Opende is located in the Friese Wouden. The Airbnb is on our property on the border of Groningen and Friesland. Hiking and biking are possible in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also easy to do. Culture can be found in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 min). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

The former garage has now been converted into a guest house with all the amenities of a modern studio. In our yard is this beautiful newly built gypsy wagon! This pipo wagon has a new kitchen, a bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The Frisian forests are ideal for beautiful bike rides and walks. In addition, Drachten, Leeuwarden and Groningen are in the vicinity. The pipo wagon has a view over the countryside. There are several hiking trails and cycling routes that pass the plot, such as the Friese Wouden path and routes 51, 21 and 34.
