Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Folly Beach

The house was perfect for my family for our vacation. We were close enough to everything we wanted to do while being out of the hustle and bustle of city life. Hoping to get to Charleston again in the future and would definitely stay here again, as long as it would be available. We had the best time!

Joe & Claire were great hosts, very personable. Stayed 5 nites in late April/early May. Beautiful location: decks on all levels/sides, sweeping views of marsh in back, high up views of ocean across street in front. Many perfect spots to sit depending on sun & wind. Great views of sunrise & sunset, lighthouse, etc. Furnishings comfortably accommodated gatherings for our family of 5 adults, tastefully decorated too. Kitchen well equipped, beach chairs/towels provided. Besides food/drink/personal items, can’t think of anything we wanted that wasn’t already there. We experienced one significant house utility issue that disrupted our stay, outside anyone’s control. Joe had it repaired and equitably resolved the impact to us. Location next best thing to beachfront, beach access just 100yd down road. Peacefully removed from busy central Folly Beach town area and just 5min ride to many casual restaurant/entertainment options there. Also easy 30min trip to Charleston for exploring and dinner.

This was our second stay at Maryellen’s place and it proved to be another great week. The home has all that you need to enjoy folly to the max. We hope to be back again soon.

This was perfect for our friend’s trip! The outdoor shower was a big hit and the house itself is so cozy. We had the best time thank you!

We experienced an unexpected' water event during our stay(~6+ inches of rain. Water seeped ubder the patio door and Lise quickly sent help to remove the water and dry towels to replace the ones we used to sop up the water and quickly reimburse us for the sand bags we bought to stop the water flow. We have just one suggestion - add a mirror in front bedroom. We loved the yard. And patios. It was perfect for our reunion. In summery, GREAT PLACE AND LOCATION.

Great location. Exactly like pics. Easy walk to beach. Loved the screened in deck and back deck. Spacious dining area and living area.

It’s was our beautiful second stay and we will be back for for sure we always appreciate staying at there home

Beautiful home, we would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Place was clean and nice. Location was fantastic. Lots of food and drink in walking distance. Beach was never crowded because the public could not get in through the Sea Cabins entrance.

Erikatina’s place was a great little space to stay for our time to explore Charleston. She was always very quick to respond to any questions. If we’re ever back in Charleston we’ll try to rent her place again.

This place is great!!! Fantastic location right on the downtown main street with tons of great restaurants, etc, but is upstairs and private and reasonably quiet. Really liked their decor, host was very proactive as well. I'll definitely be staying here whenever I'm in the Charleston area

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was amazing, super walkable to the beach and a very easy drive to downtown Charleston. Brian was a wonderful host- the amenities and accommodations were great! Everything was clearly labeled throughout the place making it easy to use everything, and he also provided bikes, sunscreen, and beach supplies. We will absolutely be trying to stay here anytime we come to the area.

I loved everything about this beautiful property, they have everything that you need , it’s very kid friendly, looks just like the pictures and I love that this house is rooted in God !

The location is great, with a beach access right in front of the house. Downtown is a short drive away but you can also walk, which removes the need to park. The place is old but functional.

The place was perfect. It was clean, cozy, and exactly as described! Julia and Joan were wonderful hosts, incredibly kind and helpful from start to finish. Their communication was top-notch, and all the thoughtful touches around the place made the stay feel very comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Airbnb Mary Ann is an excellent host. She was very thoughtful from the beginning giving us a lot of additional information about places to go and helpful suggestions. Her place is very clean and cozy in quite and friendly neighborhood. We felt like we are visiting our friends. She had many little useful details in the bathroom, kitchen, and even outside. We had everything we need to enjoy our stay. Each of the things we wanted to do in the Charleston area was only about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. Elizabeth responded quickly to questions. She is friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed her condo so much we extended our stay. The condo itself was very clean and exactly as advertised. Very close to private pier and beach. Was nice to go to the beach without the crowds of public beaches. Very close to Patriotic Point, Forts Sumpter and Moultrie. Many restaurants within walking distance. We hope to make it back next year!

Two words: absolutely wonderful! Felt right at home the moment we walked in. It was exactly as pictured and described. Close to everything. 20 minutes from Charleston and 5 min drive to ocean. Beautiful water views from porch. Also enjoyed time at the pool. Fully stocked kitchen. We will be returning again.

Super cute outdoor areas made Fire Tower a great place to stay. It’s nearly on King’s Street where all the night life is. So many fun places! The historic Charleston is just a short walk, uber or rickshaw ride away. We are in our 60’s and enjoyed the walking to offset the fabulous food and drink everywhere. Great trip. Would stay again!

This is a fantastic condo on IOP. Walkable, clean, and Robert was very helpful with requests and communications.

Everything was awesome. The only negative was we didn’t end up getting check-in access until about 5pm the first day, but we did get an hour later checkout. Would stay again for sure

We stayed here for my graduation weekend and absolutely loved it. The place was super cute, very clean, and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location, close to Folly Beach but still peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. It was the perfect spot to celebrate with my family. Highly recommend!

Great apartment right near Folly Beach. On fourth floor with good views, no elevator so you need to be able to carry what you need up stairs. On main road but high enough that it’s quiet. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. About 20 min drive from Charleston, and a bit more to Mt Pleasant, where you can take the ferry to Fort Sumter, tour the Yorktown, etc. Lots of tourists on weekend in main part of town, which is about a 5 min drive. Lots of places to eat nearby, as well as a couple grocery stores on way in. Very comfortable stay!

It was clean and we liked the house and the island, the pool and beach were great too. Be sure to order your amenity card at least two weeks before check in if you would like to swim or use other amenities the first day you check in, otherwise you may not be able to get the amenity card right away.
