Meadows and forests characterize the surroundings as well as inland dunes in the nature reserve, perfect for hikes with animals. Nearby bike and pedestrian paths invite you to explore the surrounding towns. Denmark is just a few kilometers away, as is the small town of Tondern. Access is separate from the residential building.

This is what holiday dreams under thatched roofs look like: The Frisian cottage "Kliemkiker" was newly built in 2016: 120 square meters of living space for up to 4 people on a nearly 1000 square meter plot with fantastic views, directly on the Wadden Sea National Park. A dog is also very welcome. All North Frisian islands (Sylt, Föhr, Amrum) and Halligen (e.g. Hooge, Gröde, Langeness) as well as the islands of Pellworm and Römö in Denmark are easily reached by car, train or boat as a day trip.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

The Schau ins Land vacation home consists of a semi-detached house with a private garden, furnished conservatory and large terrace with a beach chair and seating. On 125 m² of living space over 2 levels, a maximum of 8 people can be accommodated and it is ideal for 1-2 families. Your dog is welcome. The Schau ins Land vacation home has 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped large kitchen with storage room, 2 comfortable bathrooms and a spacious living and dining area.

You will stay on a residual farm, 6 kilometers from Dagebüll, the gateway to the islands of Föhr/Amrum. The Wadden Sea is 500 m away. Around you is a Highland breed, tomcat/cat, Estragon our show horse, Ella our mare, sheep, lambs, peace or Action! All 4 seasons have their charm. In autumn/winter, when the wind blows around your ears, there is tea punch here, in spring lambs, in summer the harvest! It's not far to Denmark. Römö can be reached in 50 minutes.

Built in 2023, the 2-bedroom apartment sleeps 4 people. The high-quality bathroom, a private sauna and two covered terraces invite you to relax. Welcome to our terp in Waygaard on Bottschlotter See. The Old Canoe Hous is a lovingly furnished, open 130 square meter apartment in our thatched-roof barn with a view of the lake, the surrounding meadows and the North Frisian marsh. It is ideal for nature lovers: you can fish, canoe, cycle around the accommodation and watch the flocks of birds that use the lake, which is partly a nature reserve, as a migration and nesting site.
