Le Petit Toit Gîte at La Charpenterie

Newly refurbished for the 2024 season, self-catering gîte for two in rural France, offering a double bedroom, en-suite walk-in shower room, open plan living with log fire and two private patio areas. It's a wonderful situation at the head of the beautiful Gatine valley. Ideal any season for walking, cycling or simply taking time out. In the winter months you’ll be cozy with the log burner - and there are heaters if you need extra warmth in a cold snap - just ask, we’re always nearby to help.

Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

Our family home is in the heart of a tourist region just 15km from Parthenay (remarkable medieval city hosting the famous FLIP, 50 min from the Poitevin marshes, 55 min from Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, Center parc, Mervent... 300m away, you can enjoy a magnificent body of water (playground, courtyard, picnic, toilet, pétanque, fishing) Bakery, grocery, smoking bar 3 minutes away. Terrace with fields as far as the eye can see.

Quiet and relaxing duplex, new and independent with a large covered and shared wooden deck. The accommodation offers a furnished kitchen on the ground floor, as well as a seating area equipped with a bench seat. Upstairs you will find the toilet, as well as the master suite. Azay-Sur-Thouet is 1H30 from La Rochelle, 1H00 from Futuroscope and Puy du Fou, 45 min from Marais Poitevin and 10 min from Parthenay (FLIP) and Pougne Hérisson (Festival du Nombril du Monde). No pets.

This peaceful home offers a relaxing stay for the whole family. Close to Futuroscope, Marais Poitevin, Puy du Fou, Parc Orientale de Maulévrier. A particularity of the cottage is that it is equipped with a dry toilet (indoor). Outdoor class. Parking spot. Possibility of two additional beds on the sofa bed. Your stay funds local cultural activities! Part of the profits are donated to the association Les Champs Bruissent, which organizes artist residencies.

A bigger bakery with snaking open 7/7 with bread machine 3 minutes away. Berthonniere fruit and vegetable store. Possibility to pick as well. And 10 minutes from downtown Parthenay

I am located 1 hour from Puy du Fou, 1 hour from Futuroscope and 1 hour from the marshes in the middle of the 3 emblematic sites that surround my farm.
