Welcome to The Best Dam Cabin! We're located on the San Marcos River, just a short drive to Austin and San Antonio. This hand-built tiny cedar cabin is nestled inside an early 1900s cotton gin. Includes unlimited river access and the use of paddleboards with your stay. Whether you want to get away and read a good book near the river, go fishing or play games with the family, there's fun for everyone of all ages. Cabin's decor based on local legend & Broadway hit, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, replete with the madam's bed. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, & dishwasher. BBQ on the outdoor propane grill and enjoy a campfire under the stars (bring your own firewood). 2 miles off highway. Pets OK with a $30 per pet fee. Up to three. Picnic area has sunrise views with firepit, games, and picnic table. *As of March 2026 a house started construction up the hill from the cabin. There may be some noise between 8am-5pm.
