Holiday rentals with a kayak in Cumberland River

Amazing stay! The power went out due to storms in the area, but that didn’t stop us from busting out candles and having a game night. Super cozy and beautiful home even in bad weather! 10/10 Will stay here again

We loved This house! It was the perfect spot on the lake, and the covered boat dock was great! It even had a swing to sit and relax in while the kids enjoyed kayaking and trying to paddle board which gave us lots of laughs 😊 The host supplied the home with so many complimentary items if you forget anything no worries she has it available for you, such a nice change from most of the homes we rent while on vacation! The driveway is perfect especially if pulling a boat or even if you want to take daily walks as I did. The beds are always a big deal for us as we want clean and comfortable and this house had both, they was so comfortable and clean and fresh!! You can truly tell that the host cares about her renters and making their stay amazing!! I could go on and on about this home but unfortunately there is not enough room for me to type all that i need to ..lol...Thank you again Debbie for allowing us to stay in your home, as we truly loved your place and had a wonderful time!

This place is great if you want to get away from a big city hustle. You see more deer than you do cars when driving to the house. The house has everything you need (just bring food and toiletries and clothes)

Great place to stay, on the water, boat dock, close to stores and restaurants, host made us feel at home and checked in quite often to make sure our stay was going good. This house has everything you could need.

Deep Roots is by far the BEST AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It's remote location was just perfect to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings after a busy day in the big city of Nashville. It is in an absolutely gorgeous location with hiking trail within a half mile of the house. Alicia is a great host and even left my son a graduation happy because she knew we were there for his Senior Trip! The fresh eggs she left for us were also very thoughtful. There are just little thoughtful touches all over the place. Fresh flowers, so many board games, a set of horseshoes outside, hiking sticks, ingredients to make Smores. There was not a single thing we could have wanted that was not readily available if we needed it. The house was immaculate and so very comfortable. We felt right at home the entire time we were there. The only thing that could pose an issue for some is the WiFi is very sketchy and slow. Not an issue for us, but if you are wanting to work, it could be a problem.

If you’re looking for a spacious lake home that’s perfect for large families and packed with amenities, this is the place to book. From the private dock and boat landing to the kayaks, bonfire pit, and hot tub, you can truly enjoy the lake in comfort and style. The hosts were responsive and accommodating, and we had a great time during our stay. Highly recommend—thank you!

New favorite place for vacation/getaway! We plan to return in different seasons. It's fantastic. Ron & Kathy are the nicest people & fun! They are the kind you would be friends with if you lived nearby. The cottage is exactly what we needed & is well stocked. Was very comfortable, clean, & a good design. There are several seating areas at different levels, inside & out and right by beach (this property is on a hillside). There are steps, like the description states, to get down to the cottage, but it wasn't too bad as those steps weren't steep (I have arthritis and fms). There's a small fire-ring and chairs near the door there so a person with less mobility could probably enjoy that side of the grounds. The other side has a lot of steps and getting down to the beach is "moderately" difficult, but most folks probably wouldn't have an issue. We collected driftwood, had bonfire, smores, used gas grill, enjoyed the water & birdwatching (eagle right there!) enjoyed the peace & quiet.

Great place to stay. The cottages had everything we needed and was clean. We will definitely stay again. The host are very responsive and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were delicious!

Great place, very peaceful and easy to just relax. Very close to bait shops, grocery stores, and marinas, and a short trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where there are tons of things to do! Added bonus…Buc-ees is not far either :)

This was our first experience staying at an Airbnb and we have nothing but great things to say. The house was clean and inviting, and the amenities were more than adequate. We slept really well on the bed and there was plenty of space to hang our clothes in the walk in closet. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items, plates, glasses, even wine glasses. The information center on the counter had informative guides. We can't say enough about the view from the upstairs living room and from both patios. We wanted to stay longer! We love Tennessee and hope to be back to the Cozy Cottage soon! Joe and Cindy Taylor

Our stay at The CliffTop Cottage was very enjoyable. It is very clean, well furnished and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. The surrounding area is beautiful and it was very peaceful. We plan to stay there again when we are in the area.

This cozy, beautiful spot is a treasure! Kim was very attentive to details in creating a space that is welcoming and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped, decor blends modern and mountain cottage. Plenty to entertain at the house or nearby. The description helped us know how to best plan our visit to the area and there were great tips and maps at the house too. Beautiful scenery and a great place to enjoy birds, fall foliage, hiking and much more. So thankful for a great getaway!

Our stay was a week at the end of May 2025. The Cicadas were loud and active. The heavy rains and high lake levels caused logs and debris to basically block our dock so we couldn’t use the provided kayaks or paddle boards… just Mother Nature. We did enjoy a couple of bonfires in the evenings with plenty of firewood provided. S’mores were also supplied along with forks. There were a lot of sitting areas on the porch and decks and yard. The cottage was clean with a spacious living room and kitchen, lovely decorated with plenty of dishes and linens supplied. There is a dollar store and an ice-cream store 10 minutes away. All in all our family enjoyed this cottage.

This was our fourth year staying at this place and we’ll be back again next year. Great cove with a dock.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. The place was clean and felt like home. The backyard area with the fire pit was perfect and the ability to purchase the whiskey barrel staves directly from him made it incredibly easy.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, it was really clean and very accommodating. Joshua was very attentive and quick to respond to any question I had. The neighbors were very friendly as well. This was the perfect relaxing getaway with a lot to do. Without a doubt I would recommend this cabin to anybody. We will definitely stay again.

I just happened upon this place looking at possibilities in the area, and I'm so glad I did. Honestly, I had booked another place and stayed 1 night and decided we were gonna look for something else. The greatest selling point of this place is when you walk into the front door and turn to your right and you see the view looking out across the lake, it's almost breathtaking, no joke. My daughter said it's the most beautiful place we've ever stayed in. I loved the pool table, the old Pac-man and Galaga console, the flat screen tvs all around, the hot tub around the back side. I wish we could have stayed longer. Denis was very helpful. I needed to extend our stay another day and he helped me get it figured out. My mistake was something I had to fix quickly, and Denis responded right away. He also gave some clear instructions to me about front door code, wi-fi password, and instructions on check-in and check-out. We had a great time and we plan to go back for a longer stay. This home is meticulously maintained in a beautiful setting, with consideration given for every guest's comfort and relaxation. Most importantly, the hosts were extremely and communicative, responding instantly to any questions. We couldn't have imagined a better experience and wholeheartedly recommend the home and hosts.

The inside was super cute and the backyard felt very secluded from neighbors. We had lots of fun swimming and using the kayaks and paddle boards! We had a great time and Bethany was super responsive about any questions we had!

Orchard Mountain view is a great option for a mid-size crew looking to explore the local area in and around Ride Royal, Tackett creek. Home is thought out well and appropriately equipped. Great views from the rear deck of home. Would be phenomenal during the fall months. Was very comfortable four our party of six. Would definitely consider it again if we return to this area to ride. Driveway was able to handle our equipment trailer with some creative driving. I would like to see a regular propane grill instead of a blackstone but that is just my preference to BBQ. Did have visits a couple nights from local wildlife so it is necessary to appropriately store trash. I think a steel trash encloser would be a nice addition. Would just have to be creative as how to make it blend into the beautiful surroundings.

This was my first time in Gatlinburg and would definitely return to this cabin. The cabin was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed and the location was nothing short of amazing. Easy access to downtown Gatlinburg and an easy drive in the mountains. The views were spectacular and the best part. Thank you Cloud 9!

Even better than pictured! Perfect last-minute getaway for us Cincinnati kids. Not a single thing we needed—even a fridge full of pickles (our fave). Best sleep we’ve had in a long time too—quiet, dark, comfy bedroom. And the deep bathtub was a LUXURY after long days of hiking.
