Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Decorah

We loved staying at Ann’s Place! We loved having access to walk down to the river - there were Eagles swooping overhead! The back porch was a great place to hangout and chat. There was plenty of room for all of us to stay. We enjoyed going to Effigy Mounds National Monument! Chelle met us at the home and oriented us to the house and told us a bit of local history. It was a great trip and we were grateful for the space at Ann’s Place.

We loved our weekend at the cabin. Private space with beautiful deck views and a great fire pit. Definitely one of our favorite places we have stayed at!

The home was peaceful & comfy. Very clean!! My wife is a professional cleaner. She was very impressed. Beds were amazing!! It's like the mattress hugs you. Quiet location. Back patio was nice too. No complaints.

Great spot. Not far out of town and plenty of room. We had 4 adults, a baby and a dog and didn’t feel cramped at all! Elise was quick to respond with any questions we had. Would stay again.

Jerry’s charming log cabin was a delightful place to stay during Luther graduation weekend! A little off the beaten path, in a good way! The setting is serene and the house is cozy and inviting.

The house met our expectations, and more. It was a very nice space for our extended family, including young children. We loved the location. Walkable to downtown, grocery store, and park. Would highly recommend it to others.

From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable. The set up is very nice and spacious. They had what we needed. We didn’t do anything in town being we were there for a graduation in another town. Would be a great place to spend a weekend away with family and friends. We look forward to staying again and recommending this home to others.

What a perfect girls weekend at Chimney Rock Retreat. Secluded and perched atop a classic Driftless hill, we didn’t leave the property once! We cooked in the well equipped full kitchen, sat on the deck listening to the birds, walked the woods and stayed up all night talking in the cozy living room. We also had two littles in tow and it was such a relief that the house was outfitted with toys and that they could roam the safe, beautiful grounds - far from the road or any hazards. Thank you for a deeply restorative weekend! We plan to return next year.

My host had great communication with me. The space was very clean and nice. Looked exactly like what i was paying for online. There was a little mix up on the rooms but my host was quick to get it resolved!

Norma Jean & Daryl are welcoming, kind hosts with an absolutely beautiful property! They were attentive to our safety as there was winter weather and helpful at every turn. My friend & I were celebrating a milestone birthday and had a perfect stay at their place.

I had a wonderfully quiet stay. I booked this the day of my arrival. Booking was quick and easy. Gaining access was even easier. The apartment is above a garage and private. The wifi was good. I was able to conduct zoom meetings without a glitch. There’s not too much in the immediate area, but Prairie du Chien and McGregor are a short drive away.

Apartment matches the photos and was as described. Great location with easy access to great outdoors activities, food options and a quaint downtown just a few blocks away.

Thanks Evan and Kristen! We had a great stay during the Driftless yoga festival. Perfect location by the trail and walking distance to Will Baker Park. We loved having coffee in the back yard with the view of all the trees. Mama deer and fawn spotted on the lane coming back from dinner one night! Overall great stay!

Carrie went above and beyond in making us feel welcomed and cared for by all the little touches and thoughtful communication. She let us borrow lawn chairs and blankets for the local parade! Hot tub was divine! The very best experience I have had at a place!!! Can’t wait to come back.

Decorah High Point Magnolia Cabin was perfect quiet get away for our anniversary! Beautiful cabin, wonderful views and wildlife. Very relaxing!

The Trout Creek Cabin was such a magical place! Nestled along a serene creek off a quiet country road about 20 min from Lanesboro, we loved our morning coffee on the deck enjoying the multitude of songbirds. The cabin was perfect for our anniversary weekend to escape the noise of people and fully relax in nature, but with comfy amenities and a glorious whirlpool under the stars! Suzette, Andrew, & Mindy thought of all the personal touches from a nice coffee/tea assortment, a bottle of wine, bathrobes, spongy slippers, little label signs - and much more! We loved the design and colors of the house throughout, and a lovely deck to take in all the nature! Day trips to Lanesboro were not a long drive as the countryside is spectacular, just takes about 20 mins. We hope to be back and maybe we’ll bring our son next time.

We loved this property!! We appreciated being able to bring our pups with us and enjoy the scenery!! We absolutely loved the hot tub and to be able to enjoy the sunset from the porch. Highly recommend this property.

Looking for a relaxing weekend with the family with a ton of potential for memories that last a lifetime? Look no further than this hidden gem in De Soto. I've frequently traveled south craving "southern hospitality", little did I know, just a couple hours north had "Midwestern hospitality"! Justin was very responsive initially when asking about his property, very knowledgeable about surrounding activities as well as great watering holes if you catch my drift. The cabin is decorated perfectly and it immediately makes you take a deep breath and smile knowing that you are home. There is plenty of room for you and your family to stretch out, play games, go fishing off of your own private dock, walk to the Rivers Edge and grab a bite to eat (less than a 5 minute walk), etc. If you've got a boat, bring it!! Don't miss out on the local wineries at your stay either! rate 10/5! Can't wait to return!

Great little cabin. You do get all of your money worth; from the moment you walk in, you have all you need. Place is well maintained and all the little gadgets you need when cooking away from home. There is a business next door to the patio off of the cabin and unfortunately, we could hear them working most of the day. If the patio would have had one more section of fence, it would have felt much more “private” But, I am overall satisfied and would rent from this family again!!

Everything, as usual, was wonderful. I have stayed here several times and have future stays booked. The cabins are super cozy no matter what time of year. This was an odd stay weather-wise, as the in-floor heat was needed overnight (oh that is the BOMB, especially in winter!) and the a/c in the afternoon was needed sometimes. Either way - easily stayed completely comfortable! I can't say enough good about Andy Mountain. As a lone female traveler, I can attest to how safe and at home you'll feel there. The cabins/campground have a neighborhood feel and everyone is always friendly. It's nice to have your own private space with covered porch, grill, and fire pit right there. Also of note is that there are dishes, silverware etc and a full size fridge so you can do all of your own cooking if you're not going to be out and about. Great stay - best place I've ever stayed and will continue to stay there in the future!

Excellent cozy cabin in the woods! Very private setting feels like your a part of nature, lots of birds and deer around the cabin. Very nice touches around the cabin - high quality beds, sheets, linens, and even blankets. Comfortable couches and chairs inside and outside. Highly recommend!!

If your are looking for something private and off the beaten path, look no further! This was a perfect place for my wife and I to disconnect and reconnect with each other. Beautiful land and nature surrounds you with a cozy cabin to boot. We spent most of our time outside and it was just magical. I would highly recommend this as a spot to spend some time with your loved one/s. We will definitely keep this on our radar when choosing a destination for our next getaway.
