The local area to the cottage is lovely and has some great walks for days when you don’t want to drive far. Mary is a very helpful host and there is lots of useful information in the house itself.

I’ve stayed at hundreds of holiday rentals and this is certainly one of the very best. If you want a quaint cottage experience in an idyllic location that keeps you mesmerized; if you want peace and tranquility to read a book and every now and then look up and drink in a sublime landscape, if you want somewhere to cook and share meals and spend quality time together without distraction - this is it. Great host. Excellent communication. Spotlessly clean. Everything in great condition. Very well appointed. The only drawback is that it is usually full!

We had the most enjoyable four day stay at Alison’s loft; warm, comfortable, well equipped and in the most peaceful surroundings in a stunning landscape. Waking up to the cuckoo calling every morning was an added bonus. The welcome basket of milk, bread and local beer was well received! A definite 5-star stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Rachel’s place on Skye! The house was exactly like the photos - clean, modern, and comfortable. Rachel was a great host, quick to respond and very welcoming. The dishwasher (with separate cutlery tray), strong shower, and fast Wi-Fi were all great. The huge garden was a bonus, we even saw a deer! The view is stunning, and on clear days you can spot the Old Man of Storr from the street. The house feels new and the bed is comfy, though bring a sleep mask if you're light-sensitive as it doesn't get very dark at night. Only thing we missed was a microwave, but heating food in a pan worked fine. Parking was easy, and we really appreciated the fresh bread, coffee, and tea waiting for us. We even had a nice chat with Rachel and her lovely kids. Thanks again for everything, including the Sticky Willy! We’d love to come back. Five stars: well deserved!

We had a wonderful stay at Skye! The cottage was everything we hoped it would be, beautiful interior and such a lovely location with a gorgeous view. We had some thoughtful gifts on arrival from our hosts and a great guide book for all the local places to go and visit. Would definitely book this cottage again if we are ever back in Skye, thank you :)
