Set in a 'village de charme' on the Loire River, (8km from Saumur & 7km to Gennes) La Maison Blanche is a 18th century house which we have lovingly restored. This 2 bed, 1 bath property has all mod cons whilst taking you back to a simpler time. Relax, breathe, take a walk along the river, cycle to a wine tasting. Bicycles can be safety stored in the entrance. The property has a solid oak spiral staircase. Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets.

The "Kingfisher" is the perfect place from which to discover the beauty of the Loire Valley. The Loire flows directly by the foot of this two hundred year old house, which is located in the picturesque village of Chênehutte. After a peaceful night’s rest you can go for a bike ride in the countryside, along the Loire, in the forest or simply rest under a parasol while listening to the river and observing its beautiful flora and fauna. Perhaps, if you are lucky, you might even see a kingfisher!

The pavilion, independent of my house, overlooks the Loire. It's great for a couple's getaway. It is ideal as a base for exploring the roads and paths of the Loire, to visit the countless known castles or lesser-known residences that line it. You will never forget the sunrises over the Loire in the early morning in one of the most beautiful villages of the wild Loire (halfway between Angers and Saumur).
