Tethera Nook is the South East wing of Hylands with wonderful views. Set over three floors, surrounded by beautiful gardens. It has been renovated with great care, to the highest standard of design, using quality materials and finishes. It is a place to rest and unwind, to wander and sit in a garden full of wildlife, to gaze at the ever-changing views. It's 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Riflemans Arms

Shorter stays will be considered but are down to our discretion if it backs on or before another booking to fill the space. (No Saturday departures) No Fri-Sat bookings so far into the future.

Beautiful little bolt-hole for two - Chapel Stile.

'The Piggery' is a tiny house next to Silver Howe (a six-bed holiday let). It's a bright happy space with an open plan kitchen/dining/living space upstairs and a cosy bedroom and bathroom with underfloor heating downstairs. Perfect for outdoorsy couples or individuals. A wonderful location with spectacular walks or bike rides from your doorstep. Just two minutes walk away from the village shop and pub.

Ideal for couples and young families. Completed in 2020, The Byre is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater in the Lake District. Thornythwaite Farm is in Matterdale which is a peaceful valley off the beaten track but with great access to all the popular areas of the Lakes. There are plenty of walks from the door and a good pub, The Royal, is just a short stroll down the road.

Heron Beck is a spacious home set in beautiful countryside. We had three adults and two teenagers staying in the house with plenty of space. The house is comfortable and clean, in peaceful surroundings. The layout of the house is focused around the amazing views, so you can for example have evening dinner looking out at the wonderful view. The garden has a wonderful patio area, with stunning flowers. We were lucky enough to experience all of this during a warm sunny week and found the patio a real sun trap. We found the location convenient as it is easy access to the main road, but not too close, and we were able to do a really nice walk to Grasmere with in 10-15 minutes. We found an evening walk is really nice as it is not as crowded. We found the kitchen well equipped and were able to cook our meals easily. I would recommend this as a great place to stay.

We had a great stay! The Appartment is perfectly located in the centre of the village, with private parking provided. The Appartment was very spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed. The hosts were very hospitable, and were always available to help or answer questions. They even provided a secure location for us to store our bikes. We will be back again.

Wendy and Tony were fantastic hosts, and they made us feel totally at home. The location is so special, right on the Cumbria Way. We are so grateful for all the extra help - notably a request for porridge for breakfast before a race I had, and helping me to dry out my shoes afterwards!
