Bright living space with walk out to wrap around deck! 1/2 acre yard with a fire pit, surrounded by privacy from mature trees. Steps to the lake, at the end of a quiet bay. Take the canoes for a paddle and try the bass fishing. Prime territory for fall leaves! Immediate access to walking/biking/ATV trails. My friends and I had a great time at Elias' cottage! The cottage was so comfortable with plenty of seating room, enough bedrooms (with super comfy beds!), and a great screened in porch. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather, but we spent the majority of our time in the covered hot tub which was amazing. We look forward to coming back soon!!

Very cozy cabin. Has everything you could need, all what you have to bring is your clothings. We even had the chance to taste their homemade maple syrup! Close enough to Bancroft but still tranquil, nobody can access the cabin but you. We saw people stopping by on the otherside of the lake but it feels OK and not invading, it is far enough to not care. Wildlife was abundant. We did not have much mosquitoes or annoying bugs outside and literally none inside. We went there as a couple with a dog and, once used to the space the cabin offers, did not feel squeezed, although it is not huge. Hosts were very kind and responsive. If you like small, serene and cozy places, this is a must try.

Alexander and Samantha’s little cottage get away was a wonderful experience. We were looking for a cozy weekend and we got what we want. The cottage was well furnished with all amenities required for a 3-4 day stay. Samantha was quick enough to respond to all our queries . We would love to come back and also would recommend to our friends and family.

This is a beautiful retreat - the only thing lacking is a wood fireplace to complete the feeling of cozy. Derek is a great host: we encountered wifi troubles within the first 5-10 minutes of our stay and Derek went out of his way to resolve them. We spent a lot of time just watching the wind move through the trees out the floor to ceiling windows. This is a great spot if you need some quiet time to connect with a partner or nature or yourself and refocus. Will be recommending to friends and family and visit again if we're in the Haliburton area!

This bunkie and the woods it's in is a special place. The property is private and peaceful. We we had fires every night. The bed is super comfortable for being off grid and "roughing" it. Host was always super helpful, we will definitely be back again.
