Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Elwood

We really enjoyed our stay at The Chambers South Yarra. Location was great with restaurants and supermarket close by. It was also just a short drive to the city. The home is perfect for families. Min and Ted are amazing hosts! They are very kind and responsive and they made sure we had a pleasant stay. Highly recommend The Chambers and we look forward to staying here again when in Melbourne!

It was a home away from home. We grew to love the place with the natural lighting, heated floors, piano/keyboard and the deli round the corner. Raymond was also excellent in responding to our queries.

Beautifully designed with every space feeling calm, homely and luxurious. The natural light is superb both upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs bed was incredibly comfortable - we did not try the one upstairs, but we loved the room and the space. The writers nook was absolutely gorgeous - it really inspired me, I loved it. Fiona and Dave have thought of everything for a unique stay where vintage and modern design are woven together to create a home filled with art and beautiful pieces everywhere. Close to south Melbourne market for shopping, and an ideal location for coffee and patisseries. I look forward to our next stay. Thank you!

This gorgeous historic home is in the best location with the tram across the road, the South Melbourne markets a very short walk as well as lots of local cafes and restaurants. The house is very comfortable and homelike as well as quite spacious for a one bedroom place. There’s a full kitchen with plenty of bench space to prepare all that beautiful food from the nearby markets!

Nice, clean place with a quick and responsive host. Easy access to public transport and close to some a pretty estate called Rippon Lea. Thank you for a lovely stay

A lovely home, great hosts and location. A great location and base for exploring Melbourne with multiple coffee shops in close walking distance and a 10 minute stroll to Carlisle st with a Coles and cafes etc. We chose this accomodation as we used to live in the area and it was very central to our family and the wedding that we were in Melbourne for. We did hire a car as we needed to visit family daily and finding parking was never a big issue, however trams and a train station are close too. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house had everything we needed as a family to enjoy a sunny, but very cold Melbourne. We had a lovely stay and look forward to next time.

Loved spending the weekend here. Beautiful home, very cozy, with everything you need, and such a quick walk to everything (although its almost better to stay inside by the fire). The hosts are super responsive, very helpful and flexible! Would definitely stay again if I’m in town.

Such a beautiful spot to stay at if you’re looking to feel relaxed and at home after a day exploring, or even just to enjoy the home itself! We enjoyed our stay so much, especially the shower- luxury!! We will definitely recommend and would rebook in the future. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality!

What can I say, Robert (and Ernie) were extremely helpful from pre arrival up until departure. Was a beautiful place to stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay close to the city but also far enough away to be quiet. would love to stay again on our next trip, thanks again Robert and Ernie

Andrew's place was a lovely getaway for the long weekend. It's charming with great character, and very well sized for a studio style unit. All the restaurants in St Kilda/Balaclava are just a hop and a skip away and it's quite peaceful aside from cars going by on the neighbouring main road. Andrew was also super responsive and great to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!

Olivia’s apartment was exactly as described. Beautifully appointed, cosy apartment in Elwood. Directly opposite the beach and a short walk to public transport, shops and cafes. The apartment was light filled and with considerable space for two people. The bed was very comfortable, and the soundproofing on the windows made for a very quiet room. We stayed for a short weekend, so didn’t make use of the kitchen - but it had a coffee machine, toaster, oven etc and all the things you might need. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Hi Pip & Jamie, We loved our time in Monton. Location was excellent - very close to our sister & public transport! Easy walking distance to shops & cafes. We appreciated those little touches that make a difference . . . Soft linen sheets, feather pillows, comfy, supportive mattresses, elegant, stylish decor. Thoughtful extras and beautifully clean. The place is absolutely beautiful and such a vibe. It looks just like the photos and I can’t recommend it enough The location is great with easy access to the city and there’s so much to explore in the area

Gioia’s home was bright and welcoming, it is in an excellent location - extremely close proximity to Woolies, Luna Park and the beach - if you’ve a puppy - there are plenty of doggy friendly places around. The home has everything you need, check in was sooooo easy and provided a restful home for our weekend.

What a stylish and comfortable apartment! It was the perfect place for my daughter and I on our visit to Melbourne. Everything design and decor detail was beautiful and felt like a luxury home away from home. Thank you

Jack is a world-class host, super responsive and caring of his guests. The place got 2 decent size bedrooms spacious living room and beautiful back yard. The place is really close to the beach ( 3 minute walk) and 5 minute walk to Elwood village (where you can find cafes, deli, health food shops and bars). The bus station is just around the corner, so very easy to get around with public transport (1 stop from Acland street) Everything we needed Jack was fast to provide and we will definitely come back on our next visit.

Una’s apartments was a delight to check into. With welcoming treats. Laundry facilities and detergent. Shampoo and conditioner. Just what I needed after a long trip. Coffee as well. Great location. A picnic basket too. Una was so understanding and fabulous to communicate with. I really felt spoilt. Thank you again for having me and Buddy to stay. Really grateful.

Selina’s place was just as beautiful as the photos promised. The location, overlooking Queen Victoria Market, was perfect! Central and convenient, with easy access to everything whether on foot or by public transport. The view from the 45th floor was incredible, such a unique perspective of the city. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely love to come back. Thanks for everything!

One of the best, most well organised airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. I was immediately right at home. Port Melbourne itself was abit boring but it was perfect for what I needed.

Scenic view from the apartment on the seafront. Comfortable well equipped and within 10 minute walk of a grocer and train station.

Great accommodation. Very quiet at night considering it’s near crossways with trams. Public transport only 2 mins walk away( trams), catch to Caulfield train station( 5 mins away). The apartment is very bright and sunny, amenities are great. Good setup with kitchen ( gas cooker), if wishing to stay home and cook. Lastly , the bed!!!! Sooooo comfortable, has electric blanket, and good supporting pillows. Highly recommend staying, the city is so close but away from the maddening crowds and noise.. chadstone shopping centre is just an uber away.

Incredibly easy to find and check in. Samuel was very responsive and everything was very clean when we arrived. The flat is a nice place to enjoy the local area and close to the train station to see the rest of Melbourne. Highly recommend!

had a lovely stay! the view of the city with the marvel stadium is incredible.. even cooler to go inside and watch a a game and walk out and see where you’re staying.:) great place and great person!
