Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Gentilly, New Orleans

This place was perfect. Clean when we walked in, not far from French Quarter so when we were ready to socialize we could but it was so quiet at the Airbnb it was perfect when you were over it! Every thing you need is walkable. This place was perfect and will be my go to when I come back!

The home was beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. We all enjoyed the stay. The pics don’t do the home justice. The color and layout is lovely

This place was amazing. The perfect spot for a couple trying to get away. Ferry is close by and allowed transport back-and-forth from downtown pretty convenient. If we had a question, it was answered quickly. Love the place. Definitely would stay here again hands-down. Cozy. Comfortable. 🩷

Aimee and Klass have the perfect spot for your NOLA trip. The space is large, open and comfortable. It was a great place to hang out after a busy day as well as great for taking a break between excursions. The space was impeccable and had everything we needed! The location is top notch, too! There are tons of local shops and cafes in walking distance and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Aimee and Klass were the friendliest hosts, always reaching out to make sure we were having a great stay. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in New Orleans.

We had a great stay here for the jazz festival. Within walking distance of the fairgrounds and great little coffee shops near by. Location was great for our stay. The air bnb itself looked exactly like the pictures and had everything we needed. Water pressure wasn’t the best but doable for all the other great features. Truly enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend!

The house was beautiful - if anything, I feel like it *exceeded* my expectations. Super spacious, lovingly decorated, all that good stuff. And the location was perfect, too; close to everything you want to be close to, but with enough privacy to get a good night's sleep. But that's just the house itself. Jason & Michelle were INCREDIBLE hosts. Just extraordinarily accommodating/communicative. I had a kinda wacky shipping request (due to my line of work/reason for being there), and Michelle wasn't just "okay with it", she was my dang partner in the whole ordeal. Simply above and beyond. I wouldn't just recommend this spot to a pal; I would chastise them for going elsewhere. 6 stars!!! <3

This was our first experience renting an Airbnb, so we weren't sure what to expect. Ray's place was amazing! It was very inviting and cozy. We're used to hotels - you know, the kind where doors are slammed, you got kids running up and down the halls screaming and it's impossible to sleep in. That was not an issue at Ray's. The neighborhood was very diverse and quiet, and sleeping in a little wasn't an issue. When we were looking for recommendations for food, he sent over a list and when we left some items behind, he kindly called and let us know. We can't wait to visit NoLa again and if available, rent Ray's place! Our only concern is that we're gonna be let down at any future Airbnb's because our experience with Ray was just that good! Do yourself and book with him! And if you do, tell him we sent you!

We had a great stay it’s a very clean place and the beds were really comfortable! They left books with plenty of recommendations for restaurants and things to do around town and advice for our visit aswell ! Definitely had a great stay and will recommend them to anyone needing an Airbnb in NOLA!

Stayed here as we were passing through the state and looking for a quick but potent New Orleans experience. Adam’s home was the perfect combination of comfortable amount of space for three people, a location with plenty of options for food and entertainment, within walking distance or a short drive, and relaxation with a relatively quiet neighborhood feel. We felt safe and the parking was available right out the front door which were big pluses for us. The home was well stocked and the communication with the hosts was the cherry on top. Exceptional!

Layla was such a lovely host! She went above and beyond to help me celebrate my friend’s birthday, including helping me coordinate a cake delivery and even setting it up prior to our arrival AND setting up extra decorations (without me knowing - how sweet)! She also was extremely responsive prior and throughout. The space was very clean and well thought out, and even though it’s below where the family lives, it felt very private. We felt safe and cared for. I’d highly recommend this space!

A group of 5 of us (4 adults and 1 infant) were in town for a few days, and stayed in a unit on the second floor. Super easy check-in, exactly as detailed in the instructions. The unit was clean, in good condition, and very roomy even for a group of 5. Huge plus was there was a pack n play and high chair in the room already, which was a huge help for our little one. Location is amazing- you can easily walk to the French quarter, tons of great restaurants/attractions, etc. Beds and bedding were extremely comfy. If I have to nitpick, there is one chair in the living room that felt like it could fall apart at any moment; I would recommend replacing that. Would have liked to have had more towels provided, but there is a washer and dryer in unit, so no big deal there. There is a lot of natural light, including large windows near the ceiling of both bedrooms, so can get bright in there early in the mornings. All in all, amazing stay. Would stay here again next time I’m in NOLA

Shirley and Minka are very detailed in their description of finding the place and how to check in and check out. Everything was a described. They send instructions and details a few days earlier than when you arrive, which is great! I loved that there were places they recommended for shopping and eating. Wonderful hosts. I will stay again if they'll have me back. Thank you so much!

Laura's place was perfect for our recent visit to New Orleans. It is in a quiet neighborhood with great restaurants within walking distance. We never had a problem finding a place to park. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. We will definitely be staying there again.

The apartment is just as shown and described. We particularly like the location because it is close enough to the action without being in the midst of it. Michelle was very responsive when one of the small kitchen appliances quit working. She had a new one to us in no time!

I had a family emergency and had to fly into the area (30miles out of N.O.). My last night I decided to stay close to MSY due to projected higher than normal TSA wait times (7am flight). Stayed here for 1-night and I will return whenever I’m in N.O. Roughly less than 10mins from the airport. The unit was clean, private, and safe!

Was absolutely worth the stay! Would come again. The location is absolutely perfect, and we felt reasonably priced all things considered. It was a little hard to get in since we didn’t have the right codes at first, but Kimberly was super responsive and reset the door right away. Thanks so much for making our trip even better!

this property was modern and beautiful! it was open, white and gave a majestic feeling. the long entry hallway was some5hing from a movie. two of the bedrooms had balconies. as well as ceiling to floor windows expanding from the dining room to the living room. The views from all are gorgeous. The location was amazing as it was about a 15 min walk to Bourbon street and many of the tourists locations. The host was responsive, as well. usually within 5 mins of an inquiry. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment if you're going to be in town amd want to stretch out in comfort.

This was our second time staying in Joseph's place, and we would definitely stay there again. We love the location on Esplanade, which is an easy walk to either the French Quarter or Frenchman Street. There's a 24-hour bodega right next door that is well-stocked and friendly. Joseph offers a parking pass which makes all the difference for people like us who love the option of having a car to explore other parts of the City. The condo was comfortable and pretty, with the extra bonus of a balcony overlooking Esplanade. This is a second-floor unit so there are stairs to the entrance; there are also stairs to the bedroom and bathroom, but there's a half bath on the main floor which is very convenient. We're both used to stairs so it didn't bother us a bit. In all, we highly recommend Joseph as a host and his condo as an excellent choice for an Airbnb.
