dock, plenty of space and has everything you can possibly need for a great vacation - kayaks, paddle board, hot tub, grill and easy access to hiking trails and water falls. The house is very well taken care of. We loved our stay!

This was a fantastic experience and stay for our families. We had four small children under six and they absolutely loved all the amenities. The outdoor projector was easy to use and we had great instructions on how to set it up. The slide going from the deck down to the first level was extremely popular, and the fire pit and hot tub were very nice in the evenings. I was really happy about how clean the place was. The kitchen was also very well stocked - i’ve stayed at other Airbnbs that did not have cooking basics, but this cabin had everything that we needed to cook and prep, and also clean up. The location was great as well. We were able to easily drive to popular hiking spots and hit restaurants and grocery stores that were close by. We will definitely stay here again! We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful mountain-top house! The breathtaking views of the lush green valley and serene lake create a perfect nature retreat. The house is well-maintained, fully furnished, and equipped with all essentials, offering a very comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the close interaction with wildlife — we spotted deer, wild turkeys, and a variety of beautiful bird species right from the property, which made the experience even more special. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were fantastic for relaxing evenings. The host (Grace) was super nice and very responsive to all our queries. Highly recommended, especially before the peak summer heat, as the house currently doesn't have air-conditioning. Adding AC would make this place absolutely perfect, but even without it, it’s a gem. We’d love to visit again!

Our stay here was exactly what we needed for a group in town for a car show we sponsor. It hosted our team perfectly and was just what we required. Would rent again!

Great location - walking distance from Wisp for skiing and tubing (though not easy with gear) and a short drive to the grocery store. This was our second stay at this property and we love how family friendly it is - the kids love the game room and climbing wall and it’s a good setup for multiple families.

Very nice private lot, beautiful house, 4 bedroom 4 bath was perfect for our work related trip. Highly recommend if you need the space and are in the area.

Great response time. we had a few issues, host was quick to remedy. we enjoyed our stay. would stay again. there is a pool and food at the lodge I would highly recommend. when you arrive there is a security gate at the end of the community, you have to check in with them. they give you your pass and make sure you are supposed to be there. the guard also told us you can get access to go to the lodge or amenities without being a guest staying overnight.

We enjoyed our stay at Alison's place. Lovely location and great spot! Alison was super responsive and quick to answer questions even around the holidays. We would definitely stay again!

We had such a great time! Everything was clean and easy to use. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the view of the lake from the backyard and its surroundings.

We’ve been at rentals all over the country, and Rick was one of the best hosts. His place is wonderful and so well stocked. So nice to be able to have our own dock on the lake. Our entire family stayed here for Father’s Day weekend and would love to come back!
