Monthly Rentals in Eastern Shore of Virginia

The Bird House is a tucked away sanctuary on a working farm. Bountiful fishing in the pond - just out the back door. Beautiful sunrises over a Chesapeake tributary-out the front door! A wonderful sun deck with cushioned chaises. We enjoyed visiting with the horses, chickens and cattle. So much to see and experience. We saw butterflies, rabbits, heard very loud frog harmonies, a happy couple of geese, turkeys, and lots and lots of deer. The Bird House was a wonderful place to unwind, slow down and enjoy nature. The furnishings were extremely comfortable and well thought out. Thank you for sharing such a magical place.

We had a great stay in Cheriton! Gail’s place was larger in person and very comfortable. We did hear some street noise as others have mentioned but it wasn’t a problem-just something to be aware of. We’ll definitely be back!

My dog and I stayed here for two nights on our first trip to the eastern shore. It was a perfect home base for a trip up to Chincoteague as well as the more southern half of the shore. Mona’s guidebook suggestions were super helpful! We were able to check out quite a few of them, including the savage neck dunes, which are incredible. I mostly kept to myself, but this is a great place to do that. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This is my 4th or 5th stay here. This time, here for Paddlefest Weekend. Very convenient to the Park. Private, nice bedrooms, nice upgrades to the full bath since my last stay. Several good options within minutes for restaurants. Pleased as always with my stay. Will be returning.
