one of the best and most peaceful places we have ever stayed! lovely location, beautiful garden, privacy and a great hotub! kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice dinner and the lodge itself is beautiful. we had a great time and even with some heavy rain it was great. don't expect to be connected to the outside world as phone and Internet is almost non-existent, but that is what is so relaxing about this place! This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We felt right at home. The property was warm and welcoming and very well equipped. We brought some extra things with us for cooking but there was no need as everything was already there. We loved the property's beach/sea theme and the welcome tray was a lovely surprise after our long journey. We would definitely recommend a visit!

I dont think the photos do it justice with how nice this place was! There were so many finishing touches that made it feel like a spa retreat more than just a place to stay. The instructions on getting there were spot on and the host was so friendly and welcoming. We could have happily stayed for a month, shame we only had a weekend free 😊

Our stay at the cabin was nothing short of amazing. The space was cozy, clean, and had a lot of attractions—perfect for a peaceful getaway. Simply stunning couple of nights away. The location is beautifully quiet in the woods. The only note is that it is next door to a holiday home so there can be some noise in the evenings which we experienced, but it didn’t matter one bit to us. Cosy living space and a nice comfy bed with a lovely en suite bathroom. The Chicken House is the best air b n b we have stayed in and we will absolutely be back to use the hot tub as we are gutted we didn’t get the chance to use it this time as we were too busy :) Thank you again for a lovely stay!

We had a great stay at the Bothy - 2 adults and small dog. Lovely spot. Quiet and peaceful. Birdwatching from the hut - daily visits from a kestrel and buzzard overhead and too many varieties to list in the hedges and the wild meadow in front. Take binoculars! Easy access to walks along the Otter and Sid. Didn’t make use of the fire or the outside bath!

We had a really relaxing stay at the cabin, it was just so peaceful, set just outside the village with some good walks. The cabin had everything we needed and more, and although the weather wasn't great for us, it was still relaxing to sit out on the porch. The Garden was totally secure for our dog, who had a great time exploring...it was also good to arrive somewhere with a dog and not have a list of dog behaviour rules!! We absolutely loved our last minute stay at Riverside Lodge. Carey was an incredibly responsive host full of information and recommendations that helped us greatly with our stay! It was smooth from check-in to check-out, beautifully peaceful, well kept and homely. We had everything we needed for our short stay and with Carey’s instructions we had no issues finding the property at all. Lovely local walks, beautiful scenic surroundings, local food is fantastic (great recommendations from the host and a helpful welcome pack with places listed!) and the sound of the river the next to the property is so peaceful. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

We've just had a wonderful stay at the bungalow, which is set in a beautiful, quiet location with a private garden behind the owners house. The bungalow is well equipped with everything you need and Louise and Ian are excellent, responsive hosts (thanks for the scones). Beer and Seaton are both within easy walking distance, about 15 mins, on the coastal path. We did a great walk from the door passing through Beer to Branscombe, which has a fantastic pub called the Mason's Arms, and a working mill and a forge. All worth a visit. We then walked back along the cliff which offers some amazing views. The walk was about 10 miles in total with some steps and steep climbs, so you will need to be reasonably fit. We also visited Lyme Regis and Charmouth which is a brilliant location for fossil hunting. It really is a beautiful area which is well worth a visit.

Great getaway here! Easy to book, new amenities, smart new decor, great shower, fully functioning oven, job and microwave. Good directions to get to the place and easy self check in. (Just note there is no wifi and bring a spare toilet roll as we used our 1 roll up pretty quickly).

We had a lovely relaxing stay based at Amy’s cabin. Her cabin was a great base to explore the Jurassic coast and also to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Amy was a great host and made us feel very welcome, my daughter also loved playing with her children when we arrived back to the cabin for the evening. Added bonus points for the very friendly pony and chickens. Would recommend this stay for anyone wanting to explore the area.

The accommodation was amazing! A very welcome sight after a long walk. Very comfortable, very peaceful, everything we needed. We spent some time in the morning soaking up the the sun and the view and chatting to the people strolling by. Nell and Sam could not have been more helpful, very quick communication and very flexible with our last minute luggage transfers - highly recommended

We had a lovely family stay at le shack and Danny was a great host and really responsive to messages and questions The accommodation was really clean , well equipped and comfortable. The surrounding areas were beautiful and Cawsands and Kingsands were lovely for sea swimming Would definitely go again! Thank you 😀

A lovely cabin in a beautiful part of the country on the edge of Dartmoor. Clare is a great host very friendly & full of information. The view from the veranda is stunning & the beds are super comfy😁

Wow! What a place! It sounds a cliche but we will definitely be visiting again! Next time for more than one evening. We’re already looking through the diary for the next available weekend. It was everything we expected and more. We stayed as it was as close to an event we were attending that evening. Upon arrival we were worried about getting a taxi to an event as uber didn’t work well in the area. Jill (the host) kindly asked what time we needed to be there and what time we needed to be collected and she organised it all. She really went above and beyond what was expected and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more

An amazing secluded and quiet getaway, hosts were really amazing even amidst a power outage they communicated well and had the power back on the same day, and came round to check all was okay! Incredible, friendly and responsive hosts! Lovely cabin, great scenery and so peaceful and quiet! An absolute dream getaway! Also the bbq/breakfast bundle was superb! Tastiest meals that we had, well worth the money! Definitely recommend getting that, if you’re looking to stay! We were sad to leave, such a beautiful and magical place!

Was on a course at St Luke’s Campus for a few days and this was the perfect accommodation for the job - sparkling clean, big comfy bed, lovely smell, plenty of space and really well equipped in a private ‘hideaway’ at the end of the garden - bathroom and sink / cooking area are outside but don’t let that put you off! It’s beautifully done and super clean and comfy to use and undercover. So nice to be surrounded by plants and trees, free tea/coffee and breakfast bits. Just 5 mins walk from campus and free parking sorted over the road via residents permit. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, thank you! :-)

A truly beautiful, special place! Everything was exactly as described. The accommodation is not only tasteful, it also has absolutely everything you need. Good, easy communication with Roxy. We miss the beautiful view! A little gem on the cliff! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

What a great find! The Log Cabin was a perfect base for the pair of us exploring Devon. After busy days on the coast or in Dartmoor, it was great to BBQ in the big garden, watching evening fall and the swallows dart about. It’s compact but doesn’t feel like that owing to Belinda’s clever use of space and décor. The pictures are accurate. Whatever space you’re in feels spacious and even sumptuous. I could be in the kitchen happily doing my thing while my partner lounged in the pleasant living room. Belinda is a great host, very helpful, coming to our rescue several times. We look forward to returning.

I had a lovely peaceful time at the cabin recharging in the middle of a long 10 week trip! I particularly loved how it was in easy walking distance to the high street. the chickens were also a delight! :)
