We equipped the unit with a 50" flat screen TV, full cable package, bose sound bar/Bluetooth speaker, high speed internet, walk in shower with dual shower heads and a bench seat, full kitchen with gas stove, bedroom with a queen size bed, living room with a pull out sofa, fenced private patio area with fire pit, off street parking 30 ft from the door, and everything you need for a nice quiet night and or weekend getaway. This cottage was completely remodeled in 2020. It sits on the back of our property and backs up to an orchard. The property is over an acre. It is quiet and peaceful. You will find fruit trees, grapes, a garden and chickens. The chickens roam the property during the day. You may hear a rooster in the AM. There is a covered patio and fire pit to enjoy the evenings in Chico. If you like to cook outdoors there is a gas BBQ & pellet grill/smoker. It is 1.8 miles from Chico State and Downtown.

You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located home in Chico. It is located just three blocks from the entrance to Bidwell Park for morning walks, or about 1/2 mile to the quaint downtown Chico area! My family and I had a great time at Shawn’s place. The pool table was a hit and the rooms were cozy and the whole place was clutter free. We enjoyed the tv and the board games that were available. It was a short stay, but we would definitely come back :)

We were very pleased with this Home. We came down for a high school graduation of our granddaughter with a lot of family. The house suited us very well. Everyone had their privacy, but we had great entertainment area as well. We were very pleased if the occasion arises again where we need such a large place we will visit right here

Joshua's Bungalo was perfect for my family of four and dog. The backyard was our favorite part. Our kids loved the swing and playing soccer in the yard and swimming in the pool. The plants and decor were beautiful, felt like we were in a very special garden. The kids loved checking on the chickens. The house was central to everything in town, it was the perfect location. The house had everything we needed and more. The kids bunk beds and playroom were so fun for the kids. We all had plenty of space and then some! Would love to stay here again someday! I'm a Chico native and wanted to show my kids Chico and see friends and family and this was the perfect house for that!

What a wonderful place to stay for our wedding celebration! Plenty of amenities in such a beautiful location. This home hosted a lovely family weekend for us. It was down the road from my parent’s house which was very convenient. Coming home to Chico was made relaxing, comfortable, and safe for me and my guests. Easy to clean up and do laundry before we left back to the coast! The hosts were very welcoming and responsive when we had questions. This is a five star home for anyone who wants to relax with multiple guests. The dog friendly option is a huge plus. The backyard and pool area is stunning! With close off access to indoor and swimming area really was top tier. If you’re looking for an amazing get away to Chico, that’s close to lower Bidwell park? This is the perfect place! Would absolutely recommend renting this beautiful place for a weekend getaway.

Tucked away behind lush greenery, this oasis felt like a peaceful retreat. There was plenty of space both inside and out—the backyard especially was perfect for relaxing or letting the kids run around. The home was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was easy to get to, and the host went above and beyond—very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet, well-kept place to stay!
