This is a magical place! Beautiful surroundings and off the beaten path. This is a great place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. There’s great restaurants seconds away, my kids played in the lovely river, and the house was immaculate. We would love to come back! FYI stairs are steep to the sleeping area but wasn’t a big deal for us as our children are older. The host was so accommodating! She let us check out late. Thank you!!

I have no words to describe how good our experience was at this apartment. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was spacious and clean. I felt like it fully encompassed the Japanese living experience. Mikiko was kind and friendly, always answering our questions and giving us recommendations for things that we wanted to do. Thank you so much! We will be back :).

Townhouse in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto
4.97 out of 5 average rating, 126 reviewsKyoto Seifu-an is a stylish and traditional Kyomachi-style inn that is clean and has modern facilities

One of the nicest experiences in Kyoto - very memorable. The place was beautifully detailed and spotlessly clean. Our host Dawa met us at arrival and always responded to every message. Cannot praise this place as an experience in itself of Kyoto. In a quiet little laneway about 20 metres to the channel with close access to everything one would want including close to Subway and walkable to many attractions.

A pleasant stay. Spacious room, great location with easy access to subway station and local amenities(including a big supermarket nearby). Staff are helpful and fast to reply. Couldn’t ask for more.
