We had a lovely two night stay in the ‘purple room’ and had everything that we needed. David and Justine were fantastic hosts and the information that we received prior to our arrival was incredibly helpful and made getting access to the room etc..extremely easy. We needed to get a cab one night to a wedding reception that we were attending nearby and again, the hosts quickly advised us of a cab company and number. Breakfast was super…..fresh bread for toasting, fresh fruit, juice and yoghurts!! Just a little note from hubby….please can we have Earl Grey tea next time. Super location too…. numerous places to eat on the main street and again, all of this was provided beforehand so that we could book a table in advance if we wanted to. Bakewell is well worth a visit (40 minutes away) and Denby Pottery Centre (15 mins).

Sharon is very kind and friendly person . She allowed us to check out at any time as there was no guests next day . The areas is perfect for nice walks . Totley and Dore 20/30 minutes walks to village centres great pubs and restaurants. Really enjoyed the stay.

Had a wonderful stay. Lindsey was extremely kind and attentive, offering us bread and milk for our stay. There was a large range of breakfast items provided. Overall I cannot recommend enough!

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Well planned and appointed with clear instructions that make arriving and settling in easy and relaxing. Loved the decor, the garden was a little bit of heaven and the hot tub the icing on the cake. Perfect for a romantic get away.

Caroline was a great host and very helpful. She went to the road and waved to us when we got stuck on the location and phoned from the petrol station. She provided us with yummy Bakewell tarts and was very friendly.

Lovely, peaceful location with walks in the Derbyshire Dales on the doorstep. Great English and Continental breakfast that set us up for the day. Useful recommendations from Hil for local places to eat. Would stay again and recommend.

Fantastic place to stay. Was immaculately clean with lots of nice touches to make you feel at home. Especially loved the fact that there was oat milk sachets available - the sort of extra thought most hosts wouldn’t include.

Helen was an amazing host and really attentive when welcoming us. She was available if we needed anything but she also gave us privacy during our stay. Her guest house is gorgeous. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely beautiful spot, stunning views and amazing accommodation. Kayleighs communication was great and instructions were perfect. Couldn't have asked for more!

We stayed for two nights and the annexe at Cliffe Cottage was perfect for a short stay. It is beautifully decorated, has lots of storage, a powerful shower and comfy bed. Andree generously left us sachets of milk, lots of tea and coffee, a couple of bottles of water and some chocolate bars - not everyone does this and it’s very welcome when arriving. The mini fridge is a good size, we used it for beers and cheese! Andree wasn’t there during our stay but sent perfect instructions and kindly kept in contact. Hathersage is a picturesque village and great spot to start many walks, and there’s a lot of choice for food and drink very close by, many are open on Sunday evening too. Definitely recommended and very good value!

A gem of a find. Peaceful and tranquil. Home from home. Kirsty and James were lovely and their girls are a delight. Handy for Donington Park and East Midlands Airport. Only one negative…… leaving 🙁

Pat and Den are absolutely lovely hosts. They were very welcoming and helpful with directions. The property was perfect for our stay, with everything we needed. I would 100% reccomend to anyone looking for a compact place to stay.

We stayed at this charming cottage during Easter and had a wonderful experience. The host was exceptionally friendly, responsive, and caring, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The cottage itself is lovely—spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The surroundings are absolutely fantastic. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, with sheep and cows grazing nearby and a lovely cat who would come by to say hello. It truly felt like a perfect countryside retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway in the Peak District.

I have stayed with the Glyn & Lynn for a year now (minus July) and it’s been a real home away from home after mine had been flooded. It’s been marvellous and in a way I shall be really sad to be leaving the Croft family. Everything you could possibly want is here. You will certainly have a wonderful welcome and a very comfortable stay.

The room was spacious and lovely and the bathroom looked modern and squeaky clean. Peak District is a fair distance by car, and a cafe, restaurant and pub are right outside the accommodation. A very cosy stay, didn’t want to leave.
