Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Dare County

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

Perfect place for family time! My family plus dog enjoyed our stay very much. The house looks just like the pictures provided, we enjoyed morning breakfast on the back screened in porch and fun filled afternoons kayaking and laying out on the back dock. The house was clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed our stayed so much we will definitely be back.

This home was absolutely gorgeous and suited our needs perfectly. Lots of parking for our trailer and a big fenced yard for our pooch. Felt right at home. Super clean and comfortable. The host was very hospitable. We would definitely stay here in the future when we aren’t on a work trip so we can enjoy the home and surroundings more.

Our stay at changing tides in the Outer Banks was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views and the short 30 second walk to the pristine beach. The house itself is a perfect blend of coastal charm and modern comfort, with a fabulous kitchen, hot tub, and very well appointed living spaces. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the thoughtful touches made our vacation effortless and relaxing. The location in Duck was ideal—close to local restaurants, shops, and attractions like iconic duck donuts haha, nearby cute places to eat , yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. The host was incredibly responsive. We will definitely return.

This is an excellent location for the entire Outer Banks. Recommendations on things to do and places to eat were very good. The automatic lights for taking the dog out at night were perfect. Check in/out instructions were very detailed. Jenna & Tim were great hosts. Lots of amenities and great layout. Lots of fans, lighting and outlets. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. When we return to the Outer Banks this will be the first place we look for availability. Great week stay!! Had some issues with the internet not working when we first arrived but Amanda was very responsive and called Spectrum to get it fixed the next day for us. Listing was as described. Lots of bugs and flies outside but to be expected since it was in the listing. Saw a few bears in the area and wildlife! Nice and secluded - about a 25 min drive into Nags head, not bad. Was able to utilize the grill which was nice to have a cookout with the family! Overall nice stay for the price and had a great vacay with the family

Really enjoyed our stay in the outer banks. Travis was super responsive and helpful and check in/check out was painless. House was well stocked with everything we could need and was very clean on arrival. Coffee shop was less than a block away, which was nice in the morning. Beach was just a few blocks away and the access had a ramp, which was nice for the wagon and stroller. No ramp on the beach side but if you go down one more access to Admiral, there is a flat beach entry. Back yard area with fire pit and grill was great for relaxing. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in the outer banks.

We had a great time staying here. It was closely located to everything we could possibly need. It was cozy to stay in on days it rained. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe with a walking trail nearby for our dog. Also, the place was stocked with so many kitchen amenities I was shocked! There was a Nespresso, Keurig, Ninja, frother, etc. We were able to save money and eat in more than we expected with all the kitchen necessities already there!

We loved that we were able to walk to the beach and to the bay. Also loved the beach parking pass to give us the option to drive to the beach. We used the beach chairs, boogie boards and bicycles and all of them were fantastic! Very comfortable house, felt right at home there. Perfect house for a family to use. Also very helpful that Target, Publix and tons of restaurants were very close.

We had a great stay at Toes in the Sand. It was even better than pictured. I was originally worried from the photos that maybe you couldn’t see the ocean from the main living floor, but you absolutely can see the ocean from nearly everywhere in the house. It’s lovely. Such a charming house, quiet, beautiful beach, and near enough to groceries, gas, and anything else you’d need. Also, had a great Oceanside dinner at Fish Heads <30 min north! Dana and her co Host was amazing we had the best few days of vacation possible in the outer banks 100% recommend Dana’s place we will for sure be back next year and anytime we go to obx !

Hands down my favorite stay in the OBX, great location, perfect for my puppy, can walk to the beach, local convenience store/food. Host was amazing gave me great recommendations!

Our family had a great vacation. The house was beautiful with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for all of us!! The house is private but very close to the beach, dunes, restaurants and shops. Would definitely love to visit again!

The condo was tidy and as described. The kitchen was very well stocked with plates, glasses, pots and pans, and other cooking implements which was great since we cooked a lot. Having access to 2 pools was excellent -- we used them daily. It was very convenient to have a good restaurant and ice cream shop right across the parking lot. The beach access point was a bit farther than I expected, but it was still easy to get to. Over all we had a lovely stay.

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

Shelli went over & beyond to make sure our stay went smooth. She responded to any of our needs very promptly. The Airbnb felt cozy yet spacious enough for 3 adults & our golden retriever. We would all stay there again.

We had a great weekend getaway! It was very clean and quiet. We loved how dog friendly it was and the parking pass for the Avalon Pier made getting to the beach very easy!

From the moment we pulled onto the property, they were there to greet us. Very personable, easy to talk to, very informative. Every time we had a question, the return answer was immediate. Very secluded and peaceful. Wish the weather had been better throughout our stay but it was very nice to wake up to the sound of the waves and nature. I will say if you have a toddler to make sure to take a safety gate. He made it a challenge wanting to climb the stairs so we went out to buy some for our stay. WiFi is spotty (which is a good thing) but I didn’t realize none of my messages were sent until this morning. My husband and son enjoyed some fishing and caught a few stingrays. I would love to go back later in the year.

Inna’s place was absolutely beautiful and perfect. Easy access to the beach, restaurants, and was private. We especially loved the outside shower after a day at the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful first time to the Outer Banks experience.

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!

This tiny house is perfect! It is located less than a 5 minute walk to the beach/pier, coffee shops, and restaurants. The hosts were kind, and gave local recommendations. The bed was so comfortable, and we had everything we needed to cook dinner in at night. The shower water was hot, and shower toiletries were provided. Everyone we spoke with in Rodanthe was so wonderful! We truly couldn’t say enough great things about this tiny home and the location it’s in. It was such a great stay, and we hope to return one day.
