Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Grant County

Beautiful location with graat and easy access to the amazing towns of Thomas and Davis as well as the beautiful Canaan Valley and surrounding region. Zygmund was a wonderful host who took my numerous mistakes in stride working with me to resolve them. Communication was an absolute breeze. I highly recommend this location and host!

Before arriving Josh gave clear instructions on entering and when we got there the house was just perfect. Nice bathroom on the first floor and the living room is nice that goes opens up to the nice deck. The beds are very comfortable and clean. This place is very close to Canaan valley resort and black water falls park. We were there for a wedding in the area. But we could have been able to do so much because it’s all very close. Thank you Josh for making this a very nice experience.

David was a wonderful host with a cozy cabin. David was not only responsive, but he was also prophylactic in the way of having a few lists at the cabin with various easy to understand instructions, local eateries, and activities. The cabin itself had nearly anything you could think of and more in terms of amenities. We would definitely have David host us again in the future.

What a wonderful place to spread out and relax! I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the place was, and particularly loved the well equipped kitchen. It was so convenient for hiking Seneca Rocks and heading to the Dolly Sods the following morning. The WiFi is great at Janie’s house, but be aware that you will not be able to get signal for the last 20-30 min of the drive (or maybe I just have terrible service?) so just plan accordingly.

We had a family get together in remembrance of my father in law who grew up in VW. The house and setting were perfect for this occasion.

The name says it all- it is a crooked house! It was nice that it felt like someone’s real home rather than your typical cheaply and hastily done air bnb. It’s not the fanciest place in the world, but was very comfortable for our stay. We could walk to lots of things to do in Davis and our dog enjoyed the small fenced in area. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was perfect! Location was great, extremely easy to find and close to everything that we had planned for this trip. Beds were comfy and the fans were a added bonus (cant sleep without them). Unfortunately, with our limited time, we were not able to take advantage of the beautiful back porch. Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect location- comfortable vibe. Lovely decor. Alison was superb. The bed was comfortable. We loved walking to all the things. Our car didn’t move! However, with the convenience of being in town and able to walk anywhere comes noise. Typically I wouldn’t turn a TV on, so not having one wouldn’t be an issue, however I would have loved to have one to drown out the neighbors conversations. Literally, someone sneezed in another unit (or upstairs) and I said, bless you. They responded saying, “thanks.” 2 things would have made our stay perfect, a white noise machine, tv or Bluetooth speaker to drown out the noise and provide some semblance of privacy and a full-length mirror in the bedroom. Overall, I would recommend this place and will likely stay again. The convenience of being right in town coupled with the river and fire pits right outside was awesome. Next time, I will pack earplugs and a speaker!

What a great place to stay for a weekend getaway or for a week. Cozy, clean, energy efficient, and everything you need to cook a nice email and settle in after a day of hiking. Very close to the art scene in Thomas and great hikes in Dolly Sods Wilderness area.

The location of this apartment is very attractive. It's walkable to the main strip in Davis and the apartment is along the river. There is adequate outside seating which allows you to enjoy the view. The apartment is comfortable overall. The bed is cozy. This is a good place to stay if you don't plan on being in the apartment but rather outdoors, which most of us coming to Davis choose to do. I would highly recommend as it has everything you need and is overall quite nice. They allow pups which is great and the wifi works well (I was able to work remotely no problem). There are a few other apartments in the building, but everyone is respectful and there is no noise. There is also a nice river walk you can do with the pups. Very peaceful.

Loved our stay! Lowell was a great host, he was very responsive and accommodating. Great location with beautiful Mountain View’s! Peaceful surroundings and great set up for the house. Felt very homey and great Amenities! Can’t wait to come back for another stay!!

Blackwater Bed & Bikes was a great home base for exploring Davis! The apartment was clean and cozy. The host was super responsive and was on-site within 5 minutes when we had an issue, which she resolved quickly and cheerfully. She also proactively provided drinking water for us during a boil water advisory. The location is even better than the pictures and description. Great fire pits, a big grassy area for pups, and a gravel walking path right along the river. The town is super close and we took advantage of the restaurants and shops every day. They just opened a brand new dog-friendly outpost of Big Timber Brewing right next door, with great beers and good hours. You can also hike right into Blackwater Falls State Park - one of the viewing points for the waterfall was only an easy 2.5 mile walk from the property. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Lovely Memorial Day weekend, was super quiet, and right where we wanted to be for some great hiking. WiFi and TV worked great. Kitchen was a major plus with a great layout and plenty of space (Keurig and drip coffee maker for any who might be wondering). Bed was comfy and keyless entry is always a plus. Lura was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and are likely to return.

We had a wonderful long weekend in this charming apartment in a beautifully maintained resort. Perfect place for a couple, complete with fireplace and large jacuzzi tub. Cameron is an amazing host, super responsive and flexible. He generously offered us to check out later during a snow storm. My husband and I will definitely return to this lovely place!

Perfect place for the weekend at local lodge rates. The view was beautiful and quiet. The sleeping accommodations were easy and so comfortable. It was nice to have an apartment and not just a room. It was a short drive to any local attraction. We will definitely recommend to others.

Wonderful time visiting the Davis area and staying in this condo. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our host was easy to communicate with and available when needed. Hope to visit again soon.

Great base for hiking. The apartment set up was perfect for two couples. We really appreciated all the supplies, such as spices and bathroom accessories.

We had a great weekend staying at the condo! We stayed in A2 and the unit was extremely clean, nothing fancy but perfect for our family. It’s also conveniently located between Canaan and Timberline resorts. We would definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area.

The condos at Timberline are a standout location! It's steps to the 6x and quad lift - (maybe a 1 minute walk in ski boots). We lucked out and had it for a few days at a discounted rate at the tail end of the season. Even without that it's worth the normal cost. We were a family of 5, the condo worked great for our size of teenagers and middle schoolers. just like any week used location there are bond to be some quirks, but Jeff was available and had speedy remedies. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with dry goods and extras. 2 bathrooms a washer dryer, dishwasher and outdoor balcony were great to enjoy a week as a gas fireplace. The owners left a supply of boot pads that made it easy to keep everything clean after a day on the slopes. would totally recommend taking advantage of the friendly staff at Timberline, and the condos. Its a great family place. one point of recommendation is the convenience store (right turn onto the main road and 2-3 minutes)
