Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Greene County

If you are looking for a family get together on the lake with beautiful views, this is it. We stayed at the house the entire time, except for a short trip to Eatonton to visit the book store, a gallery and have a smoothie downtown. We made dinners together on the grill and used double oven in kitchen. Everyone played games, swam, fished, canoed and had fun. we had 16 of us from 61 to 1. All bedrooms were spacious and enjoyed having plenty of bathrooms.

We had a great stay at this beautiful property. It was plenty of room for our crew of 9 and doggies. Some areas of the house could use some love, like the bathrooms, but overall great place and kind hosts. We loved our time on the boat, again spacious enough for the whole family!

Really enjoyed our stay as the home was perfect size and my family loved it. Very clean and very well appointed from furnishings to kitchen wares. Hot tub and fire pit were also great along with lake views.

This home was absolutely perfect. Cant say enough good things about this home. Beautiful, bright, clean and well appointed. Debbie was extremely responsive. Could not ask for more in a vacation rental.

This was by far one of my best experiences I’ve had on Airbnb. The home was beautiful, clean and right on the lake. The location was seconds from everything. I would definitely recommend this home to any and everyone!

We had the greatest time! The house was really cozy my son LOVED the Lego’s. We had so much fun on the dock and with the paddle boards. We rented a boat and really liked that we could stop by the house for lunch and get right back on.

We enjoy our stay everytime we stay here. Has everything we need and always clean and comfortable. Host are very kind. Would stay here again if back in the area.

We had a lovely, weeklong stay. The host was very helpful, accommodating, and responsive. The home was gorgeous, exactly as pictured. The amenities were superb and perfect for working from home (in the business center). I wish we had gotten more time to use them. The only few things to note, the neighbors are very loud. We could hear them each night, late at night arguing, stomping around, playing music. A previous guest had ruined their laundry door, so that caused a bit of a stir navigating to do laundry. When we arrived, the cleaners hadn’t done a complete job, but we assumed this is because we requested to check in two hours sooner than expected, of which, the host was very accommodating. He provided us with a partial refund for the inconvenience. I would totally stay here again and definitely recommend it for traveling families.

This was my first time in Athens, and this Airbnb was great place. Felt right at home, close commute to everything while also having a nice and peaceful place stay. Definitely would stay here again!

I loved the location of the Bobbin Mill cottage. Everything was so peaceful and quiet (except for those crazy Cardinal birds - LOL!). The unit was spacious and mostly sparkling clean. The bed was so comfortable. It was good to have the two wall heaters that worked so well, since it got a little chilly on a couple of the nights of my stay. I truly appreciated the responsiveness of the people with MPM Vacation Rentals who worked with me to make it possible to check-in a little early, and then quickly refunded my early check-in fee when it turned out I couldn't get to the property until after the standard check-in time. I enjoyed the two large TVs, even though the internet service through the eero Wi-Fi device was a bit spotty. It went down numerous times during my stay. Some other suggestions I might have for the host is to stock the kitchen with more non-perishable conveniences (like coffee creamers and sweeteners) and to do some repairs on weather stripping on the front door. Thanks!

I loved Joes place. It is quiet and peaceful, near a lake and you may see some wildlife like deer around his home. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and comfortable. Joe had a basket of things you may forget to bring on your trip such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush and lotion. I needed to stay an extra night and Joe was very accommodating. One thing to note if you need an Uber or Lyft they do not service the area. I had to call a cab to the airport.

Phil & Erin have thought of everything, down to the popcorn. We also got a kick out of the “trash fairy” service!! What a great perk!! The amenities of the complex were very nice - we enjoyed the pool and the fitness center. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook; the bathroom included shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We had a great, relaxing week!!

Great spot! Wish we good have used some of the outdoor amenities but weather did not cooperate with our schedule! Beautiful spot!

If you appreciate rustic history this is the place for you. The updating and modernization was just enough to be completely comfortable but also appreciate how old the house was that we were staying in. Yvonne was great and stayed in contact with us in case we had an issue finding the property (which we did not), and even had some bread from a local bakery waiting for us. The place was close enough town to enjoy all that Athens has to offer but also be able to enjoy the quiet Georgia countryside.

This is a beautiful property. The grounds were very well kept and the home was spacious. One tiny detail was the bedroom listed with three single beds did not disclose that one of them was a roll-away bed. But other than that, everything was great. The kitchen had everything needed for our weekend stay. I would certainly stay here again should I have the opportunity. The fans on the porch were very nice as well. The walk down to the lake was easy and just as described.

This is our fourth year coming here and as always it was great! The kids and Grandchildren never want to leave and are asking when can we come back as we are pulling out of the driveway. There's plenty of room for all the kids to play, fishing and swimming among other activities. The front porch is perfect for a morning cup of coffee before everyone gets up and I love watching the deer as they cross the yard down by the pond. Ron is quick to respond and helps with any concerns. We will definitely be back.

We have had the opportunity to stay in this cabin/home two different times for a race weekend at Durhamtown Off-road park. It is about 15 minutes away and allows for us to have a space that accommodates our family and needs for a race weekend. The house is incredibly private and has more than enough amenities - we don’t even get enough time to enjoy all it is equipped with. The bunk room is a favorite for the children and we are honestly very thankful for the little things like USB plugs in the lamps, extra blankets, dark towels after being in dirt dust all day, and even supplies for s’mores! The kitchen is fully stocked with well kept items so that planning for meals is easy. Our children even enjoy running around the yard, we just don’t get much time at the house. This would be an easy and fun getaway to enjoy some solitude if you’re not spending all your time at the dirt track.

Such a beautiful location on the lake. A wonderful, charming rustic home with all the necessary items needed to relax in a bit of paradise. You will need to bring your own bath soap and shampoo.
