Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Dorset

Had the best couple of days staying at the hut, was greeted by Alexandra who was extremely friendly and helpful she showed us the facilities and hut. hut itself was a lovely little place, we could've happily stayed for longer. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay again, thanks so much :)

An absolutely dreamy escape for two! complete with scenic views, and enough special touches to feel at home. Fiona made everything so comfortable and we look forward to coming back!

Amazing stay at Mark’s shepherds hut. Incredible location, super peaceful and as described. Well kitted out. We had a lovely BBQ and enjoyed some marshmallows say around the fire. The abbey nearby was worth a visit and had a swim in the river. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Mark.

Fabulous host, gave us the most wonderful recommendations. Helped with ferry tickets and buses to arrive. Beautiful location, so peaceful and calm and relaxing waking up to the sound of nature. Will definitely be visiting again!

The 2 ladies that greeted us upon check in were friendly and helpful. the campsite is clean, peaceful, tranquil. plenty of toilet/shower blocks which were clean, modern and accessible whenever my family needed. all guests very friendly. as for the shepherds hut, it was warmer then expected with plenty of room and storage under the main double bed. mattress very comfortable and 2 single beds which could fit up to 5ft 2 child on comfortably. if your on a budget i would recommend arranging food (there is 2 electric hob perfect for pasta) as a family of 4 we walked to nearest pub restaurant st peters finger, was nice but pricey and limited menu. highly reccommended for short stay (1/2 nights) with local links for things to do

A delightful and charming place to stop and relax. Everything was superb - the hut, its private garden, the thoughtful book selection, the bed linen which smelt of fresh air, the warm croissants and home made jams. Daisy the retriever, was the icing on the cake. Sarah and Frank are warm, available as needed but respectful of privacy.

Cozy little stay with brutal surroundings. Fully equipped so cooking for two is no issue!

A beautiful space with so many thoughtful touches throughout, including homemade sourdough bread and preserves. Great amenities, peaceful surroundings, and an incredibly helpful…but never intrusive host! We would definitely recommend, and return.

We just enjoyed a lovely weekend stay in this gorgeous tranquil Shepherd's Hut in Dorset. The location was so private and quiet. Perfect opportunity for a digital detox! So easy to get around the local area to nearby Swanage & Corfe Castle. Beautifully designed and equipped for everything you could possibly need. This was a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of the most beautiful grounds! We loved the shepherds hut so much. The entrance is magical down a long pebble driveway past the owners home that looks like something from house and home magazine. Probably one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve seen. Shirley made sure the hut was ready for when we arrived which happened to be earlier than expected. We were met with a lovely warm and informative welcome, Shirley showed us the grounds and the hut which were both stunning. The hut has everything you need, top quality products and linens. Shirley gave us so many recommendations for the local area and places to visit. We will certainly be staying again!

Just home from a few days at Natalie’s gorgeous shepherds hut. We had the best time. Totally relaxing break. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family. Lovely place x

We wanted a relaxing few days and that’s exactly what we got! The shepherds hut is beautifully appointed and is in an idyllic situation. We had lots of things planned to do but in the end just chilled as the spot was so beautiful (we were also very lucky with the weather!)

It is a delightful shepherds hut and thoughtfully laid out. It’s like a tardis and feels bigger on the inside. Very comfortable and the rain shower is just what you need after a long day fossil hunting. Would recommend and hopefully return again.

I had a lovely stay at Andrea’s place! The accommodation was clean, cosy, and exactly as described. The location was peaceful and ideal for unwinding, and Andrea was a thoughtful and responsive host. Would happily stay again – highly recommended!

Had a lovely three night stay in Acorn hut. Spacious and very private outdoor space with a hot tub for relaxing. Bathroom facilities were clean and shower was great. The hut itself was cosy with everything you need for a few nights away. Big enough for my partner and I as well as our large greyhound. The host was lovely and helpful with advice about places to go and the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend a stay here for anyone looking for a peaceful spot.

A wonderful stay at the Collie for 2 nights. A wonderful well equipped Sheppard's Hut and the extra special touches that Chloe provided from the arrival hamper to the hot tub being preheating for arrival. The views across the Somerset levels are beautiful and the night time sky was perfect for relaxing around the fire/bbq and in the hot tub. Thr local area of Glastonbury and cider farms add to this lovely weekend.

Fabulous place that is beyond what you would expect from a Shepherd’s Hut. Great thought and attention to detail has clearly gone into building and designing this place. It’s deceptively spacious and has got everything you need and more, the hot tub and outside seating are real bonuses, all in all a fabulous spot.

Great little hut on the edge of the heathland, that perfectly suited a chilled night with our youngest son, he absolutely loved the hut, collecting wood for the fire and the rope swing . Perfect nights sleep had by all.

A lovely hut in the New Forest, beside the local pub (which we didn’t actually try). A peaceful location! Really well appointed, luxurious hut, with v comfy bed and a lovely bathroom! What more could you want!

The hut is a good position for beach and lovely walks, The Haven pub is nice but does shut early sometimes. Comfy bed, good shower, off road parking is a bonus. because yell
