Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Goonhavern

After a recent stay, I have no hesitation in recommending this place. It is beautifully equipped and close to many of Cornwall's fantastic locations. If you are using your car satnav just be aware that, unless you have updated your maps, it may not know about the new A30 which could lead to some confusion!

We were visiting Perranporth to visit family who lived locally. The property was ideal . The kitchen was well equipped with double oven, fridge & freezer dishwasher etc. A lovely dining room, comfortable lounge and the conservatory provided magnificent views across the village and bay to the golf course opposite. There were also tables and chairs strategically situated in the garden to take advantage of the sun as well as proving good viewing points. For anyone wishing to park up and use local transport the bus stop for busses to Newquay and Truro were a few steps away. The village with cafes, pubs and beach on the doorstep. Miranda provided excellent information regarding location of the premises , how t access the property and making use of the facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights in the house.

We stayed for the weekend as a family of 6 adults. We had plenty of space and had everything in the place we could possibly have needed. Location is wonderful for visiting Perranporth and surrounding areas and the view is just perfect. The property is at the top of a steep hill so may not be walkable for everyone but it’s only a very quick car journey and that gets you straight into the town.

Had a lovely and peaceful stay. Cheryl was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was exactly as described and what we had hoped for. Will defo go back when we can.

Just returned from a lovely weeks stay at the Gem and everything about it was perfect - fully equipped, spotless + great location. In walking distance to some lovely restaurants in town or Fistral beach and Crantock beach. It is also a great location to explore other costal towns in Cornwall. If you have a paddleboard or Kayak I would recommend taking it as you can walk straight down to the waters edge from the property. Overall this was a 10/10 stay.

What a fabulous week we’ve had and Andreas place topped it off. The caravan was in a great location, all as described and easy to arrange. Andrea is super quick to respond and the goodies on arrival were a much welcome treat after a long drive. My first time to Cornwall and I’ll be going back! A few things others haven’t mentioned; there is a bus stop outside the park however times can be a bit hit and miss, the walks on the doorstep offer the best views and only took 10-15 mins into Perranporth, I would add as we didn’t do our homework properly - we travelled with my 81 yr old mum and some of the terrain was a bit challenging. Anyone interested in riding we would recommend Reen Stables just opposite the park, brilliant communication and reasonable prices and very well looked after horses, I would suggest booking in advance. We also did kayaking and sea orienteering with Newquay Activity Centre who were also very good. No internet and poor signal was frustrating but we knew before book

Barbara's house is wonderful. It has a stunning view over Mawgan Porth beach and you can walk down to the beach via the dunes. Sitting on the balcony in the evening enjoying the view is a treat! The house itself is lovely - compact but it has everything you need. Barbara is a very responsive and helpful host. I would very happily stay again!

The Lodge is absolutely lovely. It had everything I needed in it. Mark is friendly and approachable. He left breakfast bits, shower gel and shampoo in The Lodge. Would happily stay again.

‘The Lookout’ was the perfect place to stay to explore St Agnes. The property had everything you could think of, it really was a home from home. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Barry gave us a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and gave us some great recommendations. We really look forward to returning in the future!

Felt like a lovely private space with a lovely smartly kept garden which caught the sunshine in the evenings when I returned from work. Comfy bed, good shower, well laid out living space. (And the garden was perfect for my pooch). Lovely. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

As soon as we walked through that door we could see the beautiful sea and we were just in awe of the place. The location is 10/10, the apartment is stunning and so quiet and we didn’t really notice that we had neighbours which was lovely and made it feel private which is what we look for in a place. Cornwall as whole as well is just stunning and we HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking at it. We have found a special place and we will hopefully come back again and again. This is our happy place. We were so sad to leave as we had such a beautiful holiday. A lot of special memories made. The parking was very good, covered and easy to use, self check in is favourable, the checking in and out time is reasonable and the communication was very good. The train is so useful and we actually enjoyed watching that go by, the walking is amazing, the beach is beautiful, the views from the window and patio are amazing. The sofas and bed are very comfortable which is rare. Thank you so much.

It is a great space this airbnb has been understated. I have just left Nigels very large accomodation to arrive at my next airbnb only to find it bijou to be polite! and certainly not in such a lovely location. In comparison this similarly priced accomodation woud fit into Nigels 5 times.

Another wonderful stay at the lovely spindrift, It’s very much home from home, lovely and cosy, great location and Kim is always on call if you need anything. I look forward to many more visits in the future

We had a lovely week in Emily & Matt's flat. We liked that you can walk into town but also to Fistral beach & quieter areas. Great views - I enjoyed relaxing, reading in the bay window. I treated myself to swim & breakfast at Headland hotel (special offer).

It is almost under the viaduct but there is almost no sound from trains so do not let that put you off even if a light sleeper. Very convenient location for the centre of town.

My daughter and I stayed for a few days and the apartment was perfect. Great location, very close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Apartment was clean, tidy and looked exactly like the photos. View was beautiful! Has everything you would need. Paul was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. We had an amazing few days in St Ives and will definitely be staying at the apartment again in the future.

100% would recommend!! Beautiful house, perfect location for the beach, town and supermarkets. Laura is a lovely and caring host. Would love to stay again, couldn’t ask for more. 😊😊😊

We were lucky enough to spend seven days in Beth's beautiful apartment. Now we say goodbye with a smile and a tear in our eye. The tear in our eye says "time to say goodbye," even though we don't want to leave just yet. The smile in our eye expresses our enthusiasm for our stay. We received a warm welcome; we lacked nothing. Beth has thought of everything. The apartment is a dream. And so is the view from the terrace. You could spend hours there, unwinding and watching the hustle and bustle on the beach. If you don't know Perranporth, you should definitely visit this little town. But even if you want to come back again, you should let this accommodation convince you. A big thank you to Beth and Mark.

Just want to say a massive thankyou again! We had a lovely time staying at Blue View and the flat had everything we needed. It was very clean, well equipped & the views are to die for!! The pool was heated so I was able to take my 4 month old son in there who loved it! Kirsten & Ben are very friendly and even had the flat ready for us a couple of hours before the usual check in time :D we will definitely be back next year! X

This is a fabulous and comfortable apartment from which to explore Newquay and Cornwall. With water views, a great open plan living, dining and kitchen space and a generous bedroom, it had everything we needed for a 7 night stay. The hosts were welcoming and generous. This is one of the best bnbs we have stayed in.

Such a lovely little bolt hole! Our hosts were really flexible with our delayed check-in, and super friendly. The accommodation was spotless, peaceful, and full of very convenient features, making use of a small space. An easy 10 minute walk to the beach or town. I would highly recommend this place, it's perfect for 1 or 2 people
