Family-friendly holiday rentals in Downtown West, Minneapolis

This is by far the cleanest Airbnb ever. Since we are a group of snorers, we had to try out the 2 couches in the adorable nooks and they were perfect. Appreciated the electrical outlets. All typical travel issues that I usually encounter were solved here. Stay at Aaron and Colleen’s. You won’t regret it.

My family and I selected Aaron and Colleen as hosts based on their five-star rating and safe location. However, we received more than what was expected. The first day, we were met with a personalized note, chocolates, and drinks in the fridge, including homemade cold brew! Such a thoughtful touch made us feel right at home. We were busy with family activities in the city, so we didn’t use the Peloton, hot tub, or sauna as expected. Still, returning to immaculate, extremely comfortable, stylish accommodation was lovely. The mattress was perfect! We also enjoyed listening to various records on the record player while playing cards and board games; it felt nostalgic. We enjoyed our stay, to say the least, and hope to revisit our experience at some future time.

Great place. Eric had wonderful recommendations for walkable restaurants and other things to do in the area. The yard and garage area were a hit. Very friendly host.

It was even nicer than the photos, with a beautiful back yard, fun pool table, very clean. Jill was very responsive.

Great place to stay! Easy to get around Minneapolis. This is the best stocked, most organized rental we have ever been to. Sarah has truly thought of everything to make your stay the best.

This well-equipped home is the perfect base for exploring Minneapolis. It's convenient to lots of activities and restaurants, but a tranquil spot to relax with plenty of space both inside and outside. Highly recommend.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Amy Jo was a wonderful host and we felt right at home! The home was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, and my little one had a blast playing with the toys and watching the ducks on the pond. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful, historic condo just down the street from Bde Maka Ska and a short, peaceful walk to the Uptown neighborhood. Our group greatly enjoyed the spacious common areas and comfortable bedrooms, all of which were immaculately clean. Liz is a superb host who gave clear, easy to follow check-in and check-out instructions. We highly recommend this listing.

Very nice and cozy spot near downtown. The place was as described and looked exactly like the photos. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The house was charming, and had lots of amenities. The kitchen had more pots and pans, silverware, appliances than I’ve ever seen at any other Airbnb where we’ve stayed. It was awesome!! Having use of the garage is also rare, and it was so convenient. We were there in the spring, and it would be really helpful in the winter. Kudos to excellent hosts for making the atmosphere so friendly and warm.

Josh & Layl’s place is exactly the kind of quirky, character-filled place we love to stay when traveling. The apartment is full of art, books, and games. We are part of a large extended family and the dining table was inviting for long talks and laughter. The location was fantastic for us as we could walk to a cousin’s home and the Windom Park. Holy Land is always a favorite and it’s practically next door. 10/10 recommend.

The place was solid. We loved the location and loved that we could bring our doggies along w us. The kitchen pretty much had everything you could need, and the bathroom was even stocked with sanitary supplies, which I thought was a sweet touch. The house is wacky, but in a cool good way. I’d be back for sure.

Great location, easy street parking, and there is everything you need in the apartment though it is quite small.

Charle's Airbnb was the perfect place for us to stay during a transition between homes. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and well taken care of. We stayed for nearly two weeks, and it truly felt like a second home. The space is exceptionally clean and well-equipped with everything you might need. It's a classic South Minneapolis duplex, and Charles and his wife live right next door, making it easy to reach out if anything comes up. The neighborhood is safe, walkable, and just a short stroll to Lake Harriet, with plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Having our own private washer and dryer and white noise machines was a huge plus! And one especially thoughtful touch- Charles asks guests NOT to clean before checking out, which is a rare and appreciated gesture on Airbnb these days. If we find ourselves back in Minneapolis, we would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

What a wonderful stay! My husband and I spent a week scouting neighborhoods for our upcoming move to the area, and this was a perfect place central to everything we needed. Brenda and Brian were very responsive, and it's apparent that they put a lot of thought into the unit. We bumped into Brian the day before our departure (they live in the downstairs unit) when he was working in the garage, and had a lovely conversation. You can tell they really enjoy hosting, and we will absolutely recommend friends and family book this when they come to visit us after our move. The parking spot in the back is a great bonus, and we felt very safe here. There's a busy street nearby, but we weren't ever really bothered by traffic noise inside. We walked around the neighborhood at night and felt very safe as well. Lovely tree lined streets all around too.

Nancy and Rick's place is tremendous! Very comfortable, well appointed, great amenities and the location was awesome. The place is spacious and cozy; bed was extremely comfortable. We love Minneapolis and will return here again. We loved walking/biking around the area (so easy!) with many restaurants and parks to visit. We've been to many, many AirBnbs; this is one of the best. We didn't see Rick but had a great chat with Nancy.

My family had a great time at Dawn's place. She was very kind and quick to respond to my inquiries. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and close to Minnehaha Falls, which was nice for a walk. The living room was cozy and the bedroom was clean and very comfortable. I would come back if I had the chance.

We’ve stayed in a number of Airbnbs in Minneapolis/St Paul, and Daniel’s definitely stands out. The apartment is sunny and spacious, with a big and well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom is lovely, and taking a bath at the end of a long day was fantastic! Daniel was responsive and very easy to work with. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back. Thanks, Daniel!

The apartment was nice and quiet. Our check-in could have been smoother but the hiccups were my fault. A good value and a few minutes from Starbucks. Great hosts.

This was our 4th stay at Mel and John’s place. One our favorite Airbnbs. Very friendly hosts who are super responsive. Apartment has a fully stocked kitchen with all you need to prepare meals. Lovely neighborhood with great access to a large park with lots of great trails and access to other parks. Easy access for the Minnesota state fair

Beautiful bungalow in a quiet, residential area of Minneapolis. It was a relaxing spot to return to after a busy day in the city. We also enjoyed how close the location is to the restaurants and shops at 50th and France.
