Also a queen size Tempur-pedic mattress, WiFi, microwave oven (behind a cabinet door), electric tea kettle, toaster oven, Keurig, refrigerator, hot plate, bar sink, large TV (with over 250 channels), DVD player, and off street parking. Nothing high-end here (except the mattress) but very comfy, clean, and private. Also the bathroom has it's own on-demand water heater (not shared).

You should plan on bringing your own bedding: pillows, towels, sleeping bags, etc. We have provided this in the past, but electricity costs are so high (washing, drying) that we can no longer afford to do so. If you need bedding, we will provide it, but you will be charged an extra $25 (flat fee).

This was my second time staying at Eunice's beautiful home. As with the last visit, she was warm and welcoming, her home was immaculate, and we had a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed. She made her wonderful breakfast in the morning, including her home made granola. We love the Ferndale area, and this was a great ending to a fabulous vacation. We plan on staying there again the next time we come through town.

Kyle was fantastic! Very responsive. Timely. Gave great recommendations. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. Eight of us stayed in his home for a family wedding in Arcata. It was spacious and we did not feel crowded. The town of Ferndale is very cute and quaint. Beautiful Victorians and cute shops. Lots to do in surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

The cottage was a quaint, comfortable and convenient home base for our family of 3 to explore Ferndale, Arcata and Humboldt Redwoods. There was plenty of room for our little one to run around inside and in the backyard. The living room was a cozy hangout spot in the evenings. Having laundry on site was a huge convenience with a toddler. The hostess Diana is lovely and responsive. Although we discovered upon arrival that there was a guest house in the backyard, it was separated by a privacy fence and was of no disturbance or inconvenience to us. The proximity to Ferndale's main street made for many lovely morning and early evening walks into town. Overall a peaceful and relaxing stay.

The cottage was an amazing and peaceful getaway. The photos of it were beautiful but in person… even more beautiful! It has been done so well and it is so aesthetically pleasing everywhere you look. It is so quiet and every morning we were greeted by the gorgeous surroundings and the sounds only being in nature can provide. Cassandra was so sweet when we met her upon arrival. She had great recommendations for where to eat and things to see while we were in the area. She is truly a kind soul. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to go back! 💗

Tina’s house was huge and in a beautiful location. The majority of the state in this area is redwood forrest, however Tina’s place is in a very rural flat land farm town surrounded by fields of farm animals. Her house is a mere 10 minutes off the 101, which is 25 or so minutes to Avenue of the Giants (which we stayed here for that half-marathon) and 15 minutes to Eurkeka. We loved the remoteness of the house. There are cows on property and workers driving around the area, however that didn’t bother us at all. We initially booked this place as we expected to have another couple staying with us, however they bailed, so it was just my wife and I. The place was massive for just two of us. We didn’t really even use the second half of the house. The wood burning fireplace was nice, if not a bit difficult to figure out how to work. Central heating was perfect as it was a bit chilly in the area as well. We also LOVED the tiny town of Ferndale. It’s exactly what you hope for. Thank you!
