Treehouse holiday rentals in Connecticut River

What a wonderful, peaceful oasis! The treehouse at the Shire is just incredible! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The grounds and property are just stunning. There are also trails and a trail map to adventure on the property. They also have a very sweet pup, Bo, who became best friends with my dogs (after a friendly introduction and me asking if he was free to play). I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Great location to hike and have a peaceful respite, but close to restaurants too! Also, LGBTQ+ friendly!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Polly's. The location is perfect for accessing the mountain and shops in town. The house is also nicely separated from the road so you get a bit of nature.

What a memorable stay! Everything was so special. Every detail was taken care of from the iced tea on arrival to the fresh coffee and yummy breakfast in the morning. The treehouse was incredibly unique and beautiful and it felt like a fairytale! The sky lodge at the top of the hike is so fun and there are incredible views. Willie and Greg were gracious and welcoming. I only wish we stayed longer!

This stay was everything we wanted- relaxing, calm and a beautiful property. We did hikes near by and activities in the town. We really enjoyed exploring! I would love to come back!

Our family had a wonderful time swimming, boating, fishing, hiking the trails, canoeing and sitting by the nightly campfire. Whenever we had needs, Michelle answered promptly and graciously. Lee was a huge help, as well. FANTASTIC hosts!!!!

A very sweet couple of days away at Ian’s cabin. Hosts were extremely friendly and the experience was exactly at expected.

I sort of selfishly don't want to write this because I feel I found a secret gem in this place but they deserve your business so: FABULOUS in every way! Sheila and her crew are pro-level. I felt totally comfortable from the moment I booked until the moment I left. It is a magical space and they are lovely, lovely people. They were available, helpful and friendly but also gave us our space. It was a COLD, rainy May weekend but so unbelievable cozy and we still effortlessly had the best time. I am having trouble imagining a season that would not be perfect here. Would go back, 100%.

Can’t speak highly enough of Joe’s place. Easily the most peaceful slice of island life, with an incredibly gracious host and flexible to what we need. Highlight of our year, every year.

Superb treehouse, perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 children (9 & 6 years old). Peaceful surroundings, perfect for relaxation and family time! The treehouse is squeaky clean and has almost everything we needed. Jennifer is very responsive to our questions, clear check in instructions. Overall an enjoyable and unforgettable experience for us!

An amazing treehouse, just right for two people and more room than I expected. Beautiful surroundings, and not far from Keene and Lake Placid. It was great to simply watch the trees from the windows or sitting on the balcony, made the journey up the steps well worth it! Comfy bed, good facilities. We had a lovely meal at Forty Six in Keene, would recommend it if you get the chance.

This was an amazing retreat for our anniversary. We were hiking some nearby mountains and this was the perfect place to come back and relax afterwards. It was so peaceful and the amenities were wonderful. Tina was very responsive and we had no issues with the whole experience. Would definitely come back!

Although the road leading up to the rental is somewhat uninviting, upon arrival at Jason's treehouse nestled among the trees, it proves to be a distinctive space that is undeniably charming and affords a strong sense of seclusion! The property's uniqueness was precisely what we sought along our road trip, and Jason provided us with excellent local recommendations, which proved extremely helpful. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Jim is a gem of a human - curious, intentional + generous. The treehouse was fun and we had everything we needed. The island offered us a place to truly relax and forget the drama of our day to day life. Jim's canoe suggestions were incredible .. make sure to check out the waterfall and paddle over to Kiwassa Lake and post up on the shoreline to swim and soak up all the beauty. We can't wait to go back!!

My wife and I stayed here for our mini-moon. It was a super romantic and peaceful getaway. Would make a great space for four to stay as well, plenty of space while still being cozy. Highly recommend!

A dream come true! An incredible escape from reality where you are surrounded by the true peace of nature and all of the beauty that it brings. The treehouse was exactly as advertised - gorgeous construction, beautiful layout, incredibly comfortable bed, and most importantly - our four legged child was welcome! Our host was very communicative throughout the booking process, answered all of our questions, provided recommendations, and was flexible with check in/out time. We loved our trip to the treehouse so much, we are already planning our next trip to what we hope will become our new home away from home. 10/10 recommendation!

My friend and I had such an amazing time here. We used all the amenities including the grill, fire pit, hot tub, and record player. The house is beautifully designed and was truly relaxing. Also the hosts were incredibly responsive and checked in with us. I highly recommend the tree house.

We had an amazing stay here. The house is tucked away and has plenty of privacy, and the river is the focal point of the stay. We enjoyed using the yoga barn for yoga and meditation throughout stay and loved to read the amazing messages from previous guests. The house has great vibes! The property is updated and clean, the house was clean upon check in, and the owner was responsive when we had some initial questions! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway

My fiance and I had such a wonderful stay! The view was so stunning and there was so much to do. I’ve honestly never slept better in my life— the rain pitter-pattered against the open windows at night and it was so peaceful. Susan is so kind and answered any question I had. I hope to visit again some time soon!!

I can’t say enough good things about the host Michael and the property. Michael was on point always and his property is magical. We enjoyed exploring the paths all around this beautiful place. It’s such a peaceful vibe. Michael (and his wife) take such pride in hosting guests and tending their grounds, it’s evident everywhere you look. We will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend. Oh and dont forget the goat and sheep that greeted us when we arrived. Elliott the puppy as well. This place definitely makes your heart happy!!!!!

Amazing gem of a place, perfect for a peaceful getaway to immerse in nature. The architectural details and interior design are inspiring. It’s the perfect place to recharge. The hosts are always so responsive, kind, and communicative. Definitely I will be back to stay again!

loved getting to stay in the treehouse. if you're up in Woodstock solo or as a couple, perfect accommodation! be prepared for the walk to the bathroom, but that's treehouse living for you. if you know what you're getting into, it's a fun little adventure!

The Rock House was absolutely beautiful and just what we needed! perfect peafuk location with great amenities. Sandy and Lou were super nice and helpful hosts and we definitely look forward to the next time we can come back to this little get away! kind of jealous of their little slice of heaven up north :)
