Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Eastern coast of Cantabria

12 of us stayed with Mari Luz and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable and felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. At first I was worried that we might disturb Mari Luz but we didn't receive any complaints despite 1 or 2 late nights drinking around the dinner table. Also I'm extremely glad we stayed in Castro Urdiales instead of Bilbao since Castro was a much more relaxing and hospitable place and Bilbao was only a 30 min bus away anyway.

Great stay. The apartment is well located and equipped. Communication with the host went very well. Veronica answered at all times and very quickly. We're so grateful for everything. I recommend it 100%.

A charming house in a beautiful neighborhood

Casa Merino is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood in the mountains. In order to get into town (Castro Urdiales) and easily get to other areas of Cantabria, hiring a car or bringing your own is recommended. Pilar was very communicative and there to welcome us when we arrived. The house was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Pilar also readily answered queries during our stay and gave recommendations. We would happily recommend Casa Merino.

We enjoyed the stay. The house has everything you need and with beautiful views of the estuary. The area is very quiet and well connected for excursions. Manuela is attentive upon arrival and available throughout the stay. I would choose this place again!!!

We travel with family, marriage and two teenagers, the palm house met all our expectations, the host, whenever needed was attentive. The impeccable cleanliness, living room and living area very spacious and comfortable. All very well equipped, kitchen with ample kitchen, full bathrooms. The home clothes, linens, and towels are spotless. Very nice views. Highly recommended.

Small, cozy place with a great view! The kitchen was very well equipped, the bathroom was very clean and there is a parking space in front of the house! We were very satisfied with the communication, we were recommended restaurants and Bego was always available and inquired about our well-being. Check in was easy and went smoothly. We will be happy to come back!

The flat is in a superb location, with access to a beautiful beach without crossing a road. Car parking is safe and easily accessed, same applies to the flat itself. The flat is compact and well appointed. The balcony space affords excellent views of beach and beyond, and is a sun-trap from noon onwards. Spotlessly clean. We stayed in mid-May. The weather was very good, warm and dry. We did not spend much time in the town, but when I drove through there seemed to be all the amenities you would expect. The local supermarket (LIDL) was easily accessed and well-stocked. The location allows for a beach holiday or using the flat as a base to tour the area, which is exceptionally scenic and offers a lot of different options. Maria is a delightful, helpful host. I intend to return asap.

The apartment is very large and we felt very comfortable in it. The amenities are good. The check-in was very nice and easy - water, wine, coffee and chocolate bars were already ready, thank you! The apartment is located directly on the main street at the entrance to the village, so the traffic can sometimes be louder (motorcycles, garbage collection), but this did not bother us. There are many destinations within walking distance and you can get to the old town and the beach in a few minutes. We highly recommend this place!

The apartment is fantastic. It is spacious with plenty of storage and amenities. It had a working washing machine with facilities to dry on the balcony - this was useful as we had been travelling beforehand. There is a swimming pool which we didn’t use, however, it looked clean and very inviting! The area is perfect. A lovely coastal walk nearby and a place to generally chill overlooking the sea. The host gave very clear photos and instructions of how to check in etc. The only slight negative would be the check in time, which was 5pm. I feel this is quite late in terms of other properties. We were able to check in around 4pm which helped.

very good stay at Virginia's. well located apartment, possibility of doing everything on foot. Plenty of restaurants around. We recommend it and will surely return.

Diana's apartment is equipped with everything you could need, even food is partially provided. We were traveling with 2 children and Diana offered us a crib for our little one, as well as all doors and windows extra secured. However, what you should know is that the apartment is on the 5th floor WITHOUT an elevator and the windows are not renovated. That means some workout every day and unfortunately a little clairvoyant, but the shutters are dark. But all this did not bother us. Only the water quality left something to be desired with strong chlorine taste, but that is difficult to change. Overall, we liked it very much and we can highly recommend the apartment and surroundings for a stay as a family.

It is undoubtedly a clean, very nice and well-kept accommodation with spectacular views, central and quiet, we will definitely repeat, it has been a wonderful stay. Totally recommended, very good hosts!

The host is very friendly and helpful!There are many shops near the house, and it is close to the beach!The house is on the 5th floor with an elevator, not only that, we want to praise the host's hospitality, we love the variety of coffee machines, it's convenient and meets everyone's needs.

Amazing apartment in one of the prettiest cities in Spain! Checking in was super easy with Luis and the space had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

A lovely little apartment for a couple of nights stop in Suances, Carlos was very helpful and gave great instructions to find and access the apartment, nice little garden for our dog. Very comfortable bed

Very nice, clean and very equipped apartment. Perfect for two people, the bathroom somewhat small. Very equipped and modern kitchen. Everything was very clean. Laura was always attentive and decisive. Next to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Keep in mind that it is a second without elevator, for people with reduced mobility not recommended. The indoor parking is fine, but not having designated squares in times of much affluence such as summer or bridges you run out of place, and outside it is almost impossible to park, we went in the bridge and it was already on top, so in summer it can be crazy. I would return but not in the summer

It’s a good sleep there, apartments decorated very new.have all the appliances for cooking.

Diana was so lovely, she did a great job explaining everything despite the language barrier. The flat is in a private location in a beautiful building with everything you could possibly need. The apartment is walking distance to restaurants, beach etc and we managed to find parking outside.

Very nice apartment! Very quiet place. Host responds very quickly, very friendly. We moved to the center of Bilbao by subway, I think it's the best, punctual, you get to the historic center in 30 minutes. We left the car parked on the street near the apartment. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen with dishes for cooking and so on. Highly recommended!!
