Enjoy the view of the river from the cottage, own sauna/jetty, take a swim or a boat or canoe ride in the peaceful Black River. Go paddleboarding, sunbathe, read a book and enjoy the view and tranquility. Proximity to nature reserve, berry and mussel picking, fishing and swimming areas with sandy beach. Also close to the cozy resort of Grythyttan with cobblestone streets, service, café, gelateria and high-class gastronomy.

FredrikLars farm at Nordmarksbergs Mansion

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Unique and cozy home in newly renovated old plant for rafts. Timber floating took place over many years on the creeks in the area until the 60 's. The nearest neighbor is a beaver family in the creek next door. Swimming area with pier approx. 600 meters. Rowing boat and 2 canoes can be freely disposed of in Lake Bosjön. It is very sparse traffic in the area so you experience the silence along with the sounds of nature. Bedding and towels are provided for a cost of SEK 100/person. Wooden fire sauna by the lake can be rented.

Welcome to a cozy 40 m2 cottage in a small countryside village, close to forests, hills and lakes. If you are looking for a comfortable living in the middle of nature for you and your family, this is a nice choice. The accommodation includes one canoe that can fit 3 adults. Life jackets and paddles also included. Walking distance to the lake and river. Transport of canoe to other lakes can be arranged for a small fee.
