With beautiful beaches just 40 minutes away and walking trails on the doorstep, this is the perfect bolt-hole to escape and re-charge. Breathtaking views of Curran mountains.There is a small town called Achill Sound approx 4km away,where there is shops, cafe, supermarkets, 2 pubs, 2 hotels and bike hire. There are other great places to eat approx 12-15km away. Our Cottage is close to the greenway where you can walk or cycle. There is fantastic views along the Atlantic drive from. Clough more to Dooega, where you can see the Atlantic ocean for miles.

Adorable cabin in the countryside

Bluebird Cottage is A quiet little haven 8km from beautiful Westport town. Its Off the beaten track a little, if you like that sort of thing and the only sounds will be mother nature's animals and birds calling out to each other. It's only a 10min drive to Westport, 15 mins to Castlebar with an abundance of activates / shopping / dining and fun on the doorstep. Achill, Connemara and Galway are all within an hours drive, so we are very centrally located in the West.

Cuckoo Wood Hexagon, 5km from Westport

This cabin has a hexagon shape with a square porch where the front door is. The Hexagon, as I call it, is situated on its own on land that is half orchard half woodland. On the morning sun side, where the door is, the decking leads to the little purpose built bathroom building. There is a perspex canopy so you can walk over staying dry even if it is raining. A few goats and a few hens roam in the adjoining field.

Cosy cottage located along the Wild Atlantic Way

Located just a 5 min walk from Portacloy beach there's also a local shop a 5 min drive or 30 min walk in a nearby village. Also two pubs in the area one in Rossport and the other in Stonefield. There's a restaurant open during the week called Teach Grainne which is also a take away during the weekend. Nearest town of Belmullet is a 30 min drive.
