Holiday rentals with lake access in Grasmere

Perfect base for a lads and dads weekend. All the facilities we needed, comfortable, gorgeous views, no faff.

Had a great time staying here with some friends for a long weekend in the Lake District. Really unique house, and easy access to great hikes.

Such a fantastic stay at Elizabeth’s place. Truly a home away from home. Such a beautiful house, with stunning decor, very well equipped kitchen, perfect sun trap garden area and very clean throughout. Elizabeth was an exemplar host with such detailed recommendations and really lovely welcoming gifts. The location of the house is absolutely perfect. Would recommended in a heartbeat. We’ll definitely be back!

parking for 2 cars was perfect. location was great and so quiet and yet in the centre of everything.

We were four separate, senior girlfriends and had enough room and enjoyed the location and easy communication with Elisabeth. We had an issue that Elizabeth helped us to resolve. The location is wonderful for enjoying the town or walking straight from the house to and around the lake, driving or walking to Castlerigg stone circle or heading out on an adventure which we did when we drove to Buttermere and then onto St. Bee’s through the windy country roads! The home had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We would have enjoyed a higher quality set of linens in the bedrooms and bath towels as well but for a four night stay everything was fine. I recommend staying at Elisabeth’s home in Keswick.

Immaculate house in a really good location. Crown Inn was right on the doorstep and the food was excellent there. We could walk to coniston lake and do a lot of activities there and great walks nearby. One bathroom is just off the kitchen and the other on the second floor so we were a little surprised by that but only coz we looked at the photos more than read the description! It still worked just fine, we were 2 families of 3.

Fantastic accommodation! Great location - a short walk (5-10 min) to Bowness town centre and with its own private parking space. Very peaceful (and private) surroundings with superb garden and outdoor decking with beautiful views over Lake Windermere. Property was very clean and comfortable, with great facilities (dishwasher, washing machine, log burning stove, very comfy beds) throughout. Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, both before and during our stay. Can't recommend highly enough.

Stayed here as I was running an Ultra (the Lap) in the area with a start point not far away so this was an ideal location. What made this stay amazing was the property itself and Louise’s communication which was spot on, very friendly and welcoming. I felt at home when I didn’t need any distractions other than the event I was focussed on and this was 100% possible here. I even met some of the neighbours who were really lovely and helpful too. 100% recommend staying here ❤️

Everything was good. Close to everywhere. Free car Park. 2 bathroom, 2 bedrooms. Perfect 100% dark blinds on the windows, so you can sleep even during the Day.

Only stayed one night before a wedding we were going to the next day but was perfect for us. Ray even accommodated us with the check out time which we were extremely grateful for. If we need to stay in the area again we’d try booking here again. 🙂

Beautiful apartment Helen’s instructions were really clear & check in was seamless. Didn’t really get to appreciate the surrounding area except for the stunning views. This was a brief visit as our son was competing in the Lakes Ultramarathon. We were very grateful for the welcome hamper this allowed him to refuel post race. We will definitely be back ❤️

Scafell View had everything we needed. There was onsite private parking so guaranteed an easy space opposite the property and the apartment is a good size with everything you need. There were 3 of us staying and it great base from which to explore the local area and the views are amazing, especially the night sky! Sharon provided clear instructions on how to find the property with some suggestions and helpful info in the apartment. The only thing I'd ask for would be a few more adult board games for the evenings.

Great little stay walking distance from the train station. Lovely, quiet home was everything we needed!

Steve’s place was just what we we needed for a week of hiking. Had everything we wanted to do a bit of cooking. Always found a place to park nearby. Nice hot shower after tramping around in the hills all day. Also - the bed was plenty comfortable and we slept well. Our stay went very smoothly from start to finish. Thanks!

Western Lakes are delightful. Loved being here. Some truly spectacular local walks and the coast was a definite bonus, as was the weather which was 20+ and sunny the whole week. Super cosy cottage in great location!

We absolutely loved our stay on the farm. The location is easy to find and is beautiful, within a five minute walk to the shores of the lake. Jonathon was responsible, friendly and informative with his communication prior to arrival. The loft itself is absolutely beautiful inside and out and the photos don't do it justice. It's clean, spacious (2 of us) and has stunning views looking over the lake and the Old Man. There is a cafe on site and although we didn't have time to try any food, it looked lovely. We will definitely be revisiting this beautiful part of the lakes again and highly recommend the site. Our only criticism was the mattress, which wasn't to our taste and felt a little old.

Excellent spot to stay for a stay in the Lake District. The accommodation was exactly what, I and my two adult, needed for a weekend of walking. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Would be happy to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay, perfect getaway for a couple and so close to the local amenities. Centre of town less than 5 minute walk and not much longer to walk to Derwent water. Hosts left some delicious home made brownies and were super helpful with questions. Free parking pass in local car parks as no parking on the road. Cottage is on a small busy road so a bit noisy at times and loading up to leave was tricky. Overall we highly recommend this cottage, we felt so at home and really enjoyed the open log fire which was made up and ready to light.

Lovely cottage ideally located on the edge of Windermere town, Walked to the lake and travelled by boat to Brockhole and returned on the bus. Good transport and restaurants. Thank you Mark - we really enjoyed our stay.

This was our second stay at The Haven and it was just as lovely as we remembered! Beautiful surroundings and extremely clean, the property had everything we needed. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future!

Lovely stay, accomodation was clean and had everything we needed, lots of useful bits in the cupboards! Some great recommendations for walks, the lake district never disappoints even when it's wet! The accomodation was great to come back to to warm up after long walks and relax! Thank you Leah, can't wait to be back!

One can see a lot of thought has gone into providing a well appointed residence. The location is excellent and Stuart's place has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay and we would gladly return.
