In 2024, this estate was transferred from a centuries-old family tradition to the Drenths landscape. Partly to preserve the estate, it was decided to partially convert it into an attractive B&B. Come and stay with the friendly hostess who will welcome you and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Walden ligt temidden van het unieke coulissen landschap de Friese wouden. Bomen, heggen en houtwallen omzomen de weilanden. Met daartussen graslanden, water en stukjes bos. Het ziet er knus uit, die grasvelden tussen de bomen. Smûk, zeggen we in het Fries. Hier leven wel 250 soorten vogels en veel andere dieren. Vanuit de ijstijd kreeg het gebied ook nog eens pingo’s cadeau. Gelegen temidden van 2 Nationale parken; Lauwersmeer en de Alde Feannen. Ideaal fiets en wandelgebied.

Overnight stay on the alpaca pasture! We would like to invite you to relax with us in the Moorhus, to spend the night and enjoy the peace and quiet. The small construction trailer has a fully equipped kitchen, a sofa bed for 2 people and a separate bathroom including a shower with warm water. You can enjoy your breakfast on the outdoor terrace and relax by the campfire in the evening. The area is especially popular with cyclists, canoeists and hikers.

Waking up overlooking the dining room of a herd of horses living in freedom, 2 pigs making their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by. Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no WiFi and no TV. There is a large table to play games together and a lovely sofa to drink a glass of wine together. There is a shower and toilet in the farmhouse 20 steps away for your own use.
