Located 12 km from Vals-les-Bains, a thermal spa, you will find many amenities: grocery stores, bakeries, butchers, restaurants, ice cream parlor, markets, etc. Within the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d 'Ardèche, you will enjoy: rivers, hikes, canyoning, mountain biking and cultural visits as well as many leisure activities.

The three arched windows have recently been replaced by new, large windows. It now feels like you are sitting inside the view. In the morning you will be awakened by the bells of the sheep and the cheerful swallows. There is no rush here. A 10-minute drive to the Thermal Baths in Vals les Bains.

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .
