Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Faial Island

Bruna was great and even allowed to stay late for our later flight.

Absolutely amazing place for a couple of days of relaxation. The top balcony is great as you can see the sun set and enjoy the sea view while having dinner. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and even gives you coffee capsules and a water just in case. 5 stars

This was a wonderful home. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishware. The location was so peaceful. I look forward to returning to this amazing vacation get-away!!

We felt incredibly lucky to stumble upon (& get to book) Jorge’s summer family home: there is not a better view of Horta in the entire area! We loved having our mornings & evenings overlooking the gorgeous bay & town. There were many evenings we had dinner at home instead of out because we knew we could not beat that front yard! We never met Jorge, but he was so warm & responsive we felt like we knew him. His recommendations were terrific (do go to Peter’s Sport Cafe- the food is excellent & the Gin & Tonic, per their & Jorge’s recommendation, is so smooth & to die for ((& we aren’t even cocktail people)). The house was great; we only had one minor issue, & Marco & Carla, the caretakers, (who are such kind, wonderful people), handled it perfectly. We loved Faial so much! Definitely hike the volcanoes, & go to O Moro Quijeria for the best cheese in the world (seriously!). We certainly recommend this house to others & plan to rent it again ourselves :)

This place has a magnificent view and is quite peaceful. It's 30 minutes to the airport and well located to explore all the island good value and good local food nearby. Marina will look after you!

The accommodation was great, perfectly located right next to the sea and Cella Bar, offering great views of Mount Pico. The house is lovely, very clean and well decorated. We had a great stay !

We absolutely loved this house! Beatriz provided us with a lot of useful information about the area and about Pico. She was also very generous in providing us with Azorean food. The apartment had plenty of everything we needed. Check-in and check-out were very flexible in our case. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the garden, the sea and Sao Jorge island. In the surroundings there are pools, bars, restaurants, a museum and hiking trails that can easily be accessed without a car (though we strongly recommend one for discovering Pico).

Cleide was very sweet and welcoming. The house was very cool. The heated pool is very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Very cozy cottage, attached to the owner's house. Cozy and practically furnished. Good bed! Well-equipped kitchen, with coffee, tea, spices and a welcome beer. You can use the vegetable garden and the fresh eggs. Easy to get to the center of Horta and close to the supermarket. Car is recommended.

Very good hospitality from Paula and Joao who were accommodating regarding our arrival time and helped us to collect our vehicle. The house is in a good location, accessible by car from the port of Madalena and close to the airport. We had a lovely stay! I would highly recommend it.

This place is magical! We had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the great views, the cozy apartment and the nature surrounding the place. Can highly recommend - we would always come back.

Very nice, spacious accommodation with an optimal living room, bright and very functional. We also highlight the ease of check-in and check-out, and the friendliness of the host.

There are three separate apartments in the accommodation house. All are in top condition, with a great view and well equipped. Unfortunately, the kitchen is missing the essentials like oil and spices, which would have been nice. Otherwise, there is little to complain about, especially if you like cats you enjoy the daily visit of the walkers. And of course the hot tub is not to be forgotten as a highlight 👏

Ola Agostina! We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and perfectly located—just a short walk from everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the accommodation looked exactly like the photos, if not better. Agostinha Maria was a truly exceptional host—kind, generous, and attentive. She welcomed us with everything we could possibly need for breakfast: fresh eggs, bread, jam, butter, fruit, cheese, coffee, and even two bottles of wine as a delightful bonus. Her thoughtful hospitality made us feel right at home. She also shared fantastic local dining recommendations and gave us access to a fully equipped summer kitchen, which added to the charm of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-appointed getaway. Wonderful stay on Pico island. Close to the sea and natural beach, but also to the mountains. Everything was in perfect state, fully equipped kitchen.

Beautiful ground-level apartment that had everything I needed for my 4-day stay. As nice as the accommodation is, the best thing about the place might be the host Florencio who lives upstairs. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Florencio, as he was called out of town to help with a friend’s medical emergency. However, he was very attentive to making sure I had good directions, local information, etc. before I arrived and was easily reachable for my questions and responded quickly during my stay. Five stars for the place, ten stars for Florencio —- highly recommended !

Perfect location in the heart of Horta. Easy to walk to the marina and all the restaurants and bars. The apartment was spotless and extremely spacious. Host is very responsive and extremely helpful. Excellent home for your visit to Faial.

Eunice was an amazing host. She was always responsive, helpful and very kind. We had issues with the lock box and within 10 min she had the matter solved. We would definitely recommend Eunice as a host!

Great stay on Failal! The accommodation has everything you need, it is clean and is nicely located in ‘Varadouro‘; you can even walk to the natural pool by the sea. The host gives you a lot of information and tips and is easily accessible! Recommended!!

I totally recommend staying in this apartment, we loved it! We had to find a place to stay in a rush and Paula had everything prepared and ready for our arrival. She was extremely helpful with everything, gave us recommendations and made sure we were comfortable in our stay, we loved the overall experience :)

Stunning place in Pico. I think the best in terms of location (beautiful house on the ocean where you can enjoy sunset and sunrise). Very comfortable flats with everything at your disposal. Location is also perfect to visit the island. But the most important thing is the kindness of Ines and her mother Paula, two incredible hosts that will make you feel at home ❤️
