The property is located on our farm, where we got cute goats, ducks and have free roaming hens and quails who lay eggs every day. Our neighbour's sheep may come for a visit, and we are right on one of Norway's fjords, Lurefjorden, - all in all this is a perfect place to get away from it all and reconnect with nature. Stunning views of Gaustatoppen and the surrounding mountains, not to mention Milky Way, and thousands of stars on those cloudless nights. Very quiet location down a private road.

Mountain cabin in Trodla-Tysdal after 3 hours hike

Trodla-Tysdal has been a tourist destination for hikers since 1892. Tourists have to walk for appox. 3 hours (7 km) from Kleivaland parking place. There is no driving road to Trodla-Tysdal. Trodla-Tysdal means the valley of the Norwegian Trolls due the wilderness and dramatic nature. In 1996 Reidunn and Kjell built a tourist cabin for hikers. In 1998 in addition a small private cabin. In 2017 this small cabin was renewed and now it is possible to book this small cabin for you.

Summer: the cabin is 1 min from the lake just walking distance at the back of the main house. We have sitting area by the lake and sitting area by the small river (this is nearest to the cabin). Feel free to choose. Winter: The cottage is a 20 mins drive to Rauland Ski Center. You can also ski on the frozen lake. Cross country is also a possibility near the area. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Has access to lake. Great way to spend your summer.

Hytta ligger ved Tinnsjøen med parkering rett ved siden av. Den ligger 6 kilometer fra Mæl fergeleie i retning Atrå. Det er 17 kilometer til Rjukan, 25 kilometer til Gaustatoppen og vakre fjellområder. Vakker utsikt, lang solgang. Det er ikke innlagt vann i hytta, men vannkran rett utenfor. Gratis ved til vedovnen. Når det er frost og kuldegrader, er det ikke vann i krana ute. Da må man hente vann hos verten. Robåt er til disposjon gratis. Påhengsmotor 1-3 dager kr. 400,-
