Lovely and peaceful, price was ideal for such a big house. Everything was thought about in this home, nothing was needed other than the food and drinks. Everyone had a great time. Cinema had a huge collection of dvds and ps4 games. Sauna was excellent. We were surprised when beautiful peacocks walked up the drive way. Thanks again. Carly & Family.

Had a lovely stay in the bothy and the location was perfect with a short walk into town! The bothy is fully equipped and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

Fantastic place for a family get together. Plenty of space and great location. Linda was great to deal with and would highly recommend staying at Balnacraig. Second time there and hopefully not the last.

Absolutely stunning place – peaceful, private, and beautifully maintained 🌿🌄 I had the most wonderful stay at this property. The entire space felt very private and peaceful, which made it the perfect escape. Everything was spotlessly clean, and you could really see the attention to detail in every corner – from the decor to the thoughtful little touches that made the stay extra special. Communication with the host was excellent – quick, friendly. This place is 100% worth recommending. I would absolutely love to return in the future, and I highly encourage anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful getaway to book this place. You won’t regret it!

The wee love nest was so cosy and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is like nothing I've seen before! Just such a beautiful place to be and nice little walks in the surrounding area. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and easy to chat to! 100% will be back in the future!

I had an amazing stay!The place was stunning,extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful with breathtaking views. All the amenities were exactly as described, and everything was clean and comfortable. The small town nearby (just a 10-minute drive) was charming and convenient for anything I needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay. Lovely comfy beds and a really homely feel about the cottage. We seen a red squirrel in the garden and lots of stags just outside crossing the river. We had dinner at the Fife Arms just along thr road and had a lovely walk too. Lovely friendly host too. Thanks Team Barbarella Beets

A truly magical place, our five days spent here was the highlight of our travels so far. Peaceful, serene, cozy and warm. The only downside to staying here was that it had to end. We hope to come back soon, before we head home for good, as an assured nest of relaxation and birdsong before the long flight home. The owner Janet is very lovely and helpful too, you will be in good hands.

This is a very comfortable, clean, homely place. It is airy but cosy. Lovely, roomy bedrooms with very comfortable beds and pristine bedding. Close to everything in Cromarty. A really relaxing home from home. Thank you Veronica, for a wonderful weekend

This is our 4th visit to Railway cottage and it won’t be our last. It’s well placed for driving in to Aviemore, Newtonmore, Kincraig and Kingussie and there are walks you can do from the door. It’s a cosy and welcoming place to stay and very comfortable. There are lots of activities on the nearby estates including quad biking, horse riding, zip wires, canyoning, clay pigeon shooting and archery. Lots of good places to eat too.

Great accomodation and location

A perfectly clean and comfortable apartment with good facilities. We really enjoyed our stay The co-op and chip shop around the corner were very useful! The village centre was a bit of a walk but the weather was so good it wasn’t a problem.

We stayed here for two nights before our return to the states to relax from our three weeks in Scotland. Pictures do not do it justice. So close to restaurants and pubs in town and the beach. Small lovely town and everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Next time I will spend more time here!

Although a little expensive, the views, and being in an Abbey was an amazing experience. We had plenty of room and the apartment had everything we needed including tea! The canal locks were a thrilling surprise to watch when going for coffee or ice cream. Loch Ness cruise was beautiful. Everything you could need from coffee to restaurants and gift shops to convenience store all walking distance but very quiet complex with a city link bus stop 5-6 minute walk to explore the highlands.

I went with 12 family members and pictures don’t do justice to this fantastic spot! Absolutely would recommend to everyone. Very peaceful surroundings so many things to do inside and outside the lodge. Alan was really really helpful answered pretty much straightaway to every message I sent. Not a single cobweb in sight around the whole lodge and this place is huge! All the facilities and amenities you need are located within the house.

Another wonderful stay here. Cozy, comfortable caravan with a beautiful, peaceful view. Spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy sofas, helpful hosts. Perfect for watching the world go by outside. Can't wait to return next year!

We can't recommend enough to choose this beautiful place for your long or short stay. We spent the whole 4 days here and could stay much longer! The main point is the location, apartament based in a gorgeous monastry just by the Loch Ness, with so many things to do on the grounds, swimming, snooker, game of giant chess, basketball, football or just strall around beautifully garden or picninc just by the scenic Loch Ness. Fort Augustus is about an hour drive to both Inverness or fort William so great spot for exploring Scotish Highlands. The apartament was very clean and had everything we needed! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen equipped, there were plenty of games or films to watch after the long day exploring. Very baby friendly, high chair and cot provided. We truly enjoyed pur stay and we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at the old abbey - we felt a bit like Harry Potter at Hogwarts. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very spacious. The abbey's outdoor area is a dream and the pool is wonderful!

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

The Highland Club is extraordinary. Our host, Fernando, was exceptional! One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and always available if you need anything. The apartment was wonderful and felt like "home away from home." An easy walk over to the little shops, bars and cafes in Fort Augustus by the canal made the stay even better. Not to mention the proximity to The Boathouse restaurant... a fun little spot with great food! Not only is the apartment in a unique and fantastic location, the view of Loch Ness from the grounds is like nothing you've ever experienced - beautiful and tranquil, to say the least. A perfect "home base" to head out and experience other parts of the Highlands... like, Isle of Skye. WOW!!!!! Stay here! You won't regret it!!
