Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cliftonville

Five stars is my review.

We have spent half term at Lisa’s place, the house is very spacious, located in quiet residential area, about 10 minutes walk from the train station and 25-30 from the town centre which was exactly what we wanted. Lovely large property for our group of 9, we love the gym and hot tub plus a basket of goodies on arrival was an unexpected touch. We had a great stay and was so lucky with the weather too, did lots of small trips with kids so train station nearly was very handy. Would definitely recommend it.

Had a two night stay in 'The Dairy'. Lovely place. Clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Great views from the hot tub (enjoyed watching the local horses rolling in the morning!) Straight forward check in with no problems. Only suggestion would be a hook or two in the bathroom - there wasnt much space for toothbrushes/wash bag for 4 people. But really cant fault it. Would recommend. Thanks.

Excellent family home in a quiet village near Dover. A great place to explore and good homebase for exploration. Claire's place was just as advertised and worked out very well for my family. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

Angela met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was great, very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fab,our grandchildren absolutely loved it! Howletts wildlife park was less than five minute drive away. The location was peaceful. Our grandchildren loved feeding the goats and chickens in the morning and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit in the evening. Would absolutely recommend this place. Such a beautiful property, surrounded by peaceful countryside and at the end of a country road so there was no passing traffic. A quintessential English period property, beautifully and tastefully decorated with everything that you need for a wonderful stay. Lisa was delightful, excellent communication and warm with her welcome. The beds were comfortable and everywhere clean and tidy. The barn also lovely and our extended family enjoyed staying there. The garden truly beautiful and in May after a warm start to the year so many flowers were in bloom, roses and wisteria around the front door and lilac along the pathway. Excellent seating on the terrace ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks, we just wish our time there was less frantic, would love to return and slow down to enjoy this perfect rental. just returned from a lovely weekend with the girls at Bramble Lodge, this is the second time that we have stayed, previously we stayed in oak lodge. both are lovely, clean and relaxing in a great location, there is a bus stop 10 mins along the road to catch a bus into Canterbury. Angela is the perfect host who met us on arrival and let us know to contact her if we needed anything, we were made to feel very welcome. Amazing value for money and the hot tub is lovely, we will most certainly return.

The accommodation was really nice Stairs very steep Be careful if you have a dog One of the neighbours dogs attacked our dog very aggressively and the owner was too Terrified to take the dog out on the green at the front This happened on our first night and really impacted our stay

James' cottage is absolutely fabulous. Looks just as good as the photos. The garden is stunning. We loved it because it was extremely clean, very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Great for dogs also as the garden is enclosed. Although please note you do share the garden with the neighbouring cottage that James rents out. That worked fine for us. We loved the location. Great walks and the local pub was lovely. Bus or short drive to Canterbury. Recommend and would visit again. No hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at Katy and Bryan’s cottage—truly one of the best Airbnbs we’ve experienced! From great communication at booking to a warm, friendly welcome, everything was perfect. Thoughtful touches like fresh bread and jam, and a bunch of sweet peas made the cottage feel like home. It was spotless, full of charming country details. We especially appreciated 100% cotton sheets and feather cushions. We loved relaxing on the porch, listening to birds, while our dogs enjoyed the garden. Bryan and Katy gave us great walk and beach suggestions and recommended the Wye farmers market—we loved it and brought home lots of goodies! Bryan even shared his kefir grains with us, so we can make our own kefir. We also had a fantastic lunch at the New Flying Horse pub, highly recommended! Thank you again, Katy and Bryan. We hope to return soon!

beautiful house perfect for our multi generational holiday! pottys and baby baths for any little ones provided as well as a fully stocked playroom (which kept my nearly 4 year old entertained all week). kitchen was very well stocked with any and every utensil you can think of. The location was perfect for the whole family, beautiful beaches a 2 minute walk away, amusements and restaurants with incredible food round every corner. we loved every minute of our stay here and cannot wait to return!

Such a lovely apartment in a great location. Janey was a brilliant host, very friendly, flexible and responsible. All in all totally faultless.

Lovely house, very comfortable and spacious for 9 of us (6 adults and 3 children). Bedrooms were all well sized and and great downstairs communal area with 2 large sitting rooms and well equipped kitchen/ diner. We also made use of the bbq in the relaxing outdoor space. Only a short walk to Ramsgate harbour, less than 10 mins to seafront. We also enjoyed exploring nearby Margate & Broadstairs. Would highly recommend this property!

This is a lovely home in Broadstairs. It was the perfect fit for our family and dog. Our young girls loved playing in the back deck area. We were able to try several restaurants. Access to the beach was so close and easy - much needed with little kids!

We had a fabulous stay at Laurence's - 5 star, everything was lush. As a host, Laurence was excellent and very responsive and flexible. Highly recommended stay!

We really enjoyed our stay Accommodation is really cute and cozy Will definitely like to come again! Kids loved the freedom of the location And pool was great and all very easy to get around.

We had a great stay for a long weekend with the family. The place was very roomy and had plenty of space for us all. Neil was very accomodating to last minute changes.

Amazing location. Lots to do if you do a bit of research. Very tidy and well set up cabin. Had a great time with the kids, can't go wrong staying here if you're a family.

Really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a weekend by the sea. We enjoyed cycling at the country park, playing crazy golf, bbq’s, and a lovely swim in the pool. We were very impressed by the care taken to make the chalet into a welcoming and relaxing space. The holiday park setting was superb, with a community feel and the kids’ highlight was being able to join group games of football. We hope to visit again. Thank you so much Dinah!

We had a great stay here. Perfect for the group of 11 we had. Plenty of space very clean and tidy as just as stunning as the photos

Positive: 30 min from the shuttle. 5 min walk to the beach and pub. 4.5 km from the center of deal. Quiet with pool and tennis activity possible. Ultra comfortable bedding. Negative: a broom and a mop were missing. The bathroom would need minor repairs (leaking faucet). I have known the place for 30 years and regularly return with pleasure.

Simple, easy and cosy caravan with all the conveniences. Normally I’m Not fussed about WiFi but I had to work whilst I was there and having WiFi in the van was a useful touch. The place was clean and tidy and got warm quickly, perfect for a little autumn getaway.

We were very impressed on arrival. Lovely peaceful grounds, pool bigger than we’d expected and great games area. Good place to stay with our extended family, good central location, really enjoyed nearby Canterbury. We were lucky with the weather. We visited Howletts zoo & 2 different sea-sides. The house is quite warm, it’s great fans are provided in all bedrooms. Improvements- Need better extraction for the kitchen- & update the book on what to do if the smoke alarm goes off! The agency were quick to help but with poor phone signal this was tricky to arrange. Bigger beds/ new mattresses Downstairs loo had no toilet lid Other reviews mentioned cobwebs & the place seeming a bit ‘tired’, I’d agree with some of that but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time & a few cobwebs don’t bother me, everything else was clean and we’d love to return .
