Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Fluvanna County

What a gorgeous spot! 20 minutes from UVA, you’re right down the road from Monticello in beautiful wine country. The house is sparkling clean with all the amenities you could possibly need. The kitchen is HUGE, and the open floor plan really makes for a fun weekend with friends/family. We had a much needed Mom’s weekend, and really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and taking in the woods around us. Jason was very helpful and friendly in his communication, we would definitely love to come back.

This was a great place to stay with plenty of room for our larger family to attend a graduation ceremony. We were hardly there, so we didn't get to enjoy the game room space or the beautiful outdoor area.

What a beautiful oasis in Kents Store. Located approximately 5 miles from I 64 right between Short Pump and Charlottesville, Wendy has created a gorgeous and sweet retreat. Lots of thoughtful details, gorgeous finishes and comfy vibes. An adorable kitchen with everything you need. She provided tea, coffee, spices, water, snacks and even a s’more kit for outdoor fire pit area. Lots of towels, wash clothes, makeup remover packets…she’s thought of everything. One of my favorite features was the bird feeders she has located right outside the big picture window. I was treated to a constant show of vibrantly colored yellow finches, cardinals, and other lovely birds. The cottage is lovely and reasonably priced. I would recommend her delightful place to anyone.

So many Airbnbs in the region promise peace and quiet but this one truly delivers on that. Your closest neighbours will be curious deer walking by the firepit, turtles sunning themselves by the river or the countless songbirds in the trees. As others have said a more robust car would be preferable for the driveway, especially in winter, but it was fine for us in a Cherokee

We spent the Christmas Holiday at Nathaniel's listing and it was wonderful. His dog friendly house was in a great location, and we had a personalized welcome note and wine! The house even had a Christmas tree and light decor. We enjoyed the fire pit, and left some fire starter wood for the nexts guests. WiFi was not spotty at all, and the yard was very well kept. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to be back!

Perfect place to stay for a weekend away and a wedding venue close by!

This place is a hidden gem in Troy VA, it gives peace to stay away from city life. Place is clean and sufficient for 4-5 families with kids. Walmart and other restaurants are close by. There are some domestic animals like goat outside the boundary, kids enjoyed feeding them. We really enjoyed our stay.

Such a great space with everything you need. You’ll enjoy your view in the comfort of the space. The view and the environment were great but having a place to be comfortable in was even better.

Very cozy and cute stay close to Charlottesville! It’s super close to town and easy to ride share. Property is very peaceful and relaxing to be at.

Henry’s place was a wonderful home base for our weekend trip to Charlottesville. The apartment was spotless, and the view is beautiful. They provide a binder of local recommendations, which we found very helpful. We had planned to spend some time in Charlottesville/south of Charlottesville for one day, and towards the Afton area for another day - Henry’s place is perfectly situated between both of those areas. He was always quickly responsive as well. Perfect for a stay in Charlottesville- thanks Henry!

Absolutely perfect place. In town for a concert and celebrate our anniversary. This place had everything described plus so many thoughtful extras.

This is a very comfortable, clean, and beautiful place. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. I especially loved the second floor, on nice days, I really enjoyed the sunlight there. The large windows offer a great view of the outdoors. The hosts are very friendly and provided detailed instructions for everything along with restaurant recommendations. They were very responsive and quick to answer any questions, which made everything so easy. Their warmth and kindness created such a welcoming atmosphere, and they paid attention to every little detail to ensure a comfortable stay. I truly enjoyed my time here. I would have loved to extend my stay, but unfortunately, the place was already booked for the following days. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

Beautiful scenery. Lovely roads to walk up and down. We were too cold for the pool, but got plenty of use out of the fire pit. We enjoyed ourselves. There were a couple kinks along the way, but the host always responded when we reached out and addressed our concerns right away.

Words cannot describe the feeling of pure calm that comes over you when you arrive. This place is truly a treasure hidden in the woods. Once you cross the creek you leave the world and all your cares behind. The host pays attention to all the little details and it shows. We have stayed at quite a few places but this one is on our return list. We look forward to sliding up for a long weekend in the late fall or early winter. (Tip- be sure to spend 15 min reading the welcome package it is time well spent).

This is our second year in a row that we stayed here for our annual family retreat (me, my wife and adult children with their partners). We loved it the first time and it was every bit as good the second. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting tucked away in the woods with a mountain view. We spent most of our time during the day out on the decks, which were very comfortable with plenty of seating, outdoor couches and tables. We also took advantage of the fire pit. The house is actually much larger in size than how it looks . There is a good-sized living room with huge couch and large TV. Everyone had private rooms, which were very clean and comfortable with excellent furnishings. The kitchen was fully supplied for our cooking needs. Whenever we had a question Breanna was very quick to respond. If you're looking for a true getaway, I highly recommend staying here.

This was our FOURTH year at Lighthouse Cove, and it was better than ever! This feels like home at the lake; warm and inviting with all needs covered, but clear of clutter. The forecast looked wet during our whole stay, but that quickly changed and we were out in the lake daily! The floating lily pad this year was a total game changer!! If you have kids def take advantage of it and the beach area/playground 2 doors over. The beds are extremely comfortable, and bathrooms well equipped with tons of towels and complimentary shampoo/wash. The second fridge is always utilized and the huge island and full length pantry are perfect for ALL the snacks! Toula is so sweet and responsive to any and all questions. She’s a fantastic host! Can’t wait for year #5!

Sarah’s place is simply adorable! My husband and I felt right at home and wished we could have stayed longer. We loved it and hope to come back again soon.

It rained the entire stay. While we had expected better weather, you cannot beat the windows and the sound of the rain on the roof, for a great getaway atmosphere. We loved it.

Great little place! 20 min drive to entrance to Shenandoah National Park. We used the fire pit every night, but still had a luxurious shower and smart TVs to use :) loved it

We had the best time and can’t wait to go back! Ashleigh and the whole family were so sweet and welcoming. The cabin was quiet and comfortable and peaceful, and getting up each day to paddle on the lake and see all the animals made such fun memories for our kids. Ashleigh went out of her way to make sure we had a chance to hold the adorable bunnies and meet and feed all the animals. We loved the clever little farm store next door for muffins and games for the kids. The care that goes into every detail is very evident.

This is a lovely tranquil hideaway for the weary traveler! I loved gently roughing it at the sweet and very cozy cob home—outdoor kitchen was a delight! Hosts were very accommodating when road snafus had me arriving late 🌈🙏🏼 Slept like a log!! A restorative stop for anyone on the road!
