The Hut was originally built for Queen Mary, the wife of King George V, who enjoyed lunching here during her visits to Balmoral. The Clearing is a tranquil eco house that sleeps 6 and also a hidden gallery of original artwork. Our closest town is Huntly which has a castle, golf course, swimming pool,supermarkets, places to eat, and a newly built cinema and café. With a short drive you'll find the area bursts with castles, picturesque coastlines, quaint historic villages, antiquities, golf courses, fishing, distilleries, galleries, children’s activity centres, glorious walks, bike trails, skiing and much more besides.

Cosy old cottage, close to Huntly train station

A quiet, end-terrace cottage in Huntly, off the main streets but in easy walking distance to the train station and town centre. The cosy living room is fitted with an efficient log burning stove, and you will find a basket of wood on your arrival. The kitchen is located at the back of the building with access to a small, enclosed garden perfect for a slow breakfast in the sun or an evening drink on the lawn. The bathroom is accessible via a stairways upstairs. We look forward to hosting you!

Below a pond and tucked behind a hedgerow on the edge of a permaculture smallholding, our charming shepherds hut is the perfect hideaway for those looking for an eco farm stay or self-made retreat. 'Muggans' (named after the Mugwort that grows by the steps) is entirely off-grid and has everything you'll need for a comfortable and memorable getaway, including a wood burning stove to keep you cozy, a wood fired hot tub to soak in under the stars and pizza oven for luxury campfire cooking.

A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
