Absolutely wonderful stay – even better than the pictures! The place is exactly as shown in the photos – beautifully maintained and spotless. While the drive can be a bit tricky due to limited mobile network along the way, the destination is absolutely worth it. K&K have done an exceptional job keeping the property spick and span. We truly enjoyed every moment, and our family spent half the time just admiring how well the house was maintained. Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of, with clear instructions throughout the home. The beach is just a short 5-minute drive away, and the patio offers calm, scenic views – perfect for watching the sunset with a cup of coffee, either from outside or even from the dining table. The welcome gifts were a thoughtful and lovely touch – bonus points for that! We’ll definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back again.

We had a great stay at this property. The home itself was very clean and the host was extremely responsive, which we really appreciated. The backyard was beautiful and peaceful—it was a lovely space to unwind. Having a spot to park in the driveway was also a big plus. While we didn’t feel entirely comfortable in the town, we felt very safe and at ease inside the home. It was a space where we could relax and breathe. One small note is that the water filter hadn’t been changed, which made us a bit hesitant about using the water, but otherwise everything inside was well cared for. Overall, this was a solid and comfortable stay, and we would definitely rent here again.

This has been one of the most thoughtful, beautifully landscaped and furnished places I’ve stayed over the years! I highly recommend staying at this gem! The yard is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The town itself doesn’t have a lot going on, and no late night hangs…however if you’re going for a stop over, a beautiful retreat, or just a place to call home base for adventuring around Humboldt county, this is the spot!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Maureen’s place. Maureen was incredibly welcoming! She seemed genuinely happy to have us there and excited to share her farm with us. She is an Airbnb host who truly enjoys the hosting for more than just the financial reasons. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home, which we did. The area itself is very remote. I suggest using an AWD vehicle to get there. We spent two nights there and went back and forth to the avenue of the giants and it was about an hour’s drive to get there and the roads aren’t great in that area. Maureen’s farm is rustic and beautiful. The creek at the property is beautiful. The horses were fun to pet as well as some of the other animals. It’s so quiet and peaceful and feels like you’ve stepped back in time. The night sky and stars were a beautiful sight to behold. The apartment we stayed at was comfortable and cozy. Overall, highly recommend staying here! We would definitely love to visit again.

Came up here for a few days for a father/daughter outdoors adventure. I stayed in the lovely tiny house and she in the newly finished Airstream. Big hit! She absolutely loved having her own cute little space. Rustic, yet well appointed with everything we needed. The beds are super comfortable, the property beautiful and very quiet - I slept like a log! Penelope is a charming host, and as a long time resident has lots of great information on the area’s attractions. The location is perfect. We had a great time exploring swim holes and redwood forests - you can even get to the gorgeous Mendocino coast fairly easily from here. Highly recommended!
