Reservation, checkin and checkout were smooth. The unit is bigger than it appears in the pictures with a good sized living/dining/kitchen that is open plan and nice sized bedrooms upstairs. The WiFi worked well and there is a TV in the living room and every bedroom. If you want a more analog experience, a few TVs have VCRs and there is a wide selection of family friendly VHS tapes.

David was a wonderful host with a cozy cabin. David was not only responsive, but he was also prophylactic in the way of having a few lists at the cabin with various easy to understand instructions, local eateries, and activities. The cabin itself had nearly anything you could think of and more in terms of amenities. We would definitely have David host us again in the future.

This is the perfect place to get away. Madeline was fantastic about messaging us and letting us know what to expect, things to do, and info about the house. She also is one of the most thoughtful host we’ve encountered. The space was perfect for what we were looking for. Comfortable bed, stocked with essentials, looked just like the photos, and had some extras we were not expecting. The road to the cabin is steep and unpacked, but Madeline let us know about before we arrived so we knew what to expect. We were so grateful that we could bring the dogs with us. The location is perfect if you want a quiet getaway. It was about an hour away from Luray and the Shenandoah NP entrances.

We really enjoyed staying at this Air BnB, especially since we were permitted to have a dog there. We enjoyed how close it is to Canaan Valley Ski Resort, Blackwater Falls State Park and Davis, WV. The beds were comfortable and accommodations were as expected.

5 star stay here in Davis. The space is beautiful and spacious end unit townhouses on two levels. The hot tub was brand new and water was pristine. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay. There is a lovely community space a few feet away with playground, pool and lake. I would highly recommend this place

This area of the country is beautiful and the location was great. Matt was a responsive host. My only complaint is that it's really much smaller than it appears in the pictures (it's more like a tiny house). On the plus side, the night sky was AWESOME and there are truly fantastic hikes within a hours drive. Overall, we made the best of it and had a cozy time when we were at home.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bear’s Lair! My dad traveled with us and he is in his 80s and doesn’t get around very well so the one-floor set up was very convenient for him to navigate. We were nice and close to the downtown Thomas area. The space was very clean and very modern. We felt right at home! The beds were very comfortable and the sheets and towels were crisp and clean. Would definitely recommend staying here. We have already put it on our list for our next visit!

The home has lots of character and charming details. We enjoyed our time and loved cooking together. The living space is open, inviting, and relaxing. It was a great family atmosphere. The tree swing and fire pit were fun. The shower being on the first floor separate from the bedrooms upstairs was unexpected but didn't cause any problems for our group. Also, whoever sleeps in the tree house room should know they'll need to descend a ladder to use the bathroom. This house is super great and the mountains surrounding are breathtaking. We would definately stay again.

We had a great stay! The house is a perfect location in Davis and was easy to locate. The kitchen had plenty of dish ware/ cooking ware which made cooking at home simple. Alison was always quick to communicate which was so helpful.

Excellent accommodations. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers, an infant and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the spacious first floor for their magna-tile and lego projects and the adults were happy at the large dining table. The outdoors were quiet, spacious and plenty of opportunities for the kids to run around. We used this location as a central point for the high peaks hike in MD and WV, an excellent location. Also visited Blackwater Falls and Seneca Rocks - amazing natural wonders. Would definitely rent again if in the area.

The house is very spacious and quaint. Updates are appropriate and keep with the feel of the house. Only a few steps from main commercial strip of Davis. Walked to get coffee and breakfast. Kim and Josh were quick to respond and solve any problems we had with the facility. Allowed a later checkout to accommodate our family. Would stay again.

Definitely strongly considering coming back. Dolly Sods nearby is great. House is at end of road, very private, beautiful stars, wonderful wind/rain/snow in the trees. Exceptionally spacious. Hot tub is great. Hot water heater broke while we were there and she gave us a discount without asking. Fusball table is a plus. Recommend.

We had a wonderful time. Sitting on the porch was so peaceful. Everything was very clean and we loved the antiques throughout the house.

Rebekah’s place was beautiful! A great location to relax and not too far from some good food/coffee and plenty of outdoor activities. She was very responsive and helpful - and we really enjoyed it

Comfortable bed and living room furniture to relax after a day out. Thick, soft bathroom towels which I always appreciate. The washer and dryer was also nice to have. Very walkable to several restaurants and brewery. I highly recommend the ice cream place!

Terri’s Airbnb was absolutely gorgeous. The detail and thought they put into this Airbnb was impeccable. You got to enjoy the feel of a private log cabin with all of the updates! The kitchen has everything you needed, and was nice and open to the living room. There were 3 bedrooms- all with good sized beds! It rained the first day, but the second day we cooked out on the grill and had a great time staying in! We also did a little exploring to the observatory. We’d 100% come back and spend a longer weekend walking the trails and taking a train ride! Overall 10/10 stay! :)

This entire experience was amazing! Leslie, the host, was great with communication and helping with any questions we had. The property was beautiful, the location was perfect. We had over a dozen people in the property and it didn't feel cramped at all. The host was flexible and even assisted in adding another night when we wanted to stay longer. I Highly Recommend this property and host!

The family owned “lodge” was perfect for our stay; spacious, clean, quiet, and well laid out for times together or when private time is desired. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed to eat in. Several restaurants nearby: the town of Thomas had unique stores & galleries. Davis, WV had a nice, established brewery. Skiing, sledding, tubing, disc golf activities nearby. Brandie (owner) was very helpful & responsive when questions arose. Great place for families, etc. Highly recommend when visiting the area.

Our group loved this home! It was conveniently located close to the lodge, however I do not recommend the walk in ski boots. The mudroom was perfect for getting ready and drying out clothes. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of counter space. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay and the place is exactly as it was described. Beds were comfy and the living room was very spacious with a great couch and TV set up. The house has privacy and great views of the mountain ridge. Would definitely book again!

We had an incredible stay at Lost River Estates! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hosts put a lot of thought into every detail. The house was spotlessly clean, with fresh linens and robes, modern kitchen, and squeaky -clean bathrooms. Everything felt fresh and well cared for, which made settling in so easy. The location is an absolute dream for nature lovers! Tucked away in the middle of a peaceful forest, the location was everything we hoped for — quiet, secluded, and full of natural beauty. If you’re looking to disconnect and unwind, this is the place. One of the standout features was the in-home movie theatre — what a treat! The setup was fantastic, with a big screen, surround sound, and cozy reclining chairs. It was perfect for a relaxing night in with family. Every detail, from the thoughtful decor to the welcome guide with local tips, made this place feel extra special. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend it to anyone!
